I used Keepsake Memories for funeral programs after the passing of my brother. Because of the…read moretiming of the funeral, I had very little time to get the programs printed and felt pressured to make a quick decision. I reached out to Anthony, and unfortunately, I regret using his company. Looking back, I should have listened to the three red flags I noticed, but I moved forward out of desperation. Red Flag #1: I requested to see a single printed copy before all programs were printed. Anthony said that would not be possible, even though I was willing to meet him anywhere at his convenience. Red Flag #2: I asked for a specific delivery time. He said he could only guarantee the programs would arrive before the funeral service, but could not provide any further details. Red Flag #3: I asked if I could pay a portion upfront and the remainder upon receiving the programs. He required full payment before printing. Anthony did deliver the programs before the service, but the quality was very poor. Although the paper weight was what we discussed (still thinner than expected), the bigger issue was the print quality. The images I sent were full-bleed (printed to the edges), but the programs I received had white borders around them, and the print quality looked like something produced on a home printer. In my discussion with Anthony regarding my dissatisfaction with my order, he mentioned sending me pictures of previous work, but there was no way for me to know my programs would have borders when the original files I provided did not, nor that the print quality would be so disappointing. Thankfully, I also ordered another set of programs from an online company. They charged me less, delivered within 48 hours, used glossy cardstock, and provided a proof before payment so I could see exactly what the finished product would look like. Using Keepsake Memories/Anthony was a mistake. I'm sharing this so others understand what they may be getting into when working with Keepsake Memories, especially during a vulnerable time when families are grieving and under pressure.

Then Anthony said " I got you" and I told him about my brother (school teacher who loved and breathed everything super hero) Anthony creates a X Men Themed program (attached for your amazement) Sonny our brother was super imposed on wolverines body, hero's gathered around his casket and mourned him. My mom passed away a few years back (f*ck cancer!) and we were not in the right headspace. We were first timers and really needed guidance and patience. Landscape, Upkeeps, Grounds are all clean. The staff are very nice. It can be quite hectic at times during traditional Chinese cultural visits like during Cheng Ming, which coincides with Easter. The staff keeps it going and are usually helpful. If you have the money, this location is best for any family living in the 5 borough. Otherwise, it's Jersey or Upstate NY. The only 2 issues I have with Cypress Hill is 1) we paid for perpetual care but often we see lots of weeds & trash around my moms' grave. So we end up cleaning it ourselves. 2) WHY is there ONLY 1 bathroom?!? It's horrible and that bathroom is quite gross... so you might want to hold your bladder... Good luck friends.

My family and I have been visiting CHC nearly yearly since 1990 when my grandmother passed away…read more The land has been consistently well cared for. They even have trash receptacles just in case. I normally bring a large jug of water because the water spigot is a bit of a walk from where my grandmother is buried. I'd also imagine that the spigot is shut off during winter to prevent water from freezing and damaging the pipes. Normally I go to Glendale Florist about a few blocks away from the cemetery for a bouquets of flowers and cemetery cones but there are many other similar businesses in the area too. For those who might be wondering why there are large evergreen bushes planted next to graves in the Asian section, it's a symbolic cultural ritual that a number of people cherish. I respect other people's beliefs but my family and I don't participate in this particular activity. I had to ask about the beliefs behind this practice since I was not knowledgeable and also wondering. It was explained to me that these evergreen bushes are connected to the thought of eternalness which is probably why these bushes aren't shaped or pruned either. The sections are well marked. I don't know how much a plot costs because a family member made these arrangements so contact CHC for answers to your questions.

Matthew Freeman is exceptional! One if the kindest most compassionate men in this profession!…read more Unfortunately we lost our mother in the early hours and when I called Matthew at 1:30 am he was amazing! His first response was his sympathy for the situation, then offered whatever assistance we needed. He responded promptly dressed professionally tie and all at 3:00 am!!! He handled our Mother with the utmost respect and care! He has handled ever step of this process exactly the same! His facility is warm and comforting "like your home"! I highly recommend Raritan Bay as your first choice ! One additional thing. Unfortunately Matt has had to take care of more than my Mother in the past 2 months. His professionalism does not stop when your services are over!!! His follow up and assistance with all of the required items even after your funeral is over is attended to and delivered down to the smallest detail. She gave me the information and said when I did come to visit they would give me a map and show me how to get there. I asked if I could ask for her when I do go, she said yes and that her name is Olga. A couple of weeks later I did visit the cemetery and found Olga working in the office. She remembered our conversation and gave me a map with the directions, she was very kind and offered her condolences for my loss. I was actually thinking I would be given the information and be on my own. However it was totally opposite, she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and her voice and tone was that of an Angel. She made what was for me a very difficult situation totally manageable. Thank you Olga for all your help, you're a very special person.
