I was looking for the cherries on wire candy for the Christmas tree, something I remember having as a kid going to my friends house. It's just such a unique Christmas decoration. This is a great little candy shop. Be sure to get the check in offer! The lady working there wasn't even aware of the offer, but she didn't hesitate to honor it. She let us pick any two pieces in the display, no restrictions. I has a salted mixed nut turtle which was awesome. My wife had a pecan turtle which she said was good. Delightful, old fashioned candy shop. Fourth generation run and coming up on its 100th year in business (est 1925?). Most everything is hand made or dipped in house. The caramels are to die for and we couldn't decide whether dark or milk chocolate was better--get both! Incredibly kind and helpful service. Highly recommend. read more

I have been ordering from them for almost a decade. My mom grew up in two rivers so we spent a a lot of time here getting sundaes. They have sent amazing candy to me, and family since I moved. I can not thank them enough. They were there after my Dad died, and they continue to act as a family business. The candy is good, but the personal touch means more. I love them. read more

Today we stopped at this shop and I was very unimpressed with their selection of chocolates many of which looked old as they sat in the case. When I was in line I ordered a iced coffee for my daughter and an ice cream cone for myself. She gave me my cone (very tiny scoop) then proceeded to take someone else's order before finishing my order. When I said we still need my daughters coffee she relies with "ya it's being made" which it wasn't. After literally 10 minutes of waiting for her to help the woman who butted in front of me, she made the iced latte with hot steamed milk that she poured over ice (which made warm watered down milk) and then poured a huge amount of syrup then one small shot of hot espresso in them added more ice which just melted. It was a disgusting warm watered down cup of grossness which my daughter took one sip of and asked if she could Throw it away. Gross, skip the coffee, skip the ice cream, skip the chocolate. read more

Certainly the best lollipop in Green Bay, I recommend something a bit off, like Anise or sarsaparilla, because they don't use many artificial ingredients in their pops. Yay! Candy! read more

Went here because of the good reviews, and because they had a yelp promotion for free chocolate. They have a very underwhelming variety of candy, I honestly think the grocery store has more. There was jewelry and other stuff in there too to fill up space. We bought a melt away bar and chocolate malt balls. When we went to pay I showed her the Yelp promotion for free chocolate that I got when I checked in, and she just told me that she had never seen that before. She didn't even bother to ask anyone else about it- and didn't seem to care at all to be honest. Considering how dead it was in there on a Saturday you'd think they might be more interested in how to get more business, but I guess not. Really wish I would have gotten that free sample, because the chocolate is atrocious. It's WAY too sweet. It destroys the delicate cocoa taste. I couldnt eat more than one malt ball. Chocolate is like coffee: the flavor is a matter of taste, and a matter of where the beans came from, how it was processed, etc. Personally, I like Beerntsen's MUCH better than the other hometown favorites. I prefer dark chocolate, the darker the better, and though I don't know for sure, I suspect Beerntsen's uses chocolate with a higher cacao content. Something about it just tastes richer and more satisfying to me. Anyway: my hand's down favorite in Green Bay, or anyplace else for that matter! Especially the dark chocolate coconut clusters after having lunch at Bankok Garden Thai next door. read more
