I wear a lot of wool sweaters and delicate blouses that require proper dry cleaning, and everything always comes back looking clean.

He charges me eight dollars for the repair and returned this to me. When asked, why is the stitch shorter and done in blue thread he tells me that it's a blind stitch and you can't see it, but we're looking right at it. This guy has a terrible attitude problem and has a conniption, because I'm not satisfied with the work. He's adamant about his work being done correctly so I take it to my original tailor at Happy cleaners , without telling her who did the work she tells me all the mistakes that he made and now I have to pay double for the correction.

And, I was in a great mood before this specific confrontation. Know this, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS BUSINESS!!! As I entered the establishment, I gave the attendant, which seems to look like he was the owner, my dry cleaning receipt. He locates my shirts, and brings them to the counter. Then, I pull out my bank card and try to hand it to him. He scowls at me, and says the amount of the shirts is $4.75, and I NEED CASH. I calmly say, "I don't have cash!" He angrily points to a sign on the top right corner of the wall, and states that the bill needs to be more than ten dollars if I want use a credit card. The manner in which he spoke to me was unacceptable, and as a consumer, I certainly DO NOT NEED TO BE SPOKEN IN THAT MANNER. So, I march to my bank down the street, use the mac machine and withdraw funds so that I can pay for my shirts. I reentered the cleaners and hand him the money. Also, I strongly told him that he did not have to speak to me in that way. After that, you could see that his emotions were the same and showed no remorse for had transpired. However, his ears perked up when I told him that I was going to post a review. The power of Yelp is still alive, even during a global pandemic!!! Do your self a favor, even if it's more expensive, find a different dry cleaners to go to.

I started using Fidelity when I moved to Jenkintown, because they were super convenient, and I…read moredrove by them on the way home. My first time was OK, they don't speak English and there is never more than one person there, but nothing abnormal. I also had them fix the zipper in a down jacket-- basically put a new zipper in. It was OK, but expensive. Zipper works so I considered it a job well done. So I went in last week and asked for some more repairs -- a color-matching patch in two pairs of jeans with holes (the fat rip -- crotch) like I had previously elsewhere. I also wanted a new layer of fabric at the bottom of a Free People dress which I mistakenly stuck in the dryer and shrunk the length of. I was VERY clear that she should get the piece of fabric and show it to me BEFORE doing it. Basically, I wanted to elongate my dress. So I went in to pick up my dry cleaning today, and not only had she not color matched the jeans holes (the blue stood out SO badly, it was plain and obvious), they left the excess fabric on the inside of the jean! It was so bad, I sent it back to have it removed, because I don't trust them now. And then I see my dress. With the new piece of fabric ATTACHED! It was horrendous. Like, really really bad. Seams in the front of the dress in the new panel, when there is no seam on the front of the rest of the dress. It's not even fully attached, either, there were still HOLES where the new piece wasn't attached, and I could stick my pinky in between the old hem and the new piece. I was SO disappointed. And of course, the guy behind the counter didn't know what he was doing, it was his first day, and he didn't speak English well. So I am having them remove everything they did. Oh, and they f***ed up another dress of mine. It had a rhinestone brooch on the front, and the tag's directions say to "cover" the pin, and so I tell the lady when I drop it off, COVER it. She says, "We remove it" I say, no, it's sewn in to the satin, just cover. Of course, they removed it. And didn't reattach it. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They are too expensive and terrible at what they do! I have more, but this is already long enough. If there was a way to give negative stars, they'd be negative 5.

    Alterations By Sammie

I had a very emotional experience. I was going to just write it off and forget about it, but I…read morethink it's only fair to the owner and other brides-to-be to share my experience from my point of view. I came to Sammie in September 20, 2022 to request a few alterations for my wedding gown. I needed it to be taken in, have a zipper installed, patchwork to be sewn back on, among a few other things. I needed a petticoat for my dress, and the one that I brought in from Amazon didn't quite work, so Sammie advised I return the petticoats and wait for her to see if she could get me one and she would include it for no extra charge if it wasn't too expensive. All of this Sammie said she could do for a flat rate fee of $700. At that time, Sammie pinned up my dress where things needed to be corrected and I paid her a deposit of $150 to start work. During this first appointment, Sammie made a few comments about my weight asking if I was trying to lose any. She also asked these questions over the phone when I called in late July to schedule an I repeatedly told her that I was not trying to lose any weight, that I was very happy with me. What made this appointment more chaotic is her dog who was disabled and wearing a diaper was barking and whining the entire time. I felt bad for Sammie. My first fitting was scheduled for November 28, 2022. To my horror, when I came in and saw my dress, I noticed NOTHING had been done to it. The only thing she did was rip the stitching out from the side. This was hardly a fitting. The first fitting basically became a repeat of my first appt. Then when I started asking her about the patchwork, she said that she would glue them back on instead of sew. She also pulled out this petticoat that she said she made for somebody else that changed their mind and offered it to me to rent for an additional cost. That petticoat didn't work for me either, and I was taking a back that she expected me to give her extra money for it when it was something that she didn't have to go out of her way to buy. Another week goes by, and I watch Sammie post things on social media advertising her business and I begin to grow more concerned that she's not working on my dress. So I had a few friends call her to see if she was available for an appointment, which she said she was. So, once I knew that she was in her shop, I went over there to pick up my dress. At that time I didn't have the heart to tell her how I felt she wasn't making make me feel like a priority, and I was losing confidence in her abilities as a seamstress. I didn't want the confrontation. I just told her that I was going to do something else. As soon as I left, I brought my dress to the cleaners around the corner from me, who installed my zipper, and took in my dress within a matter of five days. I then took my dress home and corrected everything else myself. In the end, I was able to wear the dress that I wanted at my wedding, and it looked exactly how I had imagined it. I had spoke with a couple other seamstresses, one of which is a very good friend of mine and has been doing this for over 30 years and they said Sammi should've never accepted any money from me until the work was done. Also, the fact she was asking $700 and had my dress for over two months and did nothing to it was a red flag, and I definitely was right by taking it from her. She was putting me in a very stressful position where my wedding was less than two months away, and I didn't even have my dress. I didn't want that anxiety. I honestly think the owner is going through something, and it didn't help that her dog died. I think she was getting herself into things that she couldn't truly commit to, and didn't have the heart to say no. But she was OK with taking my money which is not something I sit well with. I would suggest using her for other things like making pillows, because based off of what she posts on Facebook, that seems to be where her heart is right now. I wish her all the best. 2/6/2023 - tried filing a dispute with the seller to get back my $150 deposit and the owner is refusing to refund me. She could've very well sabotaged my wedding day had I left my dress with her. I had to do what I had to do and bring it to someone else. She was going to grossly overcharge me for services and then not even make me a priority. No Bride should ever have to stress out about their wedding dress not being ready, especially when they bring it in for alterations 4 months prior to the wedding day!!! BRIDES BEWARE!!!!
