We went to see Hairball on February 14, 2026. The show was amazing! We had never been before to Hartman or to see the band. The sound system was great. I felt very safe on the floor. Our only complaint were the $9 beers and no free tap-water, must purchase bottled water for $4. Forced me not to drink which is not a bad a thing. We were needing water since we were in the VIP section standing. We did not bring a purse or have any pockets. Thought we would be able to get free tap water. On March 6 I submitted a refund request as I felt I had been overcharged. After almost two weeks, I have yet to hear from anyone. On February 3rd, I purchased 3 All-session tickets to the NAIA Nationals held at Hartmann Arena through the arena's website. The total cost with all service fees and taxes was $386.31. My son-in-law purchased an additional ticket the morning of the Nationals and paid $65.76 total through the arena's website for the same All-Session ticket. When I got to the arena, there was a sign stating the all-session tickets were $53. I understand that purchasing a ticket through a website does have "convenience fees" but do not understand paying $63 more per ticket than someone buying a ticket the day of the event from the same arena website. Their security is also lacking. As you are walking from one side of the arena with a pretzel in hand where they have food to another you are stopped and asked "did you purchase that here?" Which is a pretty asinine question considering your bags are searched as you enter and you cannot bring food or beverage in. I also saw them stop and search a medic/trainer's bag when they clearly have a badge. read more

Perfect venue to see concerts. We had loge section 10 seating. Perfecto! You could see all the goings on. Had various eating spots. From hot dogs, hamburgers, bars to VIP club for Loge seats. VIP club had a small informal dinner meal for loge seat goers. Loge seating has hosts for your drinks, snacks or others from menu. You don't have to get up except to walkabout, use restroom or shop merchandise. No long lines for food. read more

We went to see Ron White tonight. We liked the seats at first, as there is more leg room than Intrust or Koch arena, but we had to leave early because I was getting a back ache and my husband's hip and knees were getting sore. We had no choice but to touch the people next to us. We had to either cross our arms or sit sideways to keep from elbowing people. We got up after the first hour and stood at the top to watch. I noticed people buying food and alcohol, then juggling it at their seat. It's bad enough with a drink, but I don't advise trying to eat food. It's just too tight of a fit to eat with your arms at your sides. I took my phone and license. You will be searched, so big bags aren't cool. We enjoyed the show as long as we could, but we just can't sit crammed into seats like that. read more

Terrible Sound System. We went to a For King and Country concert in April 2023. We had seat right next to the stage but we could not understand any of the words they were singing! The sound system was horrible!! We moved towards the back and the sound was better, so we stood up for the entire show. This really needs improved because thats the most important part of a concert. The auditorium and seating is nice, but we won't be going until the sound gets fixed. read more

Spent ~$95 on Koe Wetzel tickets, downloaded them to our "wallet" and did exactly what we were supposed to.... Only to find that we get to the door and find that we had to have the ticket master app downloaded but there is no service or Wi-Fi (worth a damn) at this arena so we were turned away and couldn't go to the concert. Hartman Arena is a worthless piece of shit of a venue. We will never be back. Can't give me free tickets to that POS. read more

went on May 19 to see little big town in concert. They are a top performer and put on a good show. However, the sound system pointed to where I was sitting in section 103 was horrible. You could make out 80% of the words that the group was singing because of th e reverberation and the incomplete set up of a good sound system. I would suggest Hartman Arena hire a professional who will come out and make it right. the two female acts before Little Big Town performed We're good, but we couldn't understand a word they were saying because of the poor sound system. I will let everybody else know that in a concert it might not be the place to go see a named act. Disappointed. read more

No complaints at all. Great circus acts. Spacious seats. Convenient food court and bathrooms! Most importantly my 5 great grandkids had a blast. Parking not an issue and easy access to arena. Prefer Hartman Arena to Intrust anytime! read more

Worst concert experience ever. Security is OUT OF CONTROL, and if you dare stand around and not in your seat, they immediately hone in and demand you go sit down. Warm beer, $8 for 20oz. Standard gross event food, dirty bathrooms, all the usual suspects. But the security ruins this, hands down. I've never - ever - seen a venue treat paying guests like they did here. Why did one of my favorite Kansas music venues hire a bunch of rude and obnoxious jagoffs as their in-house Security team & box office workers? I had a long drive to go see Kansas play in Kansas at Hartman Arena. I arrived a little in a huge downpour of rain, about 10 minutes after the show had started. I called the box office to reconfirm showtime and ticket availability on the way but they did not tell me that they closed the box office before 8PM when the show starts with no way to buy any tickets or to pickup any will-call tix or guest backstage passes from the box office. The ticket takers who watched & heard my predicament refused to assist me in any way or would not allow me to hang in the GA standing room area even knowing I was very willing to buy a ticket but I couldn't. Yay high-tech! I got on StubHub and instantly bought a $99 tix for $14 as the Guards watched what I just did. But they did not tell me they had already turned in their ticket scanning machine therefore they had no way to read the tix bar code I just bought. I have been promoting concerts for 40+ years and have never allowed a box office or ticket takers shut down until well into the show specifically to honor any late arrivals to accommodate them and to sell as many tix as possible. I generally let people in free for SRO if we have closed the box office figuring if they went through the trouble to show up for that band they deserved to see a few songs. I insisted to the Guards who watch me buy a tix to let me in. After the show I spotted an out off state old friend that I had not seen in a long time who had a back stage pass from the band who was being detained by Hartman's security goons. As I was calmly walking across the floor towards all of them they hollered at me to not come to them, not knowing who I was & Where I might be going or why? I said all I want to do was say hello to my friend who is there with you. They said no and told me to leave and I would just have to wait until the next time we ran into each other to say hi, which I found an unbelievable response. To avoid any further problems I started walking up the stairs when an other of their Security Guards jump in front of me and was walking backwards up the stairs with his arms out towards me which was really weird. I asked him if he was seriously going to use leverage to push me down all of these concert stairs if I were to become out of control. I was shocked when he said yes. I am an old passive hippie and totally sober and gave them absolutely no reason for Security to treat me like this. When I got to the top of the stairs I decided to use their restroom before my drive home. Then a different Security Guy this time with a flashlight billy club followed me in. We were the only 2 people in there and he pretended to look around so he could shooo any punters out of the place. I told him that the guys selling all of the Kansas band Merch & t-shirts were going to be pissed off for them chasing all of their fans and customers out of the building (that is going to stay open for awhile for the band to load out all their gear) immediately when the show was over. This was not a long loitering or groupies hangout waiting for the band deal. But it was a very rude and obnoxious way to treat their paying Guests at Hartman Arena and pretend(?) physical violence and none of what any of them said was based on common sense they were just throwing their power around just because they could. It will be sad if a jagoff Security crew destroys folks ever wanting to go to shows at Hartman in the future. read more

I just had one of these worst event experiences of my life. Keep in mind I have been to countless concerts and comedy shows in my life. I was attempting to go to the Nate Bargatze comedy show at this venue. First I waited on the side of the highway for an hour just to get near the venue. When we finally got in there was zero parking. I was directed to park in a "gravel lot" that turned out to be an overgrown field that was in no way appropriate for a sedan to drive on let alone park. We ended up leaving and were not able to attend the show. I don't understand why they didn't hire police to direct traffic and make things go more smoothly. I'm sure if they cared they could have done things to improve the experience but at this point that is moot. I will never attempt to go to any event at this venue again. It's not worth the hassle. My advice would be drive past this dump and go see a show elsewhere. read more

Great venue, not a bad seat in the house. We just saw the Heart concert, and were very pleasantly surprised at the way it's set up, and the ease of moving around. You can see the stage from the concession stands, which is a bonus. Plenty of staff, and clean.a Awesome acoustics too. Liked it much better than Intrust Bank Arena. read more

Arena is set up nicely for sports or small meetings, LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED FOR CONCERTS. This has to be the WORST sound system or sound board operator I HAVE EVERY HEARD. Some of the speakers have a loud BUZZZ coming out during concerts from 'feedback' meaning badly set up sound system. I had to leave early on a recent concert because the screech was all I could hear. The sound board operator does not know how to set levels - he just turns the voice audio ALL THE WAY UP when tops should be an '8' of 10. This completely muffles EVERYTHING the artist sings and renders is jibberish...The instrumental is set so wrong, really cannot hear anything except a YELLING SOUND out of the artists but cannot understand words. Please send your sound board mixer over to the Casino in Mulvane for more training. Their operator knows how to set it all up right and run it right...Could hear EVERY SINGLE WORD out of this sound system. Or, maybe Hartman Arena needs to upgrade sound system. KANSAS STAR CASINO IS MUCH BETTER CONCERT VENUE IN MY OPINION. YES, CROWDED BUT WORTH WHILE AS THE SOUND IS AWESOME! read more

If you can't be early don't buy tickets for Hartman. A friend and I bought tickets for Kansas and I ended up breaking a toe earlier in the evening so we were late arriving. All the doors were locked. There was no notice on either the website or the building stating there is no late entry. I've been to over 200+ concerts in my life and NEVER have I had one refuse entry because of tardiness. We managed to catch the door as someone was leaving and security refused entry even when we showed our tickets. They kept telling us that it was their supervisors decision to close the doors. I asked to see the supervisor and after waiting for a while she came out and took our tickets and let us in. How hard was that? Security kept telling us that we couldn't come in because the show had already started. This isn't a movie or a play I'm not going to miss any important plot points because I'm late. We spent more time dealing with rude security than the amount of time we were tardy. read more

I drove from San Antonio, Texas to see Chris Young, Dan + Shay and Cassadee Pope with my family. I loved all three performers very much, but was completely disappointed with the venue. Security was so unorganized and it took forever to get people through the the door. And even though 3/4 of the people were outside waiting to get in, the concert started right on time, so everyone missed most of the 1st act. It was a shame that the sound was off because the artists were all amazing singers. Way too much bass and drums. The singers were muffled and it was hard to understand what they were saying. To top it off, the ladies at the t-shirt booth were super rude. If I'm going to shell out $40 on a t-shirt, please don't roll your eyes at me when I change my mind on a size. I love you Chris, Dan, Shay and Cassadee, but if you ever come back to Kansas, please play somewhere other than the Hartman Arena. read more
