It has taken me 2-1/2 years to be able to objectively write this review. Dr. Parrot and IBH failed…read moremy grandson. He had ADHD and was struggling with several issues, but in early March 2022, he began having insomnia. I called IBH and tried to get him an appointment earlier than his scheduled one on 3/29/24. I begged for even a phone/tele-health consult--not more drugs at that time. I was dismissed. I was overreacting. Well, March 22, 2024, my 15 year old grandson took his life. While not solely any one person's fault--I believe with every fiber of my being that Dr. Parrot was negligent, dismissive and contributed to my grandson's problems. 12 years in Florida before Hurricane Michael, and his condition was managed. 3 years in Alabama--and he's gone.

I was told by the young lady in Spanish Fort, who made my appointment that the intake phone call is 30 minutes but there is no charge for that only for the following office visit. Well, that was a bold face lie. Their billing company was sending me a bill for $70 dollars. When I asked what the bill was for, they told me service. I told them I paid at their office, and I was told the Intake call was no charge. I had to take time to go back to the office on the East side of Montgomery, I am downtown, and special with the girl at the window who was acting as if she did not understand my concern until I told her I would call Optimum and get proof that I paid the for the office visit. The I gave the date and time of my phone call and where the young lady said she was located. The Office Manager Nicole sent a message to me by the girl at the desk that she would list to the recording and get back to me. I said great, and I made sure they had the date and the estimated time of the conversation. I has been over a month, and I have not heard anything! Went to the office on my lunch break today around 12:10 and another client and I was knocking on a locked door. No sign at all saying they were out to lunch. I call at 3pm and I was sent to Nicoles line and of course I got her voicemail. And I am also getting nasty emails from their billing department. Find some other place for your mental health concerns. This place will make them even worst.

My dissatisfaction with the office…read moreis due to a staff member who abruptly ended the phone conversation when my family member had difficulty effectively communicating his preference for a male psychiatrist versus a male or female counselor. I'm sure there are good people in the office with a desire to help people who have mental health needs but because of this initial exchange we were not able to get that far
