However instead of shrinking the bodice they just pulled the whole thing up by the shoulders. (this moved the bust hip and waist line up making it fit even less well). When I showed up at assigned time to pick up the dress and my daughters pants, The dress was not finished and the pants were wrong. I was then rushed in the day before the due date to get the hem re pinned as they said the pins had fallen out. I picked up the pants that were re done but not pressed. The following day I picked up the dress and it was a disaster. Too long to walk without tripping and as suspected the bodice was way off. I found another place to fix it all in rush job and paid a fortune. The second seamstress suggested that I get a new dress cause it was so badly botched (actually longer in front than back -full length gown) All this just days before my son's wedding. The mattress weighs 100 lbs. and the layer/mattress "wrap" is an integral part of the mattress. It's not a "mattress cover." First, they said "we'll call you" which they did not. I couldn't get anyone on the phone, so showed up. "Oh!" she said, and handed me a plastic linen bag with what appeared to be it. I got home and the worker I'd hired showed up. We removed it from the bag. The entire bottom of it was missing. They'd separated/fully unzipped it and failed to return the bottom piece. So here I'd hired this guy and we could not put back this $150 cover. I tried calling Custom FDC. I left a message. No one ever called me back. I had to order a new one from the manufacturer. The mattress's warranty is void if you do not have that piece on the mattress, all the way around. I tried calling, again. I drove down there, again. "Oh!!" She runs in the back and comes back with the missing piece. So...they'd figured it out but couldn't be bothered trying to contact me? I explained how I'd needed that piece to put the bed/mattress together and this had cost me quite a bit of money and would be costing me quite a bit more. Hundreds more. She just laughed nervously, handed me a $20. I said she was being penny-wise, pound-foolish, but I don't think that got through. Very disappointing experience.

The dress was perfectly hemmed but the straps which were wide were simply folded over once and poorly sewn down. I could've easily taken scissors or a seam ripper through it gently and the work would've been undone. I was charged $175 for this. It cost more than the actual dress. The woman was kind and offered assistance on the alterations being done but I wish I knew how high the price would be for the work done. I know prices vary but for the alterations done on the dress straps and the loose sewing I believe I was overcharged. I read my positive reviews and I'm sure it was great work but always remember to confirm the expenses and look around for your best fit.
