It turns out that all of the excuses he gave me, including mourning the death of his father, were his way to attempt to pacify me in the hopes that I would finally give up. Rebecca, the owner, after discovering what was happening, is extremely apologetic and has sent me a refund of the overcharge. While I feel badly for Rebecca as she's dealing with this headache, I am happy to again recommend and order from the shop. Their brittles are the best!
