As a student who has gone to Roxbury Elementary, Parkside Elementary, Orchard Middle School and…read moreSolon Middle School, I can say, with confidence, this district horribly stressful. The elementary schools were fine, but the two middle schools were both pretty terrible. OMS is far worse than SMS. Orchard teaches grades 5-6, and is just terrible at dealing with bullies. My sister was being made fun of by a boy, and so the teacher dismissed this as him liking her, and did nothing. He was harassing her and calling her names, and this teacher just stood there and laughed about it! There was also a substitute teacher, who subbed for both here and SMS, who still holds a grudge against me for stuff I did in the 6th grade, and tells me I haven't changed! Then, at SMS, the teachers assign far too many group projects, which is torture for a kid like me with no friends, and they make us wear gym uniforms like it's 1969. The teachers were all excellent though, except that one teacher and the substitute. They're all very fair and kind, and I wish more districts had people like them. I'm a student, and I have to say my fellow students are all terrible people. They are snobby rich kids and they can swear and fight in the bathrooms all they want without any consequences. There's a group of boys who have to eat lunch in detention for the rest of the year, and they could not care less. They don't respect teachers or administrators, and despite being a very diverse district, are still somehow racist. I heard the N-word in the hallway four times on my way to my locker one day, and this was in the span of 3-5 minutes. The students are also very disrespectful to substitute teachers. When a substitute teacher got a boy in trouble, he said it was sexist because she didn't also get a girl in trouble. No girls were doing anything as bad as what he was doing, but he still complained about it. Another kid, in the same class, got in trouble for yelling out in class, and the substitute wrote his name down. The entitled little douchebag reported the substitute teacher for being unfair. This child was always yelling out. This was 100% fair. But still he went behind the poor substitute's back and complained to the teacher. The curriculum also spends the entire year preparing you for state tests. So basically, you spend all year preparing for tests that don't effect your grade, just to make Solon look better.

The malodorous smell wafts out to the basketball gym floor, and players are hit with the smell before they shoot their jump shot. The odor is enough to miss the shot. I don't know why the dude wanted to open the door. The nimrod just thought he was doing something, but he was being a nugget

There were several reasons why I chose Chanel: 1. The uniforms were not too bad and we were given some options to "mix things up a bit" 2 Small class sizes (as compared to local public schools and other larger Catholic Schools) 3 Nice community feel amongst the teachers, administrators, and students 4. Yes, it is a Catholic High School, but it did not feel "too churchy" and we Incorporated a lot of general philosophy concepts in our religion courses 5. Good theatre program 6. Good sports program (for boys and girls) 7. Good opportunities for community service and improving the lives of others through volunteering 8. They offered a tuition payment plan that was manageable for my family I really have great memories of high school. I think this is in large part due to my choosing Chanel.
