I recently came across a photo of my dog from her appointment at this groomer a year ago, and it reminded me of the horrible experience we had. After her appointment, I received a phone call informing me that my dog was no longer allowed back because she was "very aggressive." This was shocking to hear because my dog has never shown any aggression in her life. She's sweet, gentle, and has never had issues with any other groomer. What upset me the most was how she behaved in the days following the appointment. She would flinch when we lifted our hands near her, something she had never done before. This change in her behavior makes me certain that she was mistreated during her visit. To compare, I have photos of her from appointments at other groomers, where she always left happy and calm. The difference after her visit here was heartbreaking. I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing their pets here to think twice. Your pets deserve a place where they are treated with care and kindness, and unfortunately, this was not our experience. These photos clearly demonstrate 3 different groomers based on the cutting style. I also added the photo of her immediately after I picked her up.

Sissy always does an amazing job! This last time was especially great. My dogs went in looking pretty raggedy and came out looking brand new. My two cocker spaniels always seem to come out of their happy, so I know they are treated well. I highly recommend sissy's!

Best dog grooming salon in Tucson. Always my go to option. Thank you for making room for my puppy every time.

I used Sissy's a couple of times 2 out of 3 were done right. The owner is a complete A$$ left my dogs and no calls anything when they were done. I called them. The dogs had been done for an hour and no calls. There are better places out there comparable $.

My dogs fur a month before we took her to sissy's

Zeros starts if possible. I took my Australian shepherd in for a good bath and summer cut to clean up her fur a little bit shorter than a sanitary cut. And they straight up shaved my dog. Will never be going back. For anyone working at a dog grooming place they should know the breeds and what is healthy for the breed or not healthy. We live in Arizona how the heck does it make sense to shave an Australian shepherd when it is a Breed that needs their fur for temperature regulation! WTF over all do not recommend. Once again will not be going back and I recommend to make sure your groomer actually knows what they are doing.

My fur babies love Erin. Sissy's staff are amazing and love my babies almost as much as I do. I highly recommend them.

Picture should explain it all. My 3 pound Yorkie got butchered by them: she left a Yorkie came back like a wild baby coyote. Pretty much shaved her down and gave her no face shape. She had no knots at all to justify a shaving. I do take my dogs to get their nails trimmed there which has gone well for years but grooming there was a big mistake. Owner is super nice and very knowledgeable of dogs. But their groomers aren't the best. My mom also takes her dog there and 8/10 times he comes back looking butchered. Definitely a hit or miss on that. I cried when I saw my dog. The haircut was horrid

We have been taking our dogs to Sissy's for more than 10 years, 3 dogs and never ever been anything but completely happy with the way they groom and treat our pups. When we got our current fur baby at the pound on a Sunday morning she looked almost as bad as the dog in these photos, so I called Sissy's, got Nico and asked if he had an opening, he said, just bring her in. When we picked her up she was the most beautiful little dog and even though she was an abused rescue Nico did fine with her. I recommend Sissy's to friends all the time and will continue to do so.

I have taken my fur baby to Sissy's for 3 years. It always amazes me with how much love and care they put towards grooming my husky! He always comes home looking even more handsome then when he was dropped off! I 100% recommended everyone taking their fur babies to Sissy's

If you're looking for a great place to get your dog groomed look no further. We have tried many spots around Tucson, this is truly the best. Nico is our groomer, he goes above and beyond with our Bouivers. He takes his time and his cuts show the pride he takes in his work. Sissys pet grooming is highly recommended by us! Thank you Nico for once again cutting our Bouivers down for summer. We give you 5 wags!

I'm new to Tucson and needed boarding for my Golden Retriever while I took a two-day trip to California. After seeing good reviews for Dirty Dogs, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, the experience was full of red flags from the very beginning. Every time I called, my calls went unanswered. Instead, they would text me immediately saying everything had to be done online. I'm not great with online portals, so I asked if I could just come in and complete everything in person. I was told no. It all had to be done online. It wasn't until I texted that I was about to use another facility that someone finally called me. Since my dog had never been there before, she needed a temperament assessment. I wanted to bring her in a few days early so I could see the facility and make sure she was comfortable, but I would have been charged for that visit. They suggested I simply do the assessment on the morning of boarding, free of charge, so I trusted their recommendation. The morning of drop-off, I received a reminder text at 7:53 AM saying dogs had to be dropped off between 6:30 and 8. Since I was going to arrive around 8:15, I called immediately. I was told, "Well there are reminders (plural) that are sent and it's okay, but I would be charged a 15 dollar late fee because the dogs would already be kenneled. I decided not to argue about the ONE reminder since I would be leaving my dog alone with these people and didn't want anything to happen, I accepted responsibility and didn't argue. ******The real problem ****** happened when I arrived. I pulled up to the facility, walked around looking where to enter, an employee walked up, took my dog's leash out of my hand without introducing himself, didn't greet me, didn't greet my dog, and immediately started walking her inside. When I tried to follow, he blocked the entrance and told me I wasn't allowed in. That's the moment I knew I couldn't leave my dog there. As a dog owner, handing your pet over to strangers for the first time requires trust. I expected at least a friendly introduction, someone acknowledging my dog by name, explaining the process, or doing something to help me feel comfortable. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WOULD BE WATCHING MY DOG?? ANY NORMAL human with half an heart sees a Golden Retriever and wants to pet and greet her!! These are supposed to be people who work with and love dogs???? Instead, the interaction felt rushed, cold, and unsettling. I made the decision right then to cancel my Labor Day trip. losing the trip was disappointing AND COSTLY, but I don't regret that decision for a second. When the owner called me afterward, she told me she had reviewed the security footage and that the employee had followed normal protocol. I listened to her explanation, but when I tried to explain why the experience concerned me, I felt interrupted and corrected rather than heard. To make matters worse, I was still charged 170 dollars! I knew I would be charged for booking, but figured she would work with me! All I got was "you can still drop her off between 4-6pm" (whatever the drop off time was). I want to be CLEAR: **** This review isn't about the money. It's about trust. ***** When you're asking someone to care for your dog, especially for the first time, trust is everything. Unfortunately, I never felt that trust was earned. One final piece of advice, pay close attention to the reviews. Many of the older positive reviews appear to be from before the current ownership and many focus on grooming rather than boarding. Maybe this place works well for some people, but based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend boarding your dog here. This lady loves to post the videos on here to justify her actions, I HOPE TO GOD SHE DOES, because ANYONE who loves their pets will see how COLD this exchange was. && lady, POST THE AUDIO!!
