I lived at Park Central Apartments for three years and overall paid rent on time, including monthly pet rent and a pet deposit. When I moved out, the apartment management attempted to charge me nearly $3,000 for a full flooring replacement, claiming "odor damage." A few important facts: My pet was limited to the living room, but management is charging me for the entire apartment. I had already paid pet rent every month (over $2,000 in total) plus a deposit, which should reasonably cover pet-related wear and tear. The evidence provided shows no subfloor damage -- only general photos of the apartment -- yet management is insisting tenants cover the cost of what is essentially an upgrade to the unit. Flooring naturally depreciates over time and eventually needs replacement as part of standard property upkeep. It feels deeply unfair and unethical to make long-term tenants pay for property upgrades that should be the landlord's responsibility. I am happy to cover reasonable cleaning costs, but forcing tenants to fund capital improvements is unacceptable. My stay at Park Central Apartments left me with a mixed bag of experiences. While there were certainly some positive aspects, several significant drawbacks made it a less than ideal living situation. Let's start with the negative aspects that stand out prominently. One of the most frustrating aspects of my time at Park Central was the aggressive approach taken by management when it came to returning the deposit. They cited "aggressive cleaning" as the reason for withholding portions of the deposit, which left me puzzled. It would have been much more helpful if they had provided a detailed breakdown of what this term entails and what specific issues led to these deductions. Transparency in this regard is crucial for tenants' peace of mind. Living near the Jackson side of the complex brought its own set of challenges. Every morning at 4 am, residents were subjected to the disruptive noise of garbage cleanup. This daily early morning disturbance could be a deal-breaker for those who value their sleep and tranquility. Noise was a recurring issue, with loud sounds emanating from nearby bars that disrupted the peace and quiet. Living on Jackson side expect to hear loud arguing from the bar and also a lot of drunk people. What was even more disheartening was the management's response, or lack thereof, when alerting them about noisy neighbors. It appeared that they were unresponsive or unable to effectively address this ongoing concern. In addition to the challenges posed by nearby bars and noisy neighbors, another noteworthy disturbance was the annual sorority rushing process. While the initial singing and excitement may have seemed cute, it could stretch on for hours and hours, becoming increasingly tiring after a while. For residents who value their peace and quiet, this prolonged disruption during sorority rushing could be a significant drawback to living at Park Central Apartments. Furthermore, a power washing event organized by the management had disastrous consequences, resulting in damage to personal items. The lack of proper communication and warning regarding this event was both frustrating and disappointing. Tenants should be given ample notice and clear instructions to protect their belongings. One notable aspect worth mentioning is the frequent turnover of management from the Prometheus Group. Despite this, Alfonzo consistently provided friendly and helpful assistance, which was a bright spot in an otherwise tumultuous experience. In conclusion, Park Central Apartments had its fair share of issues that made it difficult to fully enjoy my stay. The aggressive deposit practices, early morning disruptions, and the problematic power washing event were all significant drawbacks. Additionally, the persistent noise and inadequate response to neighbor concerns created further challenges. While there were some redeeming qualities, it's clear that improvements are needed to make Park Central a more comfortable and tenant-friendly living environment. read more

This is one of the best places I have stayed at. The community is peaceful and well managed by Prometheus. The maintenance guys here are truly awesome and they can fix anything. The only complaint I have is about rent. They keep inflating the prices as there is no rent control in this area, and people give in to sign new leases at whatever prices they demand, thinking they are paying the "right" price. They also have your paychecks and increase the rent accordingly during lease renewal. This is one reason that leads to increased housing prices in bay area. There is a high disparity of new lease prices and old leases. However if you are okay with increased prices, it is a great place to live in. read more

This is my second year at Park Central Apartment. The community is very good, lot of restaurants near by, farmers market every Saturday and most importantly ample parking spots. The front desk people are very friendly and almost always the maintenance requests are handled the same day. The front desk arranges a lot of games nights/pool parties/breakfast grabs which is pretty cool I feel, never experienced this in my previous locality. They have now even started a printing service to allow printing of upto 20 pages which is pretty cool. The only issue I feel here is the squirrels, crazy amount of squirrels climbing up into my patio and destroying my flower garden for the third time now. No way to get rid of that issue. read more

Have been living here for more than 1 years. Its distance to SCU made me and my roommate very convenient to go to courses and come back. The community is very safe both during the day and at night, none of our mails and packages were lost, even we forgot it and kept it in the hub for weeks. The maintenance team is very efficient and friendly, we had called for maintenance several times, each time they would come the next day, and fix our issues shortly. read more

Here's the deal. The apartments are actually quite nice inside, and I've never had a problem with the actual apartment itself. The maintenance men are very helpful and hardworking. Now, as far as the complex as a whole... where do I start? I'll keep this short: There's virtually NO VISIBLE security present at night, which leaves you (the tenant) responsible for resolving nearby noise issues. Wow, that sucks. The greatest amenity... in my opinion... the hot tub is usually broken once a week for GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON. It's a refreshing thought for it to be 8 o'clock at night and want to go mellow out in the hot tub, when, to your surprise, the hot tub is not only closed but there's no water in it. Over and over again I've been met with disappointment with this. Figure it out already. Thirdly, the staircases are not kept up at all! Sure the grass is cut and the leaf blowers clean up the parking lots, but the stairs and corridors and dirty, stained, sticky, old-newspaper-laden. It's as if management tells maintenance to only function at ground-level. I just feel like a few simple steps could REALLY make this place 5-star. But, the consistently raised rent demonstrates that quality of life and thorough cleanliness ranks second to making a profit. Simple things like EXPLICITLY LABELING which area is trash and which is recycling. The trash dumpsters are usually filled with cardboard and glass bottles. Isn't recycling important? Especially in the Silicon Valley? Bottom line, when it comes down to being INTENTIONAL and COMPLACENT, I'd say Park Central has fallen complacent. But... there's always hope. read more

Live somewhere else. So I lived in PC for about 4 years. I had a pretty great time there because I lived there through law school and almost a year after I graduated. I was happy because PC is super close to campus, and a bunch of great restaurants. After my 4 years here the old manager left and a new one came in. At the same time I was basically kicked out. Rent was due to increase by about $200 a month. It had steadily increased before, but never by that much! So I needed a new place to live. They increased the rent most likely so I'd leave, they'd be able to renovate my apartment, and get some poor schmuck to pay top dollar and live there. So after 4 years, never having one complaint against me, I'm just kicked to the curb. They also were pretty terrible with the deposit. Though they were going to repaint the walls and redo the carpet anyway because of the remodel they still only gave me less than a dollar back on my deposit. I fought with them over a stupid tiny dent on the dryer door. They said it would cost over $100 to fix. I disagreed. So they reimbursed me an extra $30. I bet they didn't even end up fixing it. Also it can get loud, but you live next to a college campus AND two bars, so you really should have expected that... So unless you have a lot of money, AND go to SCU (otherwise you should seriously move somewhere cheaper) don't bother. read more

I lived here between June 2011- June 2012. I have to say I'm impressed by the apartments. Pros: -Akee and the other employees are very friendly and helpful. I once was late for a rent payment, but waived the $50 penalty fee (which, by the way, you should never miss). -Pool and hot tub are cleaned DAILY at 8 sharp in the morning. Needless to say, very clean. -Good balance of building and nature. I've seen squirrels, hummingbirds, and other flora/fauna that combine to make this a very peaceful community. -Apartment is relatively new, so no mold, etc. -Did I mention it's peaceful? Very quiet, and great to relax. You can hear the Caltrain once in a while, but you get used to it and don't hear it anymore. -Post office and Santa Clara Farmer's market is literally 1 minute away!! I can't emphasize how much I love this. Cons: -Watch out for pests as it gets hotter in the summer. As long as you vacuum constantly it shouldn't be a problem, but on occasions I've seen silverfish in my house. No cockroaches though, thankfully. -Although grounds are kept clean, constant leaf blowing gets loud sometimes. -Packages sometimes are just left in front of your door. It's never been stolen, but then again, it's completely up to the discretion of FedEx/UPS whether they take it to the office or not. -Rent, as consistent with other professionally managed properties, rises on average of $80~130 every year you re-sign (which is why I couldn't afford to stay here). It's a bit high, but reasonable for what you get. -"Gym" is literally a tiny room that barely stuffs 1 treadmill, 1 stationary bike, and 1 elliptical. And one vertical chest press. That's it. It gets awkward in that tiny space. Overall it's been a good stay. I love this apartment but after the rent hike I can't afford to live here anymore. I lived at Park Central for 2 years while I was at SCU. I think the first thing I would say about it is--don't live in Park Central if you don't go to SCU. There's a lot of non-college students who live there, but there's also a lot of students who aren't always quiet (especially on Wednesday, which is a big SCU party night). It was completely fine for me because I was part of the noisy group, plus I was used to loud living situations after living in the dorms. But really, don't go here if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet apartment complex. I also think they are a little bit over-priced for what they are, but we had 4 people in a 2 bedroom apartment so our rent was never too bad. I think now they are installing washer/dryer in the apartments, as well as air conditioning, so it might be more worth it now. The apartments are relatively clean too, although we did have some ant problems for a little while. Also the whole complex has been remodeled so it looks a lot better from the outside. I never had any problems with the management, but I had friends who did. The good thing is, I don't think they are purposely out to screw you. As long as you pay your rent on time and don't cause problems, they pretty much stay out of your way. The maintenance guy is great too--he was always quick to repair anything we needed, plus he was a really nice guy. Also, be warned--one of my roommates got her car broken into while it was in the parking lot. There were also a lot of homeless people who "lived" in the underground parking lots. Other than that, I usually felt safe--it's not a bad neighborhood, but it's not a great one either. So far so good. Good apartment with nice finishes if you get a remodeled unit (w/d, granite, nicer cabinets, etc). It is a bit pricey, which I hear is due to proximity to the university. I haven't experienced any of the university parties, noise or hooplah that I read on other reviews and we've been here for a few months now. Maybe it depends on where you are in the complex. Good neighborhood. We have a pooch so a good walking radius is important. This complex is smack in the middle of a bunch of historical homes in Santa Clara which are way more fun to walk past the apartment complexes and 7-Elevens. Its close to a variety of parks that I can walk to with my pup, plenty of restaurants, and you are literally right next door to the SC Farmer's Market every Saturday. Staff has been good from the tours, to signing the lease to the one or two service experiences we have had. We are on the ground floor, and we haven't heard anyone on either side of us, but our upstairs neighbors can be heard from time to time (a few times its been enough to be displeasing). I've lived in 4 different apartment communities in the Bay Area and this is one of the good ones. read more

Like Natalie G, I am a SCU student living in Park Central. The nice thing about living at Park Central is that you aren't subject to the housing limitations that you are placed living on campus. This means that when the dorms empty for the holidays, you have the power to stay. This also means that you get a somewhat better deal. Where students must leave for the month of winter break, you get to stay, and as a result, you can see yourself saving up to at least $2000-3000 over the life of one year. The front desk people are very kind. Akee, who I signed the apartment with, is very helpful and willing to listen to you and get you what you need. They are attentive to your needs with the price range that you can work with. Likewise, remember that they are here to make money, so if you can't afford the place, don't try push the envelope. Lastly, this place can get a little loud, and you have little power. The neighbors under me smoke and play their music at a loud volume, and as I am not on campus, there is little I can do about that. Plan accordingly where you move in. And of course, as a student, there is the upside of being more independent. read more

We lived in Park Central for almost three years and it continued to exceed expectations the longer my fiancé, our dog and I stayed. Maybe it's because our last two apartments totally sucked. But there is just so much to like about this place. It has everything. There's incredible Thai food just a stone's throw away. That along with frozen yogurt, a clutch liquor store, 7-11, pizza and some good Italian food. But the best thing, by a mile, is the farmer's market every Saturday morning. I mean, it's in the driveway of the complex. I really couldn't ask for anything more. It's got it all! Just beneath the farmer's market is the landscaping of the complex. It's so lush and gorgeous that it's hard to believe. It's full of beautiful, blossoming trees that look like a mirage. Brief summary of what I liked about this place: Affordable for the area, dog friendly, Kevin and Vanessa were beyond incredible and you couldn't for a more helpful staff. The maintenance guys were awesome, great pool and spa that I saw them taking care of daily, gym is nice but could be bigger (UPDATE: heard they're renovating the gym and making it bigger), they added barbecues down by the pool area and that was really enjoyable, lots of parking. They also provide you with a free pro carpet cleaning when you renew your lease and have little dog poop bags around the complex, which is convenient. Here are the only issues I experienced, and this is really, really nitpicking. You are going to deal with loud college students from time to time. It was pretty bad early on, but they dealt with them and it has improved significantly. But there were some really late nights that suck when you have to be at work by 8. Courtesy patrol could have been better there. But they weren't bad by any means. There was also a time when my bike was stolen, but that crap happens everywhere and if I had used a better lock or their bike section, probably could have been avoided. Overall, I give this place 5/5. And I don't give that out lightly (just read my other reviews). This place offers incredible customer service, it's beautiful, well taken care of, quiet and in such a peaceful location. There's so much to like about this and it only continues to get better. If you need a solid place to live that's affordable (for the area), who'd be hard-pressed to find a better spot. We only moved so my fiancé could be closer to her work. A beautiful walk to Santa Clara University for all of you staff, students & faculty. Also close is Safeway, Costco, Target, Wells Fargo, the Post Office & more. This awesome complex is down the street from The Police Dept & Fire Station so it is super safe. It's also in a historical neighborhood with gorgeous Victorian homes. The complex has a pool, spa, & clubhouse where they host events. The units have a washer & dryer inside, granite counter tops, porcelain tile flooring, & stainless steel appliances. We moved into these apartments 6 months ago and now decided to move to another place. Though the location of this place is good, the rents are quite steep (not worth it). Recently, a tire got stolen from my car while parked at the apartment and when we complained to the management, they didn't seem to care a bit. Just asked us to call and inform the cops. They increased our rent too after the lease expired, so we decided to move to a nearby place with same amenities, but less rent. Just wanted to give a shout-out to 2 of the maintenance team members (all are great but I wanted to give them kudos) - Pedro and Victor - they rock! They helped me fix my dryer that was not working properly and were quick and efficient with their process - and fun to talk to in the process :) They ended up swapping my malfunctioning dryer out for another and even changed a light bulb in one of my overhead lights that was out (without me even asking) before they left. They are 2 more of the reasons I enjoy living at Park Central! Now if this area was just less expensive to live, life would be even more grand....:) read more

I lived at Park Central for my senior year at Santa Clara University and it was wonderful. The apartment was great, neighbors were friendly, and the service was incredible. Kevin, the Neighborhood Director is incredibly kind and generous with his time and help as well as very friendly. Vanessa is very friendly and helpful as well. I knew if I ever had an issue or a question, I could go to them and they would bend over backwards to make sure I was taken care of. Park Central is nearby to the school but not too close that you get lots of rowdy students around late at night. The complex is full of lots of families and professionals as well as students so it's a good mix. The apartments are very well taken care of and if you do ever have an issue, maintenance is very fast and helpful, often providing same-day service even for non-critical fixes. If I wasn't moving away for work, I would absolutely have continued living here. read more

As a Santa Clara University student, I have visited a huge sample of the apartments/houses surrounding SCU campus, and Park Central blows them all out of the water in terms of quality of service and facilities. I have lived here for 3 years and have enjoyed every minute! The small gym is awesome for spur-of-the-moment workouts, and having a beautiful hot tub and pool area is such a luxury. The landscaping is super well taken care of and the (many varieties of) trees/plants add privacy while also looking peaceful and relaxing. The office is so incredibly helpful in dealing with packages, work orders, and answering any questions I might have. I love visiting Kevin for my (far too frequent) Amazon deliveries. He is such a delight and he always has news about cool events and activities going on in the Park Central community. I really appreciate his quick and thorough assistance whenever I need help, in addition to his cheerful attitude and friendliness. I love that Park Central is right next to the farmers' market! It's so easy to stop by and pick up some delicious hummus, indian food, or orange juice. I am very grateful that I discovered Park Central, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to join a great community located in a beautiful suburban oasis. read more

Great place to live! My wife, dogs, and I love it here. Kevin and the office staff are fantastic, actually remember you when you come in for a request or get a piece of mail, the maintenance staff is wonderful and prompt/considerate, the trees are lovely, and the aura of the whole complex is just relaxing. The location is fantastic as well; there are multiple restaurants, bars, and amenities close to these apts and the Saturday farmers market is great. Literally the only complaints is the size and equipment in the gym. There is enough to stay fit, but could be better. However!: I hear they are updating the gym soon. Bottom line: if you want an nice place to live, with a great staff, in a prime location: live here. read more

This is the 2nd Prometheus complex I've lived in and I love the way this company treats their neighbors. They are very attentive to our needs and plan events that bring the apartment community together. This complex has great amenities including a pool and hot tub, 24 hour gym, and clubhouse that you can rent complimentary for events. The apartment lay out of our 2 bedroom, 2 bath is also great. The rooms are a good size and they have plenty of closet space including a walk in closet in our master. I like that we have a parking garage under our apartments and that there's plenty of parking outside for a second car or guests. The location is ideal since we're close to shopping, restaurants, and bars; there's also a farmer's market nearby on Saturdays. read more

TL;DR: IF YOU ARE A SCU STUDENT, please consider DOMICILIO apartments as opposed to this complex. More bang for your buck and the management seem to value their tenets. Heard nothing but good things about it from my friends who live there. Full Review: I've been living here going on three years now. As an SCU student, the convenience and proximity to the University is a big plus. However, this complex is far from being perfect. As far as pros go, the premises is decently maintained and the pool and Jacuzzi are of decent quality WHEN they've actually been cleaned. Generally, the management allows both of these amenities to become fairly dirty before they take the initiative to clean them. Speaking of management, the property is and has never been managed well. Take the leasing process, for instance. Just to renew my lease, I've had to make multiple trips to the office with all sorts of different documentation because they always seem to forget to request a vital form or contractual agreement. The entire affair would be a lot easier if they would just explicitly state what they needed from you initially, or if they had the tact to just give you some form of checklist outlining what specifically was required. It would save time, reduce the number of office trips necessary, and seem more professional altogether. Given how many leases they sign/renew, you would think this would be fairly routine by now. I've also had a disagreement with the new manager of the property regarding a late fee because he went back on his word and then acted as if he had never made the agreement with me in the first place. He told me it was due to a "miscommunication" and if this was indeed the case, he definitely needs to improve how he conveys information and listens to the customer (as is evident with the leasing process). I was hoping he'd be an improvement over the old manager but it appears to be the same old, lousy business as always. As far as noise level goes, the property is meticulously maintained by a crew of gardeners who make it their duty to lessen your sleep quality by utilizing extremely loud leaf blowers in the early hours of the morning. While I appreciate that the management wants to maintain the aesthetic quality of the complex, they definitely go overboard at the cost of the community. Furthermore, at nights there's usually some homeless individual rustling through the dumpsters for who knows what. Definitely does not make the complex seem safe and it also brings up the problem of identity theft if these individuals do come upon documentation with personal details. Last year, the complex's mailboxes were burglarized THREE, yes THREE, separate times before management had the brains to install stronger lock boxes. Another instance of managerial incompetence. I won't even say much about the fitness room. It's small, cramped, and has only a few machines for cardio and lifting. Another hilarious feature of this amenity is that it only offers 1, not one set but one individual dumbbell, of each weight class. This effectively prohibits you from doing 80% of exercises that require an actual complete set of free weights. Again, management is either very incompetent or very apathetic. Maybe both. Finally, the room quality is not on par with the rent. The carpeting is cheap, the walls are thin, and the rooms do not allow for optimal airflow which results in them being very hot in the summer time (at least this was the case in my building). In the 2 bedroom units, the guest bedroom does not have an AC unit (for some inane reason) so there's no way to really alleviate this problem unless you want a giant fan blowing in your room 24/7. The rooms also do not have ceiling lights which gives the apartment an almost cave-like quality. Let me repeat myself, ridiculous for the pricetag. Despite my disagreements with the complex's management, the people in the office who take care of the day-to-day matters have generally been polite. The maintenance men are also top notch and attentive. IF YOU ARE A SCU STUDENT please consider looking at the DOMICILIO APARTMENTS, which is another apartment complex located near the university. The rent is on par with Park Central's but you get a lot more bang for your buck in terms of quality of living conditions and general competence of management. If I could go back in time, I would have definitely chosen that property over this one. I'm sure management will provide some sort of response stating that they're sorry and that they'll rectify a few of these problems. However, take it from someone who has actually lived here for three years... they will not take the extra steps to make this complex actually worthy of its EXORBITANT pricetag. Pretty much all of the problems mentioned in previous reviews have not even been addressed. These include... -No gate to keep the transients out of the trash -AM wake up calls courtesy of the gardeners -Large groups of people living in small units read more

I moved here with my boyfriend in January 2013 and signed another year-long least this past January. I really like living here; it's one of the better apartment complexes I've lived in, and I'd probably stay another year if it weren't for wanting to move out of Santa Clara altogether. There's a lot of good and a little bad to living here. I'm going to be as brutally honest as possible. The Good: --Beautiful property, lots of green, flowers, and wildlife. If you don't like crows, it may not be the place for you, but there are tons of crows all over the bay area. You see a lot of squirrels too. --Deluxe apartments that fall just shy of "luxury." They're pretty well constructed for the most part; the double-paned glass means I don't hear my neighbors at all if I shut the windows. They're attractive, fairly spacious, and painted neutral colors. --Absolutely top-notch customer service. They hang a little bag of candy on your doorknob before your birthday. For Valentine's Day we got little metal mailboxes filled with candy. At Halloween, they erected a big screen at the pool and had a party where they watched "Zombieland." We were given a free carpet cleaning as a thank-you for signing another year's lease. --Exceptional security. They contracted with Silicon Valley Security Patrol to keep the students from screaming their heads off for hours at three a.m., and to keep the dumpster divers from spreading trash everywhere. This afternoon I got a call stating there was a "distress call" from my apartment. I explained that the battery in the smoke alarm had started to die, so we took it out, intending to pick up a new battery this afternoon and replace it. They had maintenance come in, make sure everything was okay, and they replaced the battery for us. It definitely made me feel more secure in my apartment. --Great amenities. Our apartment has an in-unit washer and dryer that's rather small but works very well. Not every unit does, so there are on-site laundry facilities too. The pool and hot tub are salt water sanitized, not chlorine, so you can get in the pool without feeling gross afterward. The in-wall heating and A/C units work really well and are energy efficient. --The community is really nice. There's a farmer's market next door on Saturday mornings, and lots of cute little restaurants and businesses nearby. The nearby supermarket is kind of blah, though. The Bad: --Students. SCU students aren't that bad, but occasionally they get a little loud. Usually it doesn't last that long, but it does get a little loud in the spring/summer if you like sleeping with your windows open. They do what they can to curtail the noise. They're not any louder than your average shrieking little kids, but they're up later. --Smokers. This is a non-smoking property, and Park Central enforces it as much as possible. But you know smokers...I've had to put out carelessly discarded still-lit butts on the sidewalk from smokers and close off my bathroom when my neighbor decides to 420 erry day. Again, this isn't something Park Central can really help, since they can't exactly conduct smoking stings by busting into suspected offenders' apartments. --The gym is simply a small room with three machines in it. Probably not an issue since SCU students can just use the campus gym, but if you're a regular working adult, you're going to want to find an actual gym. --The cabinets in the kitchen are kind of poorly constructed. The first few weeks we were here, a cabinet door fell off its hinge, requiring a maintenance visit. Another shelf wasn't properly constructed, so we couldn't put anything on it without another maintenance visit. Now, one of the shelves is bowing under the weight of food in the cabinet, so we'll probably have to call maintenance again. --If you decide to go month-to-month, your rent goes up a LOT. For us it was about a $1000 per month increase. The Average: --Rent is kind of high for the amount of space we have, but no higher or lower than other apartments of the same quality. If you look at other major complexes near SCU, they charge much more and their construction is really cheap. --I won't know if they're fair on returning deposits until we move out, but my guess is they're standards across the board for this area. EDIT: THIRD mail break-in in less than a year. We haven't gotten mail in two weeks, and won't get it again for another month at least. Six weeks without mail. We can go get it at a post office 2 miles away (even though there is a post office literally across the street. And it's only open M-Sat 9-4. I recently viewed Park Central in a quest to find a cheaper but nice/safe place to live in Santa Clara. I booked a viewing online and went in the next day and met with Samantha Bettencourt. Samantha is great--professional and informative, but also friendly and personable. She showed me a 1-bedroom 700 sq ft unit and around the complex. PC actually has a pretty residential feel to it, which I liked a lot, and the apartments themselves are nice. Good construction, fairly up-to-date appliances, etc. The rent isn't cheap, but it's not crazy for the area. I'm happy living here. The maintenance team has gone above and beyond with my requests. They are super responsive and trustworthy. Mike Perez is the Maintenance Supervisor, and he's done a great job with the team. I thought since this community is close to the college it would/could be noisy, but it isn't at all. Space: spacious apartments, renovated. Service: service people are quick and fix things quickly. Proximity: good public transportation, Weekend farmers market steps away. Management: very rude. Rude in every manner. Stayed in lot of apartments but never experienced such a horrible management. Moving cost: management will suck each penny from tenants in the name of apartment painting - yes they charge for paints when you move out, cleaning, etc. read more

This is my third year here and as I renew my lease I thought I should spread the word. First, the land here is beautiful. There are many different trees including redwoods that I am glad they saved during construction. Every aspect of living here seems to be comfortable. Maintenance and management are super friendly, caring and respond quickly. Beyond the borders of Park Central, it seems that it is centrally located to so many key spots in Santa Clara County, including a farmers market just down the street on Saturdays. The leasing office staff are extremely attentive. They respond quickly to all inquiries. I must also add that they are very personable. If you need any help at all (even personal), they are there to listen and do what they can to put ease on your life or at the very least they make kind gestures and gifts as fit. I most enjoy the many events they host (yes, free food, beverages, and networking/conversations/games). I love the amenities, Nice gym with provided towels, sanitizing area, and built-in air, lighting, and music system. The pool and hot tub are amazing! There is also an outdoor entertaining space with a communal dining table as well as gas grills for your bbq needs. Some other very appreciative amenities are the bike storage areas (do not lock your bike to the gates, lock it inside the actual space) as well as an Amazon locker on the property. The property itself is very clean and all neighbors are respectable and kind. Extremely close to Santa Clara University and many surrounding restaurants, a beer taproom, and farmers market directly behind the complex every Saturday. The rooms are all really large like masters and the apartments are clean and updated. The complex is a smoke-free environment, major plus! Highly recommend Park Central Apartments. read more
