We had well visits scheduled for our two youngest kids and called to get a sick visit for mom right after. So appointments at 3:45, 4:15 and 4:30. My wife arrived at 3:48, stood in line to register for a few minutes and then was greeted by a receptionist who told her she was late and was going to have to forfeit one of the kids appointments. This receptionist than pushed past our family to get to the nurse to tell her to only look at one child and stood in the hallway whispering about my wife (within earshot) to another nurse. My wife, who was not feeling well and was there for an appointment, began to get upset so the doctor came over. When my wife explained to the doctor that she was only a few minutes late and that she stood behind a man at the desk for a while the receptionist came over to say that she was lying! A doctors office receptionist calls a patient a liar about standing behind someone at the desk. Funny thing is, my wife knows the guys name, where he had his blood drawn, what they were testing for and when he was supposed to get his results. If she was lying about standing behind this guy, how the heck is she going to know all that. We will never go this rotten office again!

Everything about my procedure at the Endoscopic Ambulatory was handled professionally and…read moreattentively. Hygiene was assiduously practiced as well. Last Monday I was asked to come in for a COVID-19 nasal swab. My procedure was today, Friday. Yesterday they called and confirmed that my COVID-19 test was negative. Everyone in the facility wears a mask and all patients are required to do so as well. I was brought to a room in which I was weighed and an IV was inserted in my left hand for the Propofol (aka milk of amnesia) that I would receive for the procedure. I then changed into the hospital gown and placed my clothing, cell phone and wallet in a plastic bag. Next stop was the actual sterile room for the procedure. My plastic bag was placed under the gurney I used. Again everything was efficient and professional. Doctor and nurses were friendly and competent. After the procedure, very little of which I can remember, I was wheeled into an adjacent recovery area with vitals being closely monitored by a nurse and the doctor briefly discussing the results. After about 20 minutes or so I was stable enough to stand up and get dressed. Here is where a small disharmony occurred: I had been told ahead of time that it was required to have someone pick me up. After saying I would catch an Uber, I was informed that that was not allowed. Rather than risk them canceling my procedure, I agreed to be picked up. They asked me for a name and number, which I provided. When leaving they wanted to get a signature from the person picking me up, and of course I had already ordered my Uber. They were not pleased, with the head nurse threatening that I would never be allowed back. I left, and then they called the number I had provided and berated the person who was supposed to have "picked me up." I am still giving 5 stars, however, since this unpleasantry does not diminish the professionalism and competency I experienced at the Endoscopic Ambulatory Specialty. Even though I will never be allowed back, I can fully recommend them - just don't tell them ahead of time you plan to take an Uber, and have a strong Brooklyn attitude if you get attitude at the end!

The worst pediatrician office, the nurses staff is the rude, condescending, cruel to babies and…read moreshould not work at pediatrician office. they treat certain patients differently based on how you look and this is disgusting when dealing with kids. i bring my daughter there to get her vacine , and my daughter 1 year old doesnt like the covid masks the nurses wear. one nurse is nice and always removes the mask so my daughter doesnt cry. we go for another vaccine and i ask a different nurse to remove the mask. she gets a huge attitude with me, refuses and says its policy to wear mask, she is nasty and trashy about it. this is a lie, because doctor doesnt even wear mask. i asked for the other nurse we normally have, a simple fix and the other nurse said no problem. the other nurse who refused to remove mask told the manager and manager became aggressive and said it is policy they all must wear masks. again, this is a lie because doctor doesnt wear. also, if i say my baby is scared, she still is okay with the mask?? she is cruel for this and should not work there. they are okay with babies being scared and possible trauma. afterwards, they allowed the situation to escalate to screaming cursing and aggressive in front of other families. complete trash staff do not go here.

"What are your symptoms". I understand thoroughness but you're not my doctor and I don't want to tell a rude lady on the phone my personal problems. Furthermore, On a recent visit, I waited 35+ minutes in a waiting room (which was by no means packed) only to see the staff, turn on the answering service and eat lunch, that a Pharma rep had brought them, in front of all of us; ignoring patients, on both the phone and in the waiting room. They were also talking loudly about "what a pain" this one can be, etc. I was embarrassed for them. However, my experience with Dr. Schaefer was not good. I had my annual check-up and the doctor did a few unnecessary tests that were not covered by my insurance. I was healthy and have no heart condition in my family, yet they did an EKG test. After the check-up, the doctor never followed up. I had to reach out and ask him about my results. The staff here pushed pretty hard for "sales". When I first came here for something else, the receptionist pushed hard for asking me to schedule my annual physical, and so I did. Will not come back.

They do not return calls, and when someone finally did, both of his follow‑up appointments were pushed back. I repeatedly explained that stopping these medications abruptly is unsafe and not medically advised, yet no one treated the situation with any urgency. Their lack of communication puts patients at real risk. If anything happens to my son because they failed to provide timely care, I will be seeking legal action. No family should have to fight this hard for basic, essential medical follow‑through. Avoid this place. Their negligence is not just unprofessional -- it's dangerous.
