I asked questions about certain things and I got a lot of umms and oh's. she didn't really seem like she knew enough to make me feel comfortable with having hers as my Dentist. Then another lady came in and discussed pricing. By this time it was 10:45 and I hadn't even gotten my teeth cleaned yet. I had no idea it would take that long, so I rescheduled the cleaning. When I got there to have the cleaning done, the receptionist informed me that it would cost me extra money upfront for the laser treatment. He said it wasn't necessary but they recommended it. I said no thank you. Then he also said that will be another $35 upfront for the fluoride and once again I said no thank you. My instincts told me to leave because that's the second time I was made to feel like I didn't belong there. I canceled all upcoming appointments and made arrangements to go to another dentist. I was looking into my billing on my HealthPartners account. They're charging me $533 for the panoramic x-ray which I was never told that that was not included in what my insurance pays for. Why would they inform me that I would have to pay extra for laser treatment and the fluoride and they can't tell me that it's gonna cost an extra $533 to do the panoramic x-ray. My new Dentist is only charging 250 for the panoramic x-ray. I think it's wrong of them to handle it the way they did and I'm pretty sure I will be stuck paying that, but I don't think it's fair that I have to.

If a first timer they will need you to fill out information related to your insurance and health history so have a list of your meds, your glasses on, and phone number and name of your doctor. They wear masks.. you are not required. Nicole took all X-rays and then I was seen by hygienist who was thoughtful and thorough. If you have sensitive teeth she can put numbing jell on them. It was very effective. She then shared all details with doctor who comes in to share their evaluation of teeth with you. I did great no major issues. They scheduled my six month checkup follow up right there in exam room before I left. Hygienist recommended a fluoride paint over my sensitive area and exposed root areas for additional $40 which I did to be safe. A great experience. While seeing others they were really pushy at selling products and services. I generally do like going to the dentist so that adds an extra layer of anxiety. They did try to sell/recommend a few services but if I declined they moved on. Everyone I encountered was nice and professional. I had 2 appts within like 2 weeks and I chose the earliest time right at open 7am. Both appts went smoothly. The first one went a bit long as I was a new patient and had to have imaging and X-rays done. I like the monitors in the rooms that show the visuals as they explain things. Overall I like the setup of the rooms. Hopefully things continue to go well.

In the end, my issue was not solved and I lost time and money on this crappy little adventure in dentistry.
