If you are more of a shopper than this place is for you. If you are a foodie, don't bother coming here. This is a cool mall with a lot of cool shops. Some of these shops are ones that you can only find in the 604. Seems to be more of a place where Asian Ma and Pa stores thrive without drama from the rest of the city. There are a lot of herb stores as well as fashion boutiques as well. Every time I step foot in this mall I feel like I am in Hong Kong. I am really feelings the 604 love here. I would come here again if I could. Drawback: If you are looking for good food, please go somewhere else because their food court is limited. Good news is these are foods that you don't see in US Asian shopping centers. The size of this mall is the same as Mustafa Center in Singapore. If you want bigger go somewhere else. read more

There are so many malls in Richmond! If there's one Mall with 3 must go to places this is it! I hadn't been to this mall in decades until some out of town friends knew about some awesome stores here. The first stop was to Pine House Bread & Cake shop where they ordered 12 lbs of the 'little chicken cookies'. Not to my liking as there's a bit of a salty taste in it. The second stop was the Parker Place Meat & BBQ (just look for the long lineup) for their famous crispy skin pork. I'm not into fatty foods much but this place had me drooling! The third place was Rainbow where they sold bubble teas and bubble waffles. I had the mango bubble tea which was made with frozen mango chunks (not the mango juice). The mini waffles were cooked to perfection. I think it's the waffle maker that makes it extra special. The newest shop in the mall was A Whole Mango where the drinks are only mango. I was too full to order anything but my friends bought the roasted chestnuts. They couldn't stop eating it. It's off #3 Road and is worth the visit. read more

This is a nice mall with many small businesses. There are some herbal shops that sells all kinds of natural herbs and items, even hard to find herbs that are not available in the US. There are plenty of parking on the second floor if the first floor is full. There is a food court in the center with a variety of food stalls. If you need Chinese herbs and medicine, give this place a try. read more

Parker Place use to be better. The mall got so dirty. Also lots of stores have closed down especially the part sectioned off in the corner where its hidden (hard to describe where). Most stores here don't interest me at all. They sell Asian cloths for petite size Asian. Also clothing very Asian style. The most popular store here is the BBQ place (which I like). Parking is easy to find now due to popularity going down hill. The most popular section of the mall is the food court. Mostly just the usually Chinese food. Bubble waffle, wonton noodle and etc. Not a big fan here. I used to like eating here at one point. Finding a seat here is not easy. Especially the stage in the middle of the food court has taken so much seating space. The stage is removable. But the question is are they going to remove it any time soon. Honestly I only come here to buy cheap dvds, they have 2 shops in the mall that sell cheap asian dvds. One of the first Chinese malls in Richmond. Second to Aberdeen (the old one), of course. Parking here is pretty decent, with plenty of spaces. Unfortunately, many people here have a tendency to camp in front of the entrance, creating a giant traffic jam. For this reason, I usually go straight for the rooftop parking. The inside is pretty beaten beaten up, as the mall does show its age. The place can use a renovation. Not sure why they do this, but the interior corridors are pretty narrow. Reminds me of the alleys you'd find in many parts of Asia. In some places the hallway widths are barely 3 people wide. The best part of the mall though is the food court. Most places are pretty decent. I've eaten here several times before and while the food isn't life-changing good, you can't go wrong when you spend $5 or less. read more

This long time Asian plaza has a lot of food options. A lot of parking but can still be packed at peak times like lunch and dinner. You can find a lot of hk style snacks here like bubble waffle, curry fish balls, fried rice, fried noodle etc. I often come here to order curry food from curry kitchen, my hubby likes the bBq duck with rice next door. I went to Parker Place back when it first opened back in 1993 and have been there maybe 3 more times since then. Until a week ago it had been over 20 years since I stepped foot in there and boy, has it changed! Sad and depressing were the first words to come to mind. Run down, half the malls store space is up for lease, definitely not as vibrant and alive as I remember it to be. Maybe it's because Aberdeen Center has taken most of the business away but even that place, although busier than Parker Place, is something of a ghost town too. I hope things do improve and Parker Place, as well as the other chinese malls in the lower mainland, find that spark again and come to life. Guildford, Metrotown, Pacific Center downtown, they're all boring, selling the same old crap. Our asian malls are interesting and fun to browse through for gwai-lo and gaijin like myself and should be supported more. It would truly be a shame to have them close down due to lack of interest and business read more

This shopping center is very old and ancient feeling. It's not as nice as Aberdeen Center but it has the best Chinese BBQ that I've ever had in my life. There are lots food choices in the food court but what they have there wasn't my cup of tea. I also like how they have 2 Chinese movie shops for basically $5 CAD a movie! read more

Parker Place used to be the hopping, happening go-to mall, and even though I still drop by, it's only a sliver of its former self. Before there was the glorious, fancy and new Aberdeen, there was Parker Place. It had the bigger food court and every food stall was always occupied. Today, the food stalls are still occupied, but the customers are far fewer. It's sort of good and it's much easier to get a table, but it can't be good for the businesses. Speaking of which, other than the food court that is still reasonably well populated, many of the businesses along the corridors have shut down. A few lingering clothing, grocery, Chinese medicine, and tchotchke shops remain as well as several restaurants. Sadly, one or two of the narrow aisles are virtually completely closed. Even the bank is closed! The entire mall feels run down too. Speaking to one of the shop owners who was having an everything must go sale, he said the lease is ending and who knows how much the rent will go up. Barely making enough as is. Kinda sad. I still am going for nostalgic reasons and frankly, the food is cheaper than Aberdeen food court. But it is falling behind. read more

What a renovation! I still remember when Parker Place was split up (Parts I and II) and was supremely Honger. It's still very Honger but has a modern, renovated theme that now puts it in the higher echelon of Asian malls. It's not the Aberdeen Center, but then again nothing else is. Chinese folks would be inclined to call it by its romanticized Chinese name "Baak Ga Dim" or "Bai Jia Dian." If literally spoken outloud that means "Parker Place." I bet this will come in handy for the non-Chinese speaking when referring to this place to the non-English speaking (which is plenty in all of Vancouver/Richmond). I won't lie, I like this newer Parker Place look. Granted its been this way for almost 4 years but it is just such a vast improvement over what it used to be. Parking is better, the store layout is not as confusing, and with all of the new updates the mall is actually cleaner. I can vouch for the decent food court (though I would prefer Yaohan's), the very exclusive Hong Kong boutique fashion spaces, and the plethora of cheesy car accessories, bridal shops, herbal centers, and book stores. Bak Ga Dim can shake the ghetto Honger mall image and blend in with the rest of beautiful Richmond. read more

Parker Place used to be the hipper Asian mall in comparison to Aberdeen, however now that Aberdeen has been renovated it's taken the backseat in terms of grabbing attention. However don't write it off completely, it still houses some delicious treats in the food court within as well as most of all the original tenants and shops. read more

You seen one Chinese mall, you seen most of them. Parker is no different from most of the Chinese malls around Richmond. It's like a small First Markham Place - for those in the GTA. The place was dead when I checked in. The hallways were empty at the shops and only the food court and restaurants had any traffic. The stores are repetitive at every turn. You know, fabrics, cellphone knick-knacks, herbs, off the path clothing, luggage...and now repeat...and repeat... The food court wasn't anything special and the restaurants were OK at best. In some ways, a cozier mall than Aberdeen; pretty well has everything you need to do some shopping without the hassle. Even the parking upstairs is probably the best tip I can give you instead of fighting for the ground levels. It's got a decent dim sum restaurant, good food court with a bakery, HSBC, fresh seafood & BBQ and small mom & pop retail shops. and the cheapest passport pics in town, on the ground level ;) read more

More Cafe has one of the better fruity bubble drinks. They use all fresh fruits and then adds couple ice cubes. Most bubble places adds a lot of ice to the blend and sugar to sweeten. read more

I enjoy this mall alot. The food court is not as fancy as Aberdeen, and it's more on par with Crystal Mall, but it has better parking and you don't get dizzy going around in circles. It doesn't look like much yeah, but inside there are some cute little shops that have the latest fashions from Japan (or so they say, but not really.) and from Hong Kong. The food court is what I like. There's a vegetarian place there, a great Taiwanese noodle place at the entrance of the malls food court and there's a couple of those car gadget stores where you can buy air fresheners and Hello Kitty car accessories. And, like me, if you don't speak Chinese, no problem. Most of the retailers now speak English. That's the coolest thing for me. I don't feel left out of the loop cause I can't speak the language. Again, here, if you plan to shop for clothes, they're on the smaller slimmer side of the scale. Have fun! read more

I ventured inside this mall to try the famed BBQ deli. I also checked out the bakery in the food court, and walked around a bit. The mall is arranged in a very weird way with bizarre twists and turns. It's small but relatively easy to get disoriented and lost. Besides the food court, it seems like most shops don't have much customers, and a few shops look like they're out of business. There's a Hello Kitty shop that sells all things Hello Kitty. Several female clothing shops. Why don't they sell clothes for guys?!? Argh, guys need cheap clothing too, yo. There's a couple DVD shops, chinese bookstore, and some electronics stores. The store selling closed circuit tv's and security systems seems to be doing well. Paranoid Richmond residents? The food in food court seems promising and cheap. The bakery had delicious chinese baked goods. I will try the other stalls here in the future. read more

We were basically the only non-Chinese in this place. I think I saw a white couple walking around looking just as lost as we did I guess. Only in Richmond would you see a whole mall where you don't recognize anything at all. The food court was . . .all authentic Chinese food. Maybe good? Maybe not? It's so weird to have a butcher shop next to the food court. Ah. . .maybe I'm too Americanized. . There's two dvd shops here which sell Chinese, Korean and Japanese movies and TV shows. Pretty cool mall with a lot of small fashion shops, Car and accessory shops (does anyone else smell moth balls?) herbal shops, a lot of hard-to-find items u don't normally see from other malls and or shops.. The food court is not bad as well Taiwanese, Japanese, Noodles, BBQ dishes, with a sorry excuse for a fountain in the middle that really smells seriously! change the water but oh well. And i know there a lot of comparisons between parker place and Aberdeen mall, but common seriously, Aberdeen is the big Momma of all the Asian malls in Richmond, real talk! ;) Overall not a bad mall. still looks unorganized and sure the parking can get a little crazy (not gonna say it).... but by all means give this place a try. :) Oh and can someone please tell me why there's a golden statue in the middle of the parking lot?? read more

Good place to come for little trinkets or souvenirs to bring back to loved ones and friends. I bargained and got some good deals. Parker Place has aged over the years, but still somewhat decent to walk around if you are really bored. Parking is a pain, so park in the garage if you can. read more

3.5 stars. It is not a bad place but definitely not as nice and clean as Yaohan or Aberdeen. However, we still come here for their food court for some serious cheap eats. One place has crazy breakfast special for like $2-3 that includes a HK milk tea and a bowl of soup noodle or congee, it's insane but we love it. I just love looking and smelling all the wonderful aroma...picking what to eat is always a challenge...so little stomach space but so many choices and food we want to eat. Hubby loves coming here, actually he loves going any of the malls with these tasty treats. He now understands what I mean when I talk about all the tasty treats growing up in HK...at least some/most. He really enjoys the soup macaroni with spam and an overeasy egg on top...*drool*. read more

One of the better Asian malls in Richmond. Lots of small boutiques, DVD shops, magazine shops, and the food court. I like the food court here. There's a good variety of eats at very reasonable prices. The shop at the end of the food court makes the best eggette waffles. Ma Mei Hong Sing Beef has some excellent pork jerky -- but unfortunately cannot compare to Bee Cheung Hiang in S'pore, HK, Malaysia. Parker Fresh Meat has some really excellent roast pork. And Pearl Castle has some pretty decent boba. read more

Today I bought a quarter chicken from the Tak Fook congee and noodle 德福 at Parker Place food court, it costs 8.00 for the quarter chicken, anyways they charge 10.00 for half chicken, it is not reasonable of the price, and also the staffs' attitude of the store are very bad, I won't recommend to other. I have over ten years experience of writing the evaluations of the restaurants, I will say the food and services rating are 2 out of 10. :( read more

Must try the french toast @ Yummy Yummy in the food court. My absolute favourite french toast ever! I go here when I need to pick up my TVB dramas at the DP Video Store or to kill time when I have no where else to go. There are only a few stores I go to in this mall: DP Video, Sanrio Shop and the music shop in Parker Place 2 near the side entrance on the north. Other than that, there really isn't much to see in the mall. The clothes store look rather all the same except scattered all over the place filling up the mall. Those who go to HK often won't bother walking into those stores because its much cheaper in HK. They overprice everything and its not worth buying anyways. read more

There are lots of small shops and sweets that clutter the inside of this older mall. There aren't any crowds as they seemed to have flocked to Aberdeen instead. Parking is plentiful, and the food courts is like Hong Kong still. I had my first coffee jelly with red bean today. Pretty sweet for $2.50, and it's handmade too. It's like a cleaner Asian mall than California, so I can't complain when I'm browsing through this place. read more

One of the Hong Kong malls along the Richmond #3rd area. This place has seem to be dropping in quality every year. It seems to start dying slowly, in stores. But the food court is always packed with great cheap food. I hope this place does not turn out to be a Richmond Public Market please.... The mall is 80% filled with Hong Kong clothes stores. That sells them at such an expensive price... Who still shops here anyways for clothes when most of the people go to HK nowadays? I would only come here to get my TVB dramas, and maybe food now. I don't find a reason to be at Parker Place anymore except for these two things. Maybe I might find a reason to come here more if there were different types of stores opening here, or if I would come here to get prescription glasses. read more

Typical Chinese mall busy busy busy but nothing all that good the only thing I like is the fresh dumplings in the food court and they also have baked noodles but the seating is terrible it's always busy too crowded and you might end up sharing. Very Comfortable bakery is just OK more parking upstairs I've bought a bathrobe and a rice cooker here that I couldn't find anywhere else wasted 125 buying bras here that were uncomfortable though. I use to come here a lot, more than the old Aberdeen (when it was pint sized), compared to the monster of a mall it has become now and now making Parker look pint sized. Parker is definitely showing it's age, if anyone were to pull a picture of the place before, it is the same, different stores, yes, same color, layout, even interior paint. Sure they chaned their logo to look all friendly and cute like but the main structure is still the same as it was when I used to roam around here. It brings back memories from my late teens where I used to always go to the arcade on the No. 3 Road side of this place, and eat at places like Floata (the better one compared to Chinatown) and buy goldfish (yes there use to be a pet store in here too!), even buy my Chinese CD's and movies. I came here not too long ago for a CD signing (Alan Tam for all who must know) and it was like walking into yesterday. I drove to the top and parked my car, cause most people are just lazy with their cars and would rather circle around, wait around, at the bottom for spots (how things have not changed!). I walked in, and there was a sense of deja vu. Just seeing the hallways, and stores I remembered that are now long gone into memory, but one thing that has not changed is the food court, some of these vendors have been here since the opening of this mall. This mall has some of the best Chinese food court vendors and is usually busy around lunch time as the people know where to go. There is a lot of parking at this mall, from around it, to the ramp up on top of the place. Sometimes the traffic situation in this mall can get hectic, with everyone trying to leave the place, and if you are here, to try to get out could be a headache, but is still a main staple of Richmond in terms of Chinese malls. I still consider this place one of the big three (Yaohan and Aberdeen the others on the list) and I still like coming here, not to shop anymore, but just for the food. Tons of food options, if your looking for a sit-down away from the food court type place there is Ajisen and another big Chinese Seafood restaurant in here, there is HSBC for your banking needs, and enough cheap Chinese clothing vendors, including a big kitchen/cookward store to waste your time and to try to get your money. If your sick of Aberdeen, walk over here, the prices are a little cheaper and get a sense of Chinese Richmond how it was in the mid 90's. read more

This is a very old style Chinese shopping mall in Richmond, it is not worthwhile to visit when comparing to Yohan or Aberdeen Center if you are shopping for trendy items. Most of the stores are selling low end merchandises and off style cheap clothings. The food court is a bite dirty and old style is probably lower class than Crystal Mall in Burnaby. I use to come to Parker Place all the time. The reason is they have a store that sells the waffle like Egg Balls. Oh I love those! This is the best place I have had them so far. I have not found a place in the SB that can compare. She would make the cookie Egg Rolls fresh too. Everything was made fresh to order. I would watch her pour the batter in and you can smell them cooking. It would just be perfect, warm, crispy on the outsides and soft on the inside. Okay now I am craving for one! read more

Can't really say that I'd come here with the explicit purpose of shopping but damn it has an AMAZING food court. The whole thing has a very homey feel to it that just reels you in! Although it does look very aged, I kind of like how it screams 1980's! A place hasn't given me that kind of feeling again since I last stepped into Station Square. read more

I really wish there was more shopping in this mall! But the 4 stars go to the amazing food court in this mall. The parking is extremely frightening and the wait for a table in the food court is also stressful, but the food is amazing and it's really cheap! However, the mall itself (especially those hallways) looks really dirty. I do agree that the mall can use some renovations since it has not changed at all. read more
