Moved in 2 weeks ago and love it. The community is great, the amenities are phenomenal, the apartment is very spacious, comfortable and clean. I love that the walls are not paper, saying in your hair, your neighbor, sneeze, or snore. There is none of that here. The dog park is a great perk. Any suggested I have is when you tour the property and look at the model with someone from the office ask to exactly what apartment you will be renting and check out the building location. Make sure it has the view that you're interested in if you want the front or the back with lake views or to be close to the pool or to be close to your storage unit ( if you rent one) I didn't get all the details upfront and had some surprises but we worked them out. Parkside has a beautiful resort style community that offers nice amenities. everything is always so tidy and nice. The staff is very friendly, especially Travis head of maintenance. He is always very prompt when needed and always willing to help out. read more

I've had a very frustrating experience with Parkside Apartments, primarily due to poor communication and unprofessional management. I've left multiple emails and voicemails that were never acknowledged, which already set a disappointing tone. Unfortunately, things didn't improve when dealing directly with management. Andrea, the property manager, comes across as cold and often speaks in a condescending manner to residents. When I reached out with a simple request to have the office notify our neighbors about excessive noise, the situation was handled very poorly. Instead of addressing it professionally, she told me the neighbor was "in tears" after being approached and even brought up that the neighbor's boyfriend is a firefighter--as if that somehow excuses the noise. She then suggested I handle it myself by speaking to the neighbors directly, which completely defeats the purpose of having a management team in place to mediate these situations and prevent potential conflict. Her response felt dismissive and inappropriate. More recently, I spoke with Darryl about concerns regarding how frequently maintenance has been entering our apartment. I requested that we be present during these visits, and he assured me it "was an easy fix" and that he would call the next morning to coordinate timing. That call never came. To be fair, the maintenance team themselves have been great, professional and respectful every time - and Nick in the office has also been very helpful and pleasant. The decent: the floors are vinyl laminate so you do get that easy to clean "nice" look, but 18x18 tile would still be nicer. The laying of the floor is not always done well, e.g. large gaps between boards in one apartment but not the next. The washer and dryer combos are newer, some are front load some are top load with agitators. The microwave is high wattage. The oven and range top work. The large deep basin sink is nice. The islands are a nice touch, and there is plenty of cabinetry and pantry space. The bathrooms are applicable here, overall nothing too wrong there. The buildings are decent with sound travel and reverb, I have to give them that. You shouldn't be too bothered by your up/down/side neighbors noise. Bedroom size is fair given the square footage of each unit. Closet space is nice, even if they're equipped with the ugly wire frame racks (ew). The okay: the refrigerator is a side-by-side which is awful for area space within the unit. It does have an ice and water dispenser though. The dishwasher is the cheapest mass unit they could get through GE. They're loud, inefficient, take hours on end, and are flimsy as all get out. The lighting is not placed well, the bulbs used are all too weak (low-lumens) and they will die out on you in your first year here. Will be up to you to buy new ones (just get Great Value Daylights). They're also warm white...gross, who the hell enjoys warm white? Awful for color correction, TVs, and overall look and feel. Carpet is cheap but helps with sound in the bedrooms. The ceilings are high enough for it to feel roomier. The terrible: the A/C units are underpowered tonnage. This is a common problem among apartments and newer homes. It's Florida, the climate is hotter every year, and cheap builders still use incorrect A/C sizing and bad duct work. Make it make sense. The placement of outlets is a little befuddling, you may not ever have one right where you need it. The blinds are stringed instead of auto adjustment like almost all newer blinds. Not a big deal...but for the rent cost, it's a let-down. Paint used is cheap and will scuff, flake, and rub off should you get anything on them beyond dust. Expect to see it. The granite is hit and miss between units. Some were sealed well, others not so much. Be careful with standing liquids and things that above warm being placed on them. Buy silicone cooking mats for pots and pans, etc. There is no central dehumidifier in these units. Absurd for being in Florida and the only dehumidification is the central A/C. Absolutely ludicrous. Your unit will stay an uncomfortable and mold thriving ~65% humidity unless you run your A/C at 60 or you buy a dehumidifier (I recommend Home labs). You need one. How a new building passes inspection in this humid state without one is beyond me - a failure of modern build code. By the by, inside dwellings should be ~45% humidity. The "good lord run for the hills": the property management company, Asset Living, is a colossal ****-all of nitwits and generally incompetent losers. Do not ever expect anything to happen immediately, timely, or within the legally required time frame. They also sub out to abhorrent 3rd party vendors for your lease requirements, e.g. PetScreening and Rent Securely. These companies exist for no reason other than to data mine you and charge you more fees. The management will charge you fees until the cows come home and then claim to have no ability to adjust your Bilt (another garbage investment company that mines your data but you're forced to use) portal. The shear audacity is enough to put off even the most hardened renters. My significant other and I are still hounding them for our rent overpayment return to the tune of $1,000. It's been 7 months and well beyond the Florida legal requirement of 30 days for security deposit returns. The BBB has been contacted and the corporate headquarters in Houston has been contacted. The next step is filing paperwork if this is not fixed here soon. Look forward to such treatment should you also require any form of rebate, return, or adjustment. read more

To say I played phone tag with this company would be a lie--I and I alone did the vast majority of reaching out to FIND out what was going on---I called and or emailed this place --sometimes multiple times a day at times with no answer or response back but bare minimally....after I submitted an APP FEE and other down payment. Longest story shortened----3 WEEKS WENT BY and I was set to move from my old apartment for urgency purposes that couldn't be helped---and HAD NOTHING finalized and no word back until I emailed 1 last time with the threat of giving me my 275 refunded---at which I was informed that I would not be refunded the full amount back,...just partial. This gets bad vibe like it's a keep a fee scam when folks pull out because of dissatisfaction or need to look elsewhere otherwise. BE VERY LEARY HERE and if you are from out of the immediate local area like I was.......proceed with caution!!!! read more
