Dr. Arun made the time today to see me on very short notice as a follow-up recommendation from Urgent Care to see Ophthalmology. Although Dr. Arun wasn't the on-call physician today, she saw me early. I am so grateful to her. Additionally, she alleviated my pain and suffering that I had after my Urgent Care visit. Dr. Arun patiently explained to me how the process works for my path going forward. She is such an exceptional doctor. I am very glad she accepted me today. Dr. Arun prescribed the correct Rx. Dr. Arun correctly diagnosed my condition. I implicitly trust her with one of the most vital organs - our eyes. What a brilliant ophthalmologist she is - and caring, too. Love this doctor. And last minute cancellations and no one is covering them. The ADA parking is out of code with the federal and state mandates. So if that is something you need, plan for extra time to find a reasonable parking spot, bring a driver or use a ride share. Parking is atrocious for anyone needing ADA parking. This used to be the premiere health care, or at least second. And they are consistently slipping from that. The level of customer service at the front desk, the amount of time the doctors actually spend with you, makes me wonder if they have switched to a for profit healthcare system. Not horrible. Better than healthcare say in Alabama. But. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I called them a week after the visit and explained the lab results are in which they have been provided as well. I asked for them to call in my cholesterol meds. They said I needed another appt. Guess what. That appt is 6 weeks away. I called back multiple times and even went into their office to explain I just need to r medication and will keep the appt but need something to help lower my cholesterol over the next 6 weeks. Guess what, they said sorry. You need to have an office visit for that. This makes zero sense. If I could give them -5 stars I would. They are in it for the money, not your health. Change providers immediately. This review is done in August, guess what, they only have nurse practitioners in the office until JANUARY!!! No doctors are even in the office until JANUARY!!!

I can literally tell you what they will diagnose you with, and what they will prescribe you, if you will simply tell me your symptoms. It's that bad. We were having a casual conversation, until suddenly, the doctors personality switched on me, as if she, herself, had borderline personality disorder, which used to be known as multiple personalities. This woman talked to me as if I were a dog, until I sat up off the table, and I looked at her, eye to eye, to remind her that I was a human being. She had a totally flat affect. There wasn't a tear to be found. It was just the same old, "well I'm sorry you feel that way." No; you are not. I've been doing this for years. I did this professionally, long before I dealt with people like her, personally. I'm happy to continue to put the rest of it out here. Neighborhood Healthcare, you are not God. You can smear my name all over San Diego County. I do not care. Your entire clinic can insinuate that it is me, but I have nothing but time and the plethora of data to prove that you missed diagnosed me on multiple occasions. I can show the ways in which you Gaslite me and which doctors did so. And no matter what you tell me, I've been told that I was wrong by a multitude of, "elite specialists, physicians, and clinicians," and I've been right about every diagnosis that your clinic has missed thus far. Many of them very detrimental, like ankylosing spondylosis and psoriatic arthritis. Or how about a painfully sickening allergic reaction to a medication prescribed by Dr. Margaret Chen in Escondido at Neighborhood Healthcare? My allergist had to figure out what I was allergic to, because the doctor prescribing the medication to me, acted completely clueless. Dr. Margaret Chen, told me it was just purple veins in my legs. How insightful. I'm really glad my allergist figured it out, prior to those internal blisters reaching my thighs. How about Dr. Gabriel Becerra humiliating me, and standing over me, in his clinic with no one else in there except me and him. He came from around his desk, standing over me, and, pointing down at me, as he also barked orders at me. He wanted to argue with me about which medications I "was going to take" in which ones I knew I should not take, and that I had taken before. He felt he knew better than I, and yet he might be a psychiatrist...he has never lived in my skin. And I, "doctor,", do have some insight into my own health care needs. You, are also not a dictator. I you are a doctor. How about Laura Caloca, PhD? She tried to get me to meditate and practice mindfulness over the matter of ankylosing spondylosis, which every single clinician at Neighborhood Healthcare Escondido, tried to talk me out of having. Not one of you believed me when I told you something was seriously wrong. I went through surgery after surgery, and I continue to, without the assistance of a decent PCP or therapist.

I will say one thing: if you have to be a patient, Sharp Rees Stealy Urgent Care in Rancho Bernardo provides absolutely outstanding care. I was having an irregular heart rhythm with palpitations, shortness of breath and dizziness. I was able to document an arrhythmia several times on my Apple Watch, send it to my computer and print it out to bring to urgent care. The sign in process was quick. The front office staff were friendly and courteous. A Registered Nurse (RN) promptly brought me back to the treatment area. She obtained a very thorough history, checked my vital signs and did an EKG. She was efficient, but very reassuring and personable. Thank you Nancy. The physician was in to see and examine me very quickly. Dr. Lovell was professional, thorough and kind. I didn't want to waste their time and, as a nurse practitioner, was a bit embarrassed to be there! The physician and RN put me at ease, reviewed the records I provided them, and completed a thorough work up. Labs, repeat EKG (which caught the rhythm irregularities) and, Dr Lovell spoke to the cardiologist on call to review my case. Both Dr. Lovell and the RN, Nancy, checked on me in the exam room frequently during my stay at the Urgent Care. Now tell me: Haven't you heard enough? I am a 71 year old nurse practitioner with over 40 years of experience in healthcare. I highly recommend Sharp Rees Stealy for not only Urgent Care but for all of your Healthcare needs. Once inside they didn't look busy and seemed to talk a lot. It took a long time to be seen. The nurse that took my vitals was nice. The only thing that I didn't like was not being updated on what was going on. I had to get the nurse to find out when I could get dressed and leave. The X-ray technician was kind, but he had to take several X-rays which I didn't like. He couldn't get the right angle. I'll probably be glowing in the dark later. The bathroom was not clean. It had piss on the floor and toilet. I don't like seeing nurses/doctors/clerks eating in public. That should be kept to your lunchtime or eating areas. Would I go to this facility again? Mine was also a routine annual visit for the first time with them and they used CPT 99203 code, From my understanding, is typically used for a problem-focused new patient visit involving low-complexity medical decision-making. However, my appointment was scheduled and conducted as a preventive annual check-up, and I did not seek care for any specific medical concerns. I am following up with them lets see how it goes. Update- I called the billing department, waited 30 min to get connected, finally chose the option to call back. Its been 3 days to hear back from them. Update - still awaiting for their review. I am not going to continue with Scripts. Terrible experience. I never had to deal with these type of issues with my previous providers. Cancelled my labs as I got to know Dr. Veronica has added some tests (not sure why??) which are not covered my insurance not needed.
