I scheduled an appointment for my two small terriers. One loves to be groomed and the other is scared. I gave him medicine and a long walk beforehand! After drop off I get a call that one is scared and they do not feel comfortable grooming him. Okay cool just do not charge me when you did not complete a service! You refused the services! I show up and the girl is rude and yells at me and tells me that her services aren't free? What services you refused me service! You did not do anything to my dog but hold him. My original appointment was scheduled for Saturday, August 30, within a two-hour time frame. I had to reach out myself for an ETA, only to be told their van had mechanical issues. A courtesy call would have been appropriate rather than leaving me waiting the entire day without service. I rescheduled for the following day, but again, after the two-hour window passed, the groomer arrived 30 minutes late. The appointment itself was concerning. The groomer, Jorge, and his assistant both acted as though they did not work directly for Park & Bark, but rather were "called in to help." Throughout the visit, they repeatedly told me I had been overcharged, claimed they would have charged me half the quoted price, and encouraged me to bypass Park & Bark entirely by contacting them directly for future services. Jorge even provided his personal phone number and asked me to send him a photo of my dog so he could reach out in two months to book directly--again, at half the price. To make matters worse, Jorge claimed his card reader was not working and insisted on payment via Zelle or PayPal, despite the company confirming in advance that they accepted credit card payments. I ended up sending Jorge $140 via Zelle (as instructed by his assistant) and included a $20 tip. On Monday, September 1, I received a receipt from the booking app showing a payment of only $125. Confused, I contacted Park & Bark and spoke with Jennifer, who confirmed the correct price was $125. I informed her I had paid $140. She asked for proof of payment, which I provided, and assured me she would reach out to Jorge to have him return the $15 overcharge. Despite her acknowledgment, I never received the refund. Instead, I later received a voicemail from Jorge asking me to call him so he could "explain what happened." I did not need excuses, so I followed up with Jennifer again. She minimized the situation, claiming Jorge had tried to contact me several times (he had only called once) and offered no accountability as to why the refund had not been processed. I reminded her Jorge had my phone number and already knew I was registered through Zelle, which he could have easily used to send the refund. During our conversations, I also shared with Jennifer that Jorge was attempting to steal me as a customer by asking me to book with him directly instead of through Park & Bark. She admitted that was not acceptable and seemed surprised. However, when I requested a full refund due to the unprofessionalism and dishonesty, her tone and attitude completely shifted. She stated Jorge only suggested calling him directly because Park & Bark offers discounts when specific groomers are requested. That was not true--Jorge explicitly asked me not to book through Park & Bark. Following this, Jennifer abruptly ended our conversation, promising to call me back after speaking with Jorge. I never received a call. Instead, I received a text with a new invoice reflecting a charge of $140. When I questioned this, Jennifer claimed she had updated the amount due to "issues with their payment app." Yet, she had previously confirmed multiple times that my bill was $125 and that I was owed a $15 refund. At this point, it is clear this company operates unethically and without accountability. A simple $15 refund turned into a pattern of dishonesty, shifting explanations, and avoidance of responsibility. Instead of correcting their mistake, they attempted to cover it up by altering invoices after the fact. Park & Bark has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and respect for their customers. All I wanted was a refund of the overpayment and acknowledgment of the error, but instead I was met with excuses, dishonesty, and shady business practices. I will not be using their services again and strongly caution others from doing so. read more

Asked the groomer Ashley for a teddy bear type cut on a golden doodle, was later called and told the blade won't go through, I said "do what you have to" that doesn't = Completely shave him from head to toe because you can't be bothered to spend some time to make him look nice. Jason was able to show up earlier than our appointment time, which was great! He shaved my little terrier down from shag to short and summer-ready. He was attentive to ask about any health conditions (i.e. heart murmur, collapsing trachea, weak back legs). I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he delivered. He dremeled her nails and cleaned her anal glands. She has many skin tags and skin lumps, but everything was in tact despite being shaved. She looks great and I can tell she feels better. Ashley, didn't attempt to follow what we asked our dog to look like after showing up late. A goldendoodle shouldn't be shaved from head to toe when his fur wasn't in terrible condition. Neither of our dogs (goldendoodle and lhasa apso) were bathed nor had their ears cleaned during their appointment. They were rushed and it felt like a money grab, rather than rescheduling for a different day. She didn't show any sympathy when we opened the door and she said our doodle was in "rough shape" and that she didn't want to give him "brush burn." Ashley knew we didn't want him shaven down and said "no" when asked if any of his hair could have been saved after we saw him. His hair will take forever to grow back. I thought the third time would be the charm. I gave all considerations and took my own responsibilities for my disappointments. They booked my appointment for Sunday and warned that a non cancellation would end in a fine. I was happy to not cancel and grateful I had an appointment just before Thanksgiving. I have a full family traveling in to see me and my three large dogs. They not only "no showed", not a single phone call was answered nor a text returned. It takes intent to avoid calls to the degree they have. I'm certain my phone number has been blocked. I was never rude, just sayin. I appreciate a family owned business. This is the most unprofessional business that I have ever dealt with I have had a standing appointment every six weeks for my three dogs going on 6 years they have missed numerous appointments with us here waiting on them them will not answer the phone. Wow. So disappointed. We have a 90lb husky malamute. More malamute than anything-we sent pictures, provided details on what we needed and were initially pleasantly surprised at how quickly we could get an appointment in within the same week of our reach out. Appointment was set for 2-4 PM. My wife received a text confirming a bit of an earlier time which we obliged. Derek showed up in an unmarked white van and looked extremely tired for the end of the day, I asked him how his day was going and he said long which was indicative of not being ready for this appt-in my mind. a groomer, who is tired, is not needing to groom a dog -again we have a 90 pound malamute. my wife had to help usher her to the van as Derek seemed to have a bit of a hard time getting her up in the van, we plugged his extension cord into the house, which is customary for mobile grooming, I suppose? No more than 30 minutes had passed when My Wife got a phone call stating that his clippers wouldn't work and only the lights to his van were working. now mind you our initial conversation he stated he wasn't going to shave her. He was going to do the most He could without needing to do that if that was the case, why were you concerned that your clippers weren't working? Anyway, Rara came back and he said that he was able to brush her out, clean her ears and clip her toenails. Now here is where it gets nasty. My dog has basically no toenail on her back right paw and it was bleeding to the point where we could see the dried blood on her paw pad, and on her white fur, her quick is showing and open I know she yelped and was extremely uncomfortable because now she will not let anyone touch her toe. She was not brushed out her ears were still dirty and it was as if we didn't have anybody do anything for her, except for rip her toenail off. he said that they would text us to let us know of a reschedule well guess what, when they texted for the reschedule we politely declined because I refused to have my dog be traumatized by a man who does not know how to cut her toenails and if you're tired, you should've just rescheduled to begin with. his response text was that he's sorry to hear that, but there was no blood in his van -that does not matter. There is blood on my dogs paw I do not recommend this place. How do you have a mobile grooming that has no logo on your van in addition not have a working generator and or back up van? Also, the reschedule was for a week later if this was your inconvenience to us wouldn't we be a priority for the next available business day? Do not recommend we will have to take her business elsewhere. I will not have my dog traumatized again. My thoughts are that he was extremely tired because he had a long day he realized how big of a dog we had, how much work it would take, and that wasn't something he was willing to do if you can't handle this size of a dog, or this amount of work at this time of day then you all should not come for the appointment. read more
