Their assignment was to pull the motor, replace motor mounts and repair an oil leak. This was on an older 12v dodge which is about as simple as it gets and these guys can't seem to pull it off. They only performed half the work and Jeff is okay with it. He no longer mechanics much himself anymore but more importantly is hiring employees that are apparently not qualified to do much more than oil/filter changes! I was also told multiple time that they didn't care for working on much of anything unless it was a ford. I should've taken the hint the first few times I was told that! Here is a short list of the laziness (1. (Still can't believe this one!) NOTHING COVERING INTAKE AND TURBO! JUST WIDE OPEN!!!!!!!!! Did not re-install and tighten the bellhousing bolts (one tight), the starter (laying in the bed of the truck), fuel linkage, transfer case linkage, exhaust from turbo, bought new poly bushings for motor mounts, they didn't install them, just used the worn one AFTER BEING INFORMED OF PARTS MULTIPLE TIMES!! My standards aren't that high but when you can't make a call and say hey man, were here, you wanna replace this? You are NOT a decent mechanic! Period! Jeff and his crew will cost you more money in the end, just find a real mechanic shop with an owner that will stand behind his AND his hired-hands work without acting like he just woke up from a nap when you ask questions. This is supposedly a reputable company around here, but as you can see, halfassery can be found in some of the most unexpected places!

Most dealerships check the fluids and filters when they do an oil change as part of a "basic" inspection. It's hard to recommend a dealership that was dishonest about a car they sold. I also take blame in this for being so trustworthy and not having the car checked out by an independent person or place. I have learned a valuable lesson in the end. I have not even had the vehicle 6 months and it needs over $2000 worth of work done. I live on $1000 a month and by the time I get the money to pay for it to be done it will probably cost me more money to fix whatever goes wrong in that time frame. I will not purchase another vehicle new or used from Brown ever again. If you decide to purchase a used vehicle from Brown Automotive please take it and have a mechanic look it over before you buy it. I have included photos of the cabin air filter that was pulled out of my vehicle in front of me. It wasn't just bad as you can see in the photo it had a piece of paper covering over half of it blocking the air flow. It has been a terrible experience for me and has caused me extreme anxiety. So sad that I traded a car that was in great condition with low mileage that probably made them a great deal of money. If I could I would give them 0 stars.

The Price of doing business with Blaze's!…read more I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Blaze's Automotive, and I feel compelled to share my negative encounter with others. In February, I entrusted them with repairing a problem that had been caused by Take 5 oil change. Unfortunately, my interaction with Blaze's Automotive quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal. Upon inspection of my truck, Blaze's Automotive informed me that additional repairs were needed, including the replacement of both valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, coil packs, and fixing a broken off dip stick. The estimated cost for these repairs amounted to a staggering $2,232.18, as indicated in the attached invoice. It's worth mentioning that Take 5 was also responsible for a portion of the repairs. However, my dissatisfaction truly escalated after I relocated to Colorado Springs, a mere 15 days later. Suddenly, my truck started leaking oil, causing significant concern and inconvenience. Naturally, I contacted Blaze's Automotive to address the issue, hoping for a resolution. I spoke with Caroline, a representative of the company, who instructed me to schedule an appointment and bring the truck back to their facility. However, I explained to Caroline that I had already moved and returning to Amarillo was not feasible for me. Despite my predicament, she callously dismissed my concerns, informing me that there was nothing they could do to assist me. Understandably, I requested to speak directly with Blaze, the owner, as I believed that he would take responsibility for the situation and provide a more satisfactory solution. To my astonishment, Caroline, rather than empathizing with my situation, stubbornly insisted that Blaze would only offer me the same unsatisfactory response. This response demonstrated a complete lack of concern for my predicament and a clear unwillingness to rectify the situation. I thought in the process of repairing the valve cover gasket, the mechanic twisted or somehow pinched the drivers side, this was the side with the leak. However, when a friend and myself pulled the cover off, I was horrified to learn that they had cracked the valve cover and made attempts to repair it unbeknownst to me. They never mentioned this mistake, only attempted to cover it up. The overall experience I had with Blaze's Automotive was highly disappointing and frustrating. Not only did they fail to fix the issue properly the first time, but their subsequent lack of accountability, poor customer service and lack of business ethics left me stranded with a leaking truck, unable to get this corrected until I was able to do it myself. If you're looking for a reputable mechanic shop, I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider entrusting their vehicles to Blaze's Automotive. Their inability to take responsibility for their mistakes and their dismissive attitude towards customer concerns make it clear that they prioritize their own convenience over the well-being and satisfaction of their customers.

If you want a crappy job that requires numerous return visits to get things repaired properly, this is your place. First, I was told my vehicle would be ready in 3 days & that someone would give me a ride to pick it up. Not when you talk to Dylan - every excuse in the book as to why it's taking another week & that NO one is available to give me a ride now. By the way, don't question Dylan - he's arrogant, derogatory, dismissive, & must not want repeat business because he treats the customer with a condescending, demeaning tone. His body language is very aggressive, to the point it's like he wants to physically fight; thank you, TX, for concealed carry. I have an AWD vehicle, and this place charged me $424 for an alignment. I called 17 different locations, and absolutely none of them said that any type of alignment would be that expensive. I was completely ripped off as Hunter refused to tell me where the alignment was performed. I looked at my vehicle before going in to pay & could immediately see a shoddy job had been done. I have bad eyesight & I immediately saw that the repairs they made were not good - "didn't know you wanted that" was Dylan's response. I could see the poor repairs in the metal, which was then painted over. I love wavy & rippled paint jobs - NOT! Dylan then had five other guys look at the repairs, claiming they couldn't see anything. For the large sum I paid, it's only fair that it be done correctly and timely. Don't tell me 3 days and give me crap that I now have to make you fix, which is going to take more time.
