Two of us came here last evening to have some food and bowl duckpins. We had enough time to play two games. We got some tater tots and Yuengling beers from the snack bar that were A-OK. I was sad when they started blasting some heavy metal music around 6pm but I have to assume this is part of the culture. We will be back to try to master duckpins. read more

If you're looking to waste your money then this is the place for you. Not only do they not let you finish your frames you paid for they make you buy their nasty tasting pizza which is not worth the money.. I'm a fan because it's duckpin bowling. Also because it's run by a nice (although a little awkward at times) man. Also also, because it's fairly cheap, it's a fun time (when getting those strikes), the music is horribly 'from the past' good, the people are always interesting, and you can typically get lanes no prob. If you're not into the Dundalk-esque crowd or style, don't bother. You should probably find a more upscale duckpin alley. Or you should just skip duck-pinning. read more

Great place to take the kids for an afternoon of Duckpin bowling. I found everything to be very clean and well maintained. I have only one complaint, which I think is more than valid and preventing a 5 star rating, it is the $5.00 charge for putting the bumpers up on the lane. As a long time bowler and a league bowler, and now a Duckpin bowler, I'm no stranger to bowling alleys. I have NEVER heard of anyone charging to put the bumpers on a lane when kids are bowling. This seems like a bit of a scam if you ask me, considering I've also been to Stoneleigh lanes, no charge for bumpers. AMF Towson, no charge for bumpers, and Patterson bowling, no charge for bumpers. I've been to bowling alleys from Baltimore to New York, and even points to the West - NO CHARGE FOR BUMPERS. Really, it's ridiculous. read more

I love that Parkville Bowling Lanes has been around for forever! My grandfather used to bowl here. It's duck pin so that's a great change of pace when you get tired of the standard 10-pin. The place itself is still quite outdated, and Parkville is becoming not as nice as area. But it's still fun nonetheless! What more do you want from a bowling alley besides fun? read more

Duckpin is weirdo small ball bowling. Kinda fun though. Clean lanes- not cheap though for balls that small :). Discount per ball size????

I've been here three times. Twice for parties and once with friends and our kids. Bowling is fine. My kids are little and don't care about keeping score. The balls seem to get stuck a lot but that could be because the kids are messing with them? The pizza is like 1 star- lay off the oregano or whatever is on there, please! But I'm not sure that I should expect gourmet pizza from a Bmore bowling alley either. Shoes are fine, place and bathrooms are clean. It's outdated but aren't all bowling alleys? read more

Great fun! A nice set of duckpin lanes, friendly staff and plenty of space. If you haven't tried duckpins, this is a Baltimore-must-experience. Duckpins are a blast, fun, easy for everyone to play and still challenging to score high. Set in a strip mall gives it plenty of parking, definitely cool as an anti-hipster destination. We recently had a staff party here and it was easy to reserve several lanes. Family friendly. Greasy pizza and deep-fried appetizers at the grill. Cheap beer. What more could you want? read more

This was our first time duckpin bowling. We had no idea how to play because while my husband was given a printout of the rules, he didn't see it until after we finished. However, the people in the next lane overheard us trying to figure out how to play and one of them hopped over to teach us; +1 for the friendly people who frequent this place. Extra points because the crowd here also seems family-friendly, not wasted like the people who go to the bowling alleys in the area where I'm from. The facility is a bit old, but I suppose that is to be expected... That guy said duckpin bowling used to be popular in the area, but is dying out now, though his entire family each belonged to multiple leagues. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the neighborhood was not too bad. We practice wing chun down the street from this place, and that stretch is kind of ghetto; I've been approached by sketchy-looking people in sketchy-seeming ways. This place, however, is located in a well-lit and reasonably populated plaza, so it's not as scary. I'm trying to make my husband come again because the ball is actually small enough for me to handle, unlike regular bowling balls. read more

My daughter bowls for a league there. It's $35 a month which is fairly expensive. They charge you $1.50 if you can't make it. The lanes are very uneven and old. Food overpriced and stale. However, The instructors are very nice and my child has fun. The staff is always polite and friendly. read more

Had a great time. Old school duckpin bowling took me back to my childhood. I live in California so duckpin not an option. Kids had a blast and 4 year old won first game without bumpers. Just an all around good time. Take the time to call and see their specials. One day I paid 10 bucks then today I paid 42. Can't beat the the fun of chucking a little ball down the lane. Definitely a good time if you are in the Parkville, MD area. Owners are great and atmosphere is wonderful. Not high tech so make sure you read up on scoring rules if you are use to 10 pin bowling. read more

I took my daughter and my nephew bowling for the first time in many years. I figured I would go here because it is very close to my house. let's just say that this place needs a lot of updating. It seems that the money that they make they do not invest back into this place. Awesome experience at rock-n-bowl from 9:40pm-12am you get to bowl for $14 and free juke box plays. Pizza was yummy amd the beer too

Love this place for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and friendly staff. I also love that most of the patrons are respectful, too - not the drunk yuppie crowd that frequents other lanes. The snackbar is good, the beer is cold, and the bowling rates are reasonable (per game, not timed). Plus, the equipment is pretty reliable. read more

we are a group of senior men that have just started going to the alley since our softball season is over, we started with 3 bowlers and now are up to 12 bowlers (including now 2 ladies) .. the alleys are clean and well taken care of, yes the balls sometimes stick, and the pins fall over when the rack is not perfect but as old guys we sometimes stick and fall over so I don't see it as a problem. the scoring is done manually like in da ole days but who cares ... its fun, relaxing, something to do and treated respectfully by the friendly staff. read more

It's a really good cheap place to be. If I'm not mistaken I think they only do duck pins so if you have kids this is the place to be.
