I was excited to see primitives and fine antiques throughout the shop. The antiques are well displayed and the shop is pristine. They carry everything from furniture to tools, with some items museum quality. The clerk was welcoming and friendly, but let us wonder at our own pace. She answered a few questions I had about the antiques and shop. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I recommend a visit. Plan about an hour or less. There is free street parking.

My stylist moved her salon to another city so I had to try something new and heard good things…read moreabout Studio 31 so I decided to give it a try. The stylist recommended was JB. She was not familiar with my hair and applied color that unfortunately turned my roots very brassy. I went back a week later thinking we could apply a toner and it would tone down the red. Instead of applying toner she applied a very dark color to just the roots and the end result was worse. Honestly I am not as upset about the bad result as I am the way I was treated by the stylist. After she applied the color she instructed her assistant to wash, condition and get me out of the salon, then paused to say "make sure she isn't dripping when she leaves." I was stunned when the assistant towel dried my long, thick, curly hair and was about to send me out without brushing my wet hair as directed by the stylist. The assistant was able to pick up on my dissatisfaction and asked me if I would like for her to brush my hair before leaving the salon. The stylist never came back and checked the color or even asked if I was satisfied with the results! I spent about $250 and my hair looks worse than it did before I walked in the first day! I would not recommend this stylist, I think she needs to do better in the way she is treating her clients!

It's also a great place for mullet watching! If you happen to show up on the wrong day there might be a craft show which isn't too exciting, or a cattle auction (which is pretty interesting) or sometimes a straight up rodeo is going down. Just make sure you check the schedule on the website before you head down there. It's a hoop hollerin good time and I'll have a booth open there next month so come visit! One tip: Make sure to park within the fenced in area or your gas tank will get siphoned empty.
