I went in yesterday cause I really needed help and they told me I had to pay $200 to be seen even though I have insurance and that the balance would be refunded later. First of all NO, that is not how insurance works. If you want to take insurance then you have to bill insurance the way you're supposed to and wait for the payment from them before you go back and bill me. Second of all, it is not MY fault insurance does not pay in the time frame you deem acceptable. Either accept insurance and all that entails or be a self pay facility. I am appalled at this place and how I as a sick person had to leave without getting seen cause they wanted to swindle me out of $200. This place is a joke and I will make sure everyone knows it. Because I usually just come home and vent like everyone else does but its gotten so regular to be disrespectful every time I go its almost turned into a joke at my household. She's always talking crap and has blatantly and gossip like talked about not being able to take a patients insurance while they were in the bathroom. There has been instances I've been the only one in the waiting room and they "forgot" about me so I received a $5 Starbucks gift card after waiting patiently an hour and a half while my ride was waiting. Ive missed a birth control appointment before (I have the depo shot I get every three months) usually if I miss it I reschedule and have to take a pregnancy test first and the woman that answered sarcastically reminded me she could make me wait a while to be able to reschedule but she was in a good mood that day. I've never been able to understand any of these things but to withhold a teen contraceptives because you can as a power move was so weird to me. I hope you chose some place else to go especially if you are expecting because I don't even feel comfortable to get a shot there without being judged. Hope no one else has to go through this. Finally switching to new clinic.
