Bottom line: Park West Village is a great shopping complex offering a wide variety of shops, stores, dining opportunities, residential areas, and a movie theater. Big retailers and smaller businesses as well as many services can be found here. Plenty of parking. The Morrisville Smart Shuttle stops here if not driving. Pretty large in size but not too big to explore. The Deets: Park West Village has been around for a few years here in Morrisville and is a vast sprawling complex, located in the area between Morrisville Parkway and Cary Parkway along Chapel Hill Rd. Within its many roundabout traffic circle-accessible areas and multiple buildings, one can find many good restaurants & eateries, large retailers (Target, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Bath & Body Works, Trader Joe's, multiple others), banking institutions, electronic/gaming shops, craft shops, phone stores, health & beauty stops, home furnishing stores, and other places to shop. It also has residential as well as retail spaces, even a movie theater. If it would be any bigger it would be a challenge to walk around but I think it just hit the sweet spot between having multiple good shopping/services that's walkable and being too big to get around. The Morrisville Smart Shuttle (town provided free transportation service) even has stops there if you don't feel like battling traffic or parking, but they do provide plenty of parking if you do drive. Park West Village is an ENORMOUS go-to destination for shopping, dining, and services in Morrisville, NC!!! It is a huge shopping AND residential area. Park West Village features a unique mix of national retailers, contemporary brands, and distinctive shops and dining. It literally has everything for you, whether you live there or not - all kinds of apparel, crafts, eateries, education, electronics, fitness, general merchandise, health and beauty, home furnishings, pet supplies, services, shoes, specialty, sporting goods stores, etc. I want to walk into every store! For example Piada Italian Street Food is one restaurant that caught my eye tonight - if I hadn't already eaten dinner I would have liked to try one of their unique piadas that they hand-roll in front of you, or one of their salad or pasta bowls. As a shopping area, Park West Village is a lively, great place to hang out, take a stroll, and/or socialize with family and friends or visit on your own! The plaza looks shiny new and modern and is very clean and well-maintained. As a residential area, each of its THREE different neighborhoods is also loaded with the nicest amenities. They have, for example, swimming pools and brand new playgrounds! They all look so modern shiny and new and enjoyable to live in. Park West Village really is a lifestyle! In addition, Park West Village hosts events every day - they often have live music and good food at Open Mic Nights or at Acoustic Nights on Fridays - it can get very lively there! They also have an upcoming fall festival as well as Winter Wonderland. Really nice shopping center. You can park and grab a steak, a taco some Greek food or pizza. They also have a nice movie theater out here. So many shops here. They are very busy. Go to the oyster bar here great place. They have a Firebirds's also. Come out and get some cakes and watch a concert. read more

I prefer to Park East, so. PWV, not as sexy as PVC, is a fancy Shopping Center in Morrisville just outside Cary in the Raleigh Durham Chapel Hill Triangle area - most things here are fancy, and it is a little pricey and parking can be a little tricky. But overall it is clean and easy to access and pretty nice. It loses a couple of points for having too many typical chains and for the parking and for how homogenized and stereotypical it is. read more

The Park West Village in Morrisville, NC has been in development for some time and the developers have been working in phases; right now most of the retail is already in place, albeit there are some stores to open and some vacant spots. When complete, the project will be a 100-acre mixed-use community that will be mixed with residential, office, and retail creating a self-contained live-work environment. The Park West will have its own faux town-center, with big box retailers (Target, TJ Maxx, Buy Buy Baby), chain restaurants as well as independent eating establishments, and a movie theater. In a sense, the developers are selling the idea of not having to really drive, but in reality these suburban developments encourage more sprawl than walk-ability. The mixed use development was a fresh idea in the early 2000s, but now it feels dated and with resurgences of downtowns in the last two decades it would be more conducive to retrofit areas close to the central business districts rather than increases sprawl. This shopping center is still nice and offers the conveniences (for those who live nearby) of having a vast array of businesses in one area and of parking your car in front of the store or nearby. For being a cookie-cutter development, this gets three stars. read more

Great spot to hang out in Morrisville for an evening of nice dining or a movie or shopping. A combination of casual dining to pricier restaurants, lots of patio dining, dessert places. Parking can be tricky especially during lunch and dinner hours. Newer stores like Target, Gander, and TJ Maxx are great shopping experiences. The theatre is adequate but outdated with brand new cinebistros close by. Leather chairs were comfy and they rock a little. Overall, a great shopping area and a variety of stores and restaurants. Driving through all the circles can be a little confusing. read more

Park west 14 is frustrating. They have large format PDX screens but they do not show movies like Iron Man 3 and I was just told that they would not be getting World War Z. Despite being a very nice theater which offers the 3d screen experience they seem to show B rate movies and only occasionally with they show a blockbuster. It seems like a waste of the large screen format, 3D theater and digital sound if all I can see is some B rate flick. read more

The new Park West Village development is a great addition to the Morrisville/Cary area! It's in a convenient location in that it's in an area where there was previously not a lot of major retail stores or nice, family-friendly casual dining restaurants. Plus the corner of Cary Parkway & NC-54/Chapel Hill Rd. is a fairly busy intersection that I used to avoid for various reasons, like there wasn't much over that way I needed and the road was too narrow and bottle-necked - well those problems are totally gone now! The road has been expanded wonderfully and the Park West Village shopping center has several shops & restaurants I hit on a regular basis now that I used to have to go far out of my way to go to at their other locations. One of my favorites is Chipotle! The only other one near us is way over on Kildaire Farm Rd., so this new location is so much closer and we love it! We can grab burritos and then let the kids get some frozen yogurt at YoLo and everyone's happy! And our whole family really likes the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant because of all the giant TVs all over the place with all the different games on. We're from out of town and we're big football fans, so it's nice to take the kids somewhere during football season where it doesn't matter if they're a bit loud or rowdy and where not every TV has to be on the Carolina game. ( = Walking around Park West Village, especially when it's a nice evening, is a great way to spend the last couple hours before bedtime to tire out the kids and fill them up on food and grab whatever we need at Target, then make the short drive home. Park West has been a lifesaver to me and my family. Not only can I head over there to get some shopping done (whether its groceries, shoes, clothes, dog food, etc.) ... We can just leave our car where it is and walk, YES WALK ... as in exercise ... on our way to and from dinner! It's wonderful and we are even more thrilled to learn that there's a brand new theater coming in early 2013! This place is just what Morrisville needed since it is lacking a so-called "downtown" area to shop in. We will continue shopping and eating here and enjoying all the great retailers and stores the next phase or whatever brings in. Also, just so you know ... our favorite places to eat in there are all in a row!!!! Penn Station, Ruckus, Zoe's, Travinia and then on to YoLo for dessert! Cannot beat the selection! read more

Park West has been a great addition to the Morrisville/Cary area. It is almost too conveinent to have so many shops/restaurants close by...we are spending lots of money and have an even better social life because of it. We have enjoyed exploring some new restaurants in addition to a fun night life. We look forward to seeing what else they have in store and can't wait for the movie theatre to open.
