I was rear-ended hard in a car accident recently. The daily headaches & soreness kept me from so much. My only prior chiropractic experience, years ago, was a circus act, and a hard sell for more visits. Since my wife was impressed by Dr Kate, and my neck/shoulders are usually in pain, I gave it a shot. I believe that she really knows what she is doing. I saw immediate results. She didn't push me to schedule a bunch of follow-ups. Her advice re follow ups made sense. I'll stick with this, as well as her advice re what to do at home. Just flew in from Los Angeles with some right shoulder and neck pain. I have a wedding to go to and I really didn't want this discomfort to put a damper on my plans. Found this office and Dr.K is amazing. I'm an occupational therapist and I know quality assessment is key to the optimal treatment. He was very thorough and adjusted me appropriately. I hesitated writing a review for this place but the more I talk to friends about my experience, the more I felt like I needed to share... I went to Park Circle Chiropractic after experiencing some back pain and discomfort. I live in the neighborhood and saw all of the 5-star reviews, so I thought it would be a good place to go for my first-ever chiropractic adjustment. I made an appointment for 11am and arrived a few minutes before. I was offered a massage chair to wait in (which was the best part of my visit... amazing chair). While I was filling out paperwork (maybe took 5 mins), some weird Right-Wing YouTube news was playing on the TV.... Ok, odd choice. I ended up waiting for 30 mins while the Chiropractor saw other patients who just needed a quick adjustment, some of them arrived after me. I understand they are quick and my appointment would take a bit longer, but then don't schedule me for 11. I feel like the time management could have been better. While the chair was great, that's not what I'm paying $130 for. Also have to note that while I was waiting, the TV had stopped playing (thankfully), and the chiropractor walked by, noticed it had stopped, and said "oh you guys must want something to watch," and then played InfoWars. I was seriously thinking about getting up and turning off the TV at one point because it was so off-putting. While the waiting wasn't a great experience, I held out hope thinking my adjustment would be better. Sadly, I was disappointed. The Chiropractor took me into his office, explained his thoughts on a concept he came up with (doesn't sound like it has been backed up in the medical industry, but I could be mistaken), called Deflexology. There was no assessment or X-Rays taken. I expected him to at least look at or feel my spine, but no, none of that. He also made me uncomfortable by talking about my breasts and my body, saying I have a nice figure that I want to keep and that we want to fix my posture so my breasts don't sag later in life. He explained to me at the end that he talks about the physical body because that's where we see the change that happens here, but the thing is, that's not why I'm at the Chiropractor. I'm there because I'm in pain, and he never explained to me how what he was doing would address those issues, so I'm only left to assume that he didn't take any of it into account (I explained it all thoroughly in my paperwork), and that he just wanted to do an initial "pop everything and hope for the best". I saw nor felt no change to my body after my appointment, and ended up canceling my follow-up. This was my first experience with a chiropractor, so I wasn't sure how much out of the normal this was, but after talking to a friend who goes frequently and has a chiropractor in her immediate family, it's my understanding that the lack of assessment of my pain and the fact that no X-Rays were at least offered is not only bad practice, but it is negligible. So not only do I write this review because of how off-putting the Right-Wing TV and unsolicited advice about my body was, but also as a warning to others who may be looking for something more than a "good pop." read more

They listen to our problems and target their treatment to have us feeling a million times better when we walk out their door. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after my first session with Dr. Jay I was sold 110% !!! I was in a car wreck and suffered from vertigo for 2 years and on & off for a year. I also had bone spurs on my neck. I couldn't tilt my head back or the room would spin. I've been coming here regularly for approx 6 months and can tilt my head back until it reaches my shoulders with no problems at all. I'm moving to KC next week and if I could put Dr. Jay and Charity in a box and take them with me I would in a heart beat!!! Thank you so much for what you have done for me and my health! I highly recommend Dr. Jay and Charity, the massage therapist. The deflexology approach the doctor thoroughly explains works wonders. Along with treatments, they show you ways to take care of yourself between visits so you don't have to come in so often for adjustments. Even when I do have to wait to see the doctor, waiting in the massage chair is heavenly. I love that I can just walk in at my convenience and the prices are very affordable for self pay patients. However, first time patients should make an appointment and allow a little time for filling out paper work and a questionnaire about your ailments as well as talking to Dr. Jay about what's going on before he treats you for the first time. The over the top "friendly" receptionist is disingenuous and the therapist terribly "chatty". The office was unkempt, smelled bad and the bathroom dirty. The shower curtain had some smeared brown stuff. Eeww! The receptionist was running around appearing frazzled for no apparent reason. The doctor, however, seemed competent, but not what I would expect for a "health" service provider. read more
