NO DEJE QUE EL LE HAGA UNA CIRUGÍA. Svend Bjorn was CARELESS about my case. He performed surgery on my infected toenail, leaving part of the toenail infected in the upper part. He removed half of the toenail, leaving an area infected on the upper side of the left-hand side of the toenail. At first, on the day of surgery, he didn't want to numb my toe to perform the surgery until I insisted. When he started the surgery, he covered it with his hand to not let me see his cut angle. When he lifted his hand, I realized he had left that spot with fungus. I was shocked, I could not say a word while he was doing the surgery because I thought it was illogical, but his license as a doctor shut my mouth. When he finished the surgery, I asked him politely what about that spot he left, and he said that one could be taken care of with vaseline . . . Sure, so I guess I could have used vaseline the entire time to kill the fungus without surgery then . . . I ended up in his clinic because I could not eliminate the fungus with anything they offered at the counter. I ended up in his clinic because he was the only doctor in my area who took my insurance then. That fungus from that upper corner spread over the brand-new nail that came up after surgery. All he said was to put vaseline. He constantly showed himself to be careless about me. He would come to me as if everything was fine and fun, while on the inside, he was not concerned for my toenail. He had a crooked smile. So if this was personal against me: I'm Latino with an accent and work as a minister. That's about all the info he had to do what he did. I put that as a reference for whoever may find that helpful. Honestly, I can't understand why he behaved like this other than NOT WANTING TO HELP ME for reasons that may be obvious but are hard to believe exist in the medical field. I went with another podiatrist in Sulphur Springs who prescribed me pills to kill the fungus since there is no way that the same surgery can be done. You only get one chance. I trusted my toenail to Dr. Bjorn, and he was careless about it. The pill is a long process; it takes months. I wish I had done that in the beginning. Even though the pills helped to kill the fungus that spread over the brand-new nail, my toenail still has the damage Dr. Bjorn left. The bed of my toenail has trauma from the surgery he performed and the times I went to follow up with him.
