I needed to use the restroom and I saw the sign for the Paris Landing State Park so we stopped. I am so glad we did. This park is LOVELY!!!!! The waters edge is gorgeous....and there is a swimming beach. Tons of picnic areas with grills and lots of fishing spots...and tons of people fishing. I need to get my fishing license and so does Tony. I want to go back here to swim and picnic this summer once my daughter arrives. There is NO charge..it is all FREE to enjoy!! SO WHY AREN'T YOU???? get out there...take pictures and leave reviews...enjoy the state parks and let me know what you think.. I love to share and I love to see what others are enjoying

The State park is well taken care of however the areas are all separated and must be driven…read morebetween. Lakefront camping spots have no electric or water access. Bath house near lakefront camping has bathrooms but no shower. The lake front camping spots are gravel and are going to be rough on your tarp/tent/airmattress/feet. Happy Hollow looks fantastic and I definitely would've loved to stay there. They have hook-ups, bathrooms, and showers. There is no longer a playground at happy hallow like it shows on the map and lists on the website. We went to Eva Beach recreation area and there is a playground there but it's about a 12 minute drive from the campgrounds. The recreation area had a sandy beach, but a foul smell and the water was very dirty. There are 2 large factories that make a humming noise that can be heard from the campgrounds and constantly seeing the large plumes of smoke from them on both sides of the lake ruins the nature side of things. The cabins were nice. Lakefront camping spots are not kid friendly - lake on one side and a road that people fly down on the other. I personally wouldn't recommend this park especially for families but if you have to stay here then stay at happy hollow.

The playground is expansive, the disc golf sprawling, and the nature trail walk is safe, well-paved and contained to the area. The tasteful patriotic memorials are lovely reminders of those who have served and continue to serve our country. Even on a weekday evening, there were plenty of children, people playing disc golf, strolling alone or with their dogs. A safe and lovely outdoor venue!

I saw several groups playing disc golf and there appear to be 18 basket targets. The tee off signs include memorials for various wars as well. A pavilion with fourteen picnic tables that seat eight each can accommodate at least a hundred people. There are four small grills as well. The children's playground has both baby and regular swings, slides, and plenty of areas to climb and burn off energy. A butterfly garden displays lots of butterfly-friendly plants and some small water features. There are several chairs to sit and enjoy the butterflies. Overall, it's a beautiful, quiet park with plenty of space to either play or relax and reflect.

The park is very small and flanked by busy traffic of cars moving around it on both sides. Not a peaceful and quiet park to meditate yet it is worth visiting and is very well kept with well designed paths and stairways.

South Welcome Station…read more Great entrance to the Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Much slower and quitter than any of the other areas. The welcome center has its own small park area with grills and a kids play area. And a dog walk area. For hunting season there's also a deer weigh station. Inside there's the usual tourist info and souvenir/Tee Shirts. Every thing you'd find at the other entrances, just on a smaller scale.

It's a small visitor's center with restrooms, gift shop and super nice lady who will answer all your questions about this area. Although, entrance into this park is free, you can process to receive passes here for all National Parks, etc. For military personnel, it's a great deal to receive an annual military pass (to all federally operated parks, nature reserve, recreational area, etc. which require entrance fees) for free (that's $80 savings annually). It allows your privately owned vehicle to enter free. There are some fees if you want to go to beach area or enjoy planetarium at the main visitor center. Lots of trails if you want to explore up close and personal. Enjoy!

No one offered them napkins, BUT I am an always be prepared kinda lady and had Charmin wet wipes in our tour pack. Ya never know! The BBQ, AMAZING! It always is. There is a campground/RV park in behind the bar and General Store. Very clean and well maintained. I've stayed there a couple of nights in the past. I've been told that on Tuesday's they have an amazing steak dinner. I've never been there for that, but I'm looking forward very much to trying it soon. They have…read moreover 100 camp sites, bath/shower house, pool, store, bar, live band, pavilion, they cook every weekend night. Very family oriented unless you decide to go to the bar that is. The owner Mary was very accommodating to our family and always very warm and welcoming when we stopped in the store. All the campers were the same. We were tent camping but Mary let us set up in front of a rental camper so we could use the electric to charge to boat and she was even gave us access to the camper to use the restroom and wash our dishes. She ever notified us that a neighboring camper was putting their camper up for sale and was just what we were looking for. We are now considering buying the camper and having a place up there of our own.
