George came out the next day to take a look at our tree and provided a very reasonable estimate. Although we didn't have an urgent need for the trimming, they were able to do the work just a few days later. They raided the canopy and thinned our Red Oak as well as removed a dead bush stump. I cannot rave enough about this company and have already referred them to my neighbors. I had extreme storms that knocked half of my tree down. I was able to talk about my situation (how tall the remaining tree was, how close it was to my neighbor's house, etc), even sent pictures via text to ensure I "really needed emergency tree removal". Ultimately, I made the right decision, had the tree cut down late at night and the crew was on my yard first thing in the morning to finish the job - quite expertly I might add! read more

We had a diseased Hackberry tree at the end of the driveway. Tree was in bad shape and needed to be taken down by bucket truck rather than allowing anyone to climb in it. I called Parker Tree Service to come to assess the situation. We had another tree that we wanted removed from the front yard so after talking with Steve Barrett we decided to have Parker Tree Service remove that tree as well. Their guys were on time, professional, ground the stumps and cleaned up all the debris, which was great. I received a quote from the owner of this company. His name is George. Wow, he was one of the rudest, most offensive people I have ever met. He started by telling my "trees look horrible," my "lawn looks pitiful," my "trees are sick and dying," and that "only stupid homeowners have grass; the best homes have only trees and gardens." As the owner, I can only guess this is his bully approach to scare you into hiring him. After five minutes of being told that my home and lot is complete garbage, I thanked him and told him that since apparently my trees are dying I guess there was no need to do anything. For the record, I have lived in my home for over nine years, had the trees trimmed routinely by another certified arborists who are actually honest and kind, and the lawn maintained by an exceptional lawn service. I have never had any tree die or any issues with any of my lawn. We noticed he had a weed pipe in his truck and quite honestly he seemed like he was under the influence of something during our interaction. For all of these reasons, I will definitely not be hiring this company and will be posting in my private neighborhood Facebook group what a bad experience I had. Homeowner beware! read more

I seriously can not say enough about Parker Tree Service! I have a large Hackberry Tree in my front yard and had a dead palm tree in my back yard. The Hackberry in the front yard was overrun with mistletoe and had not been pruned in years! The Palm in the back needed to be removed completely. I got a very fair quote from Vernon who came out and took the time to explain everything that was needed. We went around both trees to make sure we were getting everything down. He wanted to make sure that he was getting everything that I wanted! That was very nice so everything would be done correctly! He quoted me a price on the spot, and when I told him I needed to get with my husband, and some other quotes, he was very nice. I felt absolutely no pressure to go with them on the spot! I have had other service providers that try to make you sign right away and they get quite pushy about it. This was not the case at all with Vernon! I called him back 1 week later after much research and scheduled a time for the service. They came while I was at work, and they were still working when I got home! They worked until after 6:30 taking care of everything! They did not leave a single limb behind! The clean up they did was impressive to say the least! I hired Parker Tree Service after reading a glowing review on Nextdoor. I negotiated a fair price for the removal of five mature Chinaberry trees in my yard. I concur this company's service is professional, courteous and fast! They were out the next day, removed the trees, chipped the wood on-site so it wasn't left at the curb for the city to pick up, grinded the stumps, cleaned up the work areas (and rest of the yard!), and the four-man crew was still gone within three hours! As I mentioned to Mr. Parker, I could barely tell the trees or the crew had ever been there! They even saved a sprinkler head that was at ground zero in one of the work areas! Quite extraordinary! With their state of the art equipment and a hard-working English-speaking crew, Parker Tree Service took a massive tree from 50 feet tall to 8 inches under the ground in less than a day! George is a great guy to do business with. I called him based on reviews I saw online and took a chance with him. He was very pleasant to work with. I wasn't here when he and his crew came by to do the work, but they did a FANTASTIC job. My trees look great, and they cleaned everything up. I couldn't find so much as a twig left behind. They thinned out and shaped a live oak, and did a little pruning on a couple of other trees. I also had them grind some stumps in my flower beds. UPDATE BELOW- I needed a tree removed. Called Parker and a guy named Vernon comes out. Nice guy, talked a lot about how good they are and how they want customers for life. Sounded good since I have 11 fully grown trees on my property. The tree needing removal had a concrete tree ring to be removed as well. Guy said they would remove tree ring and haul it off for an additional $50. Remove tree, grind stump and all for $950. Fair deal, shook on it. No other phone calls from the company. Couple days later they just show up to start work. No phone calls that they were on the way. Generally no big deal except that my wife works from home and has conference calls all day. Tree is right outside her office window. She had to take time off due to unexpected arrival of Parker. Guys did a good job cutting down tree. Started grinding stump and it was discovered that there was an inner tree ring that the stump had grown around. News to me since trees and rings were in place when I purchased home. All work stopped due to this ring. Guys cleaned up but put the grind shavings in all of my flower beds and planters as if it were mulch. Within two weeks all of my plants were dead. Thanks Parker. Anyway, Vernon came out next day to inspect the second tree ring. He advised that the ring would need removed to continue grind. I said I would do removal but did not have tools to do it. He said he would come back with a concrete saw and cut ring into sections. I said cool, if they did that I would remove the sections. I advised that I understood if extra charges were going to be assessed. He said, "no no. We will not charge. We want your business. You did not know it was there nor did we. We will make it right. Just cut me a check for $900 today and we will come back to finish the grind." Normally I would never ever do this but I cut a check. I figured hey, they are a reputable company that has been around forever. Man was I wrong. Vernon never came back and never called. I talked to him twice and he said the concrete saw was broken. Waited three days and tried back and was told he had to pick it up from the shop. Finally after three call to Vernon and just the run around, I called the Parker office. Got the owner, he said he would get with Vernon and they would resolve issue. I waited a couple days and no phone calls. Never has Parker called me, I have always had to call. Anyway, owner answers phone and tells me that they have bigger more important jobs than my little tree ring and that my phoning them and bugging them will not get my ring done. Whoa whoa whoa! I already paid for the services that you have yet to complete and you guys cashed the check. He says, "will get around to it and quit calling." I advise that I paid for a stump grind that is not complete. I asked that if I took care of ring, will they come out and finish what I paid for. He said, "buddy, we will come out the next day." At this point I have lost all faith in this company. Especially after how the owner talked to me on the phone. Two weeks passed since tree removal started. I phoned 5 times to get resolution and never a call back, just a we will call you every time. I don't think this is excessive since my check had already been cashed. I rented equipment from Depot and took out ring myself. I called Golden Tree and explained what happened to them. They said they would be more than happy to help. Came out next day and ground stump. They are now my tree care experts. I filed a complaint with be BBB against Parker for a $250 credit for equipment rental and cost of stump removal by Golden Tree. Parker never replied nor settled. I guess their sterling reputation does not matter nor does good customer service. Thanks Parker! FYI, I never included all of the landscaping that they killed or destroyed. UPDATE: Received a private message on Facebook after posting my complaint to their wall. Rachel has been hired by Parker to handle customer relations. She contacted me and had a genuine concern about my complaint. She advised that the owner of the company felt the same way and apologized for the incident. She offered my wife and I the refund that we previously requested through the BBB. Again, very apologetic and I received a check in three days. It is not about the money. Parker made a mistake and recognized it. Bravo! read more
