We just had our first visit for full body scans, office is very clean, I asked nurse if they just moved in, "no we've been here for years, were just a clean office'. PA Kseniya is wonderful, she immediately addressed skin items that " Advanced Dermatology" had disregarded for years. PA Kseniya recommended lotion to clear up fungus on the bottom of my foot. Prior dermatologist office never looked or checked fungus on my foot. My wife & I feel like we had a full body scan for the first time since we left NY. me and my husband have been patients there since 2015, he had an appt for a skin check on his toe, the doctor said she thought it was trauma my husband said he didn't hurt his toe the dark streak just appeared overnight but she insisted it was trauma and said she would "Change" his toe medication and will call it in to our pharmacy, we picked it up within the hour and it was the same medication, ... we had just left the Dr's office, so I called to see if they could send in the "New" medication .. and the Assistant of the doctor we see refused and said she couldn't give me any information, and just "hung up" on me! I felt that was very unprofessional, all we wanted was the Correct Medication to be called in.. nothing in detail. So we decided to change to another Dermatologist. To be honest, I was going to cancel my yearly appt when they called. I explained it was because of the unsatisfactory last visit where none of my issues were addressed. I was handed 3 prescriptions with absolutely no explanation and shuffled out of the office. The Staff on the phone explained that the PA I had was no longer there so I decided to try again. I am so glad that I did. The care I got was exceptional. PA Sara and her Assistant Brittany were the best. Sara took her time and wrote out the directions for the meds prescribed and described everything she was doing before doing it. Both Sara and Brittany made me feel very comfortable and secure in knowing that I was now doing everything correctly. They were both professional and personable as was the Reception Staff. I received a voicemail that said that the results of my biopsy were in and that I had a very aggressive skin cancer, that should be treated immediately. But I had not seen these doctors for almost a year. So I called back to let them know that they had left the message for the wrong person, and would they please contact the right person. It took forever to get through their telephone system answering service, and when I got through they were not very apologetic or thankful that I called. Then I received a Medicare statement bill for that visit that I never had, and also for the biopsy that was for another patient. It took quite a while to get through to their billing dept, and I still don't if that was resolved with Medicare. Again not very apologetic. I had a check up appointment scheduled for next month, which they cancelled without talking to me. I called and was told that that doctor was no longer doing routine check ups, and was offered appointments with what appeared to not be doctors, but perhaps two nurses that I don't know, and don't know their credentials. I'm not fond of getting naked for women, nurses or not, that I don't know, so I gave up on them. They may have good doctors, but their business is awful read more

The voicemail advised that calls would be returned within 2 business days, but said not to call a second time. I will let that speak for itself. I've had very good experiences with the staff at palm coast parks dermatology. I've been a patient for about six months to address several skin cancer issues that have been causing me a bit of worry for a while now. Dr. K has been doing my surgical work--two Mohs procedures, two excisions, and some smaller basal cell freezing procedures. They don't keep me waiting, which is a big deal from me because I come during breaks in my busy work schedule. Dr. K is quick and thorough, and he makes sure the procedures are as painless as possible. I appreciate that because I'm a big baby with surgical stuff. The support staff is professional and friendly, the nurses are personable and thoughtful, and Dr. K is precise and efficient. I highly recommend this office. Also, keep in mind that very few people write good reviews of doctors' offices, and getting pieces of skin cut of is rarely a good experience, so one good review should be worth like 10 bad reviews. read more

This company called me twice to reschedule my one appointment. It took 3 times to schedule my actual appointment. 12/12@11:45, then rescheduled to 12/14@11:45 & the final 12/14@1:15. I got stuck in traffic and i called to make sure they would be ok with me coming in 10 minutes later than scheduled. The lady proceeded to get rude and tell me new patients are supposed to arrive 10 mins early. She had no empathy what so ever. She continued to tell me there is no available appointments until the 27th of December. I felt like i was arguing to get into my appointment? Then continued to cancel my appointment. Would NOT recommend going here. I didn't even get inside & I can tell this place is unprofessional! They can't keep up with their schedules and very rude. Been a patient for over 7 years. They used to be great. The Doctor we had was, concerned, caring and a little humorous. Not any more. Now this doctor rushes in, takes a quick glance at you and rushes out the door while he is still talking. I think he learned that trick from his useless PA. So now he is moving to a Symrna beach office so this other doctor gets his patients, because they are friends! I had a pre cancerous condition, that the doctor eyeballed, No need for biopsy! No follow up needed. Came back in 2 months cause it wasnt healed. Got the new Doctor. Got a creme that did nothing. Told to purchase a balm for $19 bucks. Did nothing. Return visit where Doc did not examine area but gave me a cream for exzema. Burned like hell. 4 visits= no results read more

The office is uncomfortably cold I couldn't feel my toes 15 min into waiting and the poor elderly people in the office were shivering. I went in for a full body scan and have had some basal cell spots removed prior so I know what they look like and I had 2 spots. The PA came in I don't even remember her name she dashed and darted around so fast I couldn't set eyes on her lanyard but I felt like I was a bother to her. She proceeded to around quickly and disregarded most of what I asked. I was concerned about some keratosis spots that bleed and hurt and that are in the way of my bra and she blew me right off. I said can they be removed and she said no. I don't believe that is true but I swear it took all of 5 mins for a full scan. She said Dr. Parks will do the Mohs surgery in the Ormond office for the spot on my chest and gave me some cream for eczema, it was like a whirl wind, I was in, spun around a few times, and tossed out the door. I left with a headful of questions that I don't think she would have answered anyway. I went in with 2 basal cell spots and she only found the 1 and I was so taken back by her inability to connect with me that I forgot to mention the second one that she should have found on her own. I live 3 mins from the Ormond Beach office but there were no appointments, I asked the appointment lady if once I get through this appointment can I please do my follow up appts at the Ormond office and I was told yes. The patient portal told me my results the following week, but It took 3 weeks for them to call me about the basal cell spot on my chest so I mentioned having it done in Ormond so I didnt have to drive more than a half hour to the palm coast office she said someone would call to schedule. When the Ormond office called they told me unfortunately, Dr. Parks only does Mohs if the cancer is on the face and that I would have to back to the Palm Coast office to get the cancer removed. I thought wow that is weirdly specific and I felt like maybe they didn't want to bother with such a small spot but I could be wrong. I said, I think I will have to find a different dermatologist that is more accommodating the girl had a bit of an attitude after that but come on, I felt like I was being punished for not having cancer on my face. Things have changed since the days of only 1 office for Parks Dermatology. In my 20's I had a spots removed with Dr. Parks and he was friendly and nice but this PA I had was too impatient, It was like going through one of those quick car washes the ones that miss a bunch of hard to reach spots. Instead, I got a bubbly little twenty something that came in with another girl. I don't know who the hell SHE was. She handed me a bottle of Alastin retinol 1%. I bought it. $60. made an appointment as a new patient, just moved here. Was 4 minutes late, because I am human and LIFE happens, waited in line at the front desk for 6 minutes while other were ahead of me, signed in and was told i would have to reschedule because I was late. I cannot believe I was treated so rudely, and as I paying patient with insurance looking for treatment I WAS TURNED AWAY. Sorry, this is very very bad customer service no matter if you are any type of office that deals with the public. I am a skin cancer survivor.....how dare they treat me like that. I must say I read the previous posts and thought they may have changed over time. Appointments was easy process and girl very helpful. That is where it ended. Arrived and was seen on time. The assistant that greeted me was not personable at all and actually rude. I saw a PA and not a doctor. As I checked out the girl at the desk could not have been any more rude. Her and the PA's assistant need to find another line of work. Will see how it goes on the follow up. I may be looking again for a new Dermatologist. read more

I went in for one of the doctors to check an allergic reaction from dish sanitizer on my arms from work. During this visit one of the doctors noticed a pig bite on my arm. She asked if they could QUOTE "just do a quick test on it for educational purposes" because they had never seen one before. I told them MULTIPLE times I have NO insurance and basically live paycheck to paycheck I cannot afford unnecessary bills. They assured me I wasn't being billed for this. I paid my bill in full after they checked my rash and I went on my merry way. A month ago I received a bill for $600 for this pig bite lab test which mind you I never even got the medicine they called in for me because I told them it was healing perfectly fine once the blister was lanced open. I called SO MANY times to get help with this bill the girl told me I was essentially lying that her doctor would never do something for "fun". I had 5 doctors laughing with me in the office making jokes with me about the bite. So. Little do you know about your doctors. Someone named Lindsay from billing called me and had me email a copy of my Quest bill that she would try and take care of the misunderstanding and get back to me. Here I am 2 months later and have heard nothing back, and received another quest bill that it will be sent to collections if I don't pay. THANK YOU FOR BEING A BUNCH OF UNHELPFUL SCAM ARTISTS taking advantage of people who don't have insurance. I have been to the Parks dermatology Center several times for various problems. I have always been seen either at my appointed time or before, I have never been kept waiting in the examination room, and the staff is courteous, professional,knowledgeable, and caring. The treatments I have received have been excellent. Also, even though I may have an appointment to treat a specific problem, any other skin problems that have been found during the routine examinations have been treated on the spot, not at a second office visit. Saves me time, my problem gets treated immediately, and the cost remains lower. I heartily recommend Dr. Parks and his staff. read more

My husband was a patient at both Parks Dermatology and Advanced Dermatology. . In March of 2016 he came to Parks with a rash. A biopsy was done and we were told that the cause of his rash was due to a medication. Parks was not able to determine what medication. Their treatment plan was for my husband not to use Soaps, Lotions or anything with perfumes. The rash got worse and covered almost 80% of his body and the burning and itching were worse. We were not happy with the care he received at Parks so in Feb of 2018 we went to Advanced. We thought at least they had a better treatment plan with Steroid shots and Cream that gave my husband some relief for a little while. Advanced did no further testing. In Nov of 2018, my husband was sent to Mayo by his heart Dr, because his heart condition looked like it was getting worse for a possible heart transplant. Mayo was more concerned about the rash and lesions on my husbands body. Also he had lost 40lbs and all of his hair in 5 months.He was sent to dermatology at Mayo ,where they did biopsies. They diagnosed my husband as having Sezary Syndrome a rare form of Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma which was Stage IV and now in his blood stream. So because of a wrong diagnosis my husband suffered for almost a year. There was limited treatment available to him because of his heart condition and the disease being so advanced. My husband passed away April 10th.I hope this may bring awareness to someone else that may have this horrible disease and testing will be done differently. I don't understand how Mayo could diagnose but neither Dermatologists here in Palm Coast could and because of that my husband didn't get the proper treatment and suffered for so long. read more

I usually go to the Port Orange Office, but I came to the Palm Coast Office because they could fit me in. The service was every bit as good and friendly as it is in Port Orange. I have been a patient for a few years and I have always found Parks Dermatology to be a notch above other doctors that I have seen. Do yourself a favor and do go to this office. Clearly they don't care about new patients or wasting your time. I showed up 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, as I was asked, to fill out paperwork, then waited an additional 45 minutes as they took everyone else in the waiting room-including several people who arrived well after me- before I decided to leave without getting to see a doctor. I have to assume they just prioritize existing patients? Don't really know and don't really care. I won't be rescheduling as I don't have time for businesses who treat their patients or customers in that manner. read more

Prior to Parks Dermatology we went to a prominent Dermatologist who also had an attached beauty treatment center with lots of machines.. A 3 inch dark spot appeared on my wife's cheek and she was treated at this beauty treatment center with high-powered bright white light. The spot faded somewhat but didn't go away. The woman in Palm Coast who gives my wife facials didn't like that spot and suggested that she visit Parks Dermatology for a second opinion. Parks Dermatology detected an in situ melanoma and suggested immediate surgery. My wife had 3 inches of her cheek removed at Mayo followed by four years of successful reconstructive plastic surgery. Parks Dermatology helped us through every procedure. They helped save her life! What more can anyone ask for? Parks Dermatology are the folks we go to. They are competent,, ethical, friendly and do what's necessary to keep you healthy. They have earned our trust. read more
