It's been a long time since I've been here. I had to come back and try it. They have one of the freshest & most authentic American styled burgers. Made fresh with all natural beef. You can tell it's real meat when you don't get bloated after you eat. The people running it are very nice. Kinda pricey came out $60 for 5 burgers with fries. But it's worth it. Super clean place. Everyone's wearing masks which says a lot about the establishment. Love it. I wish they had on the air condition on, it was pretty humid in there. read more

I do love Parky's! This is a no-frills hot dog and burger place. But it's been around forever and for good reason. The food here is good, fast and cheap. Add to that, the staff is super friendly. If you need something customized, just ask. No indoor dining, at least not right now, but a few tables outside makes a nice place to sit in good weather. Give Parky's a try and I don't think you'll be unhappy. Just don't expect 3 Michelin Star dining. read more

THANK GOD. Grew up going to the Berwyn location (gone now). Thank God every day the Oak Park location is there. Whenever I'm near Berwyn and need a meal, this is the place to go. I ordered the combo & fries, minus the drink. The lady at the window was nice. Got it home & it was still fresh & hot. The fries seemed refried & old. The sausage in the combo had a bad flavor. Been wanting to try this place for a while. I finally got some friends to join me and we tried it tonight. I got the bacon wrapped cheese dog, cause I just had to. I had them cut into thirds to share with my friends so I wouldn't feel bad about getting a hot dog and fry meal. Wish I just got the bacon cheese dog! It was deep fried perfection. Oh so good. I should of asked for the beef hot dog tho cause I wasn't impressed with their regular dog. It was good but not out of this world good as I had hyped them in my mind. I actually like my dog to snap and this was kind of like the stuff my dad gets on sale and boiled when we were kids. Everything is fresh tho so they're all right! Fries were decent especially when smothered with ketchup. The girl and guy manning the joint were very pleasant and helpful. First off this place is OVERPRICED! Maybe that's why they don't have actual prices listed on the menu boards. I ordered a chili cheese hot dog and a combo Italian beef and sausage. Totaled $14 (no fries, no drinks, just sandwiches). Didn't get a receipt with my change. Got home and one of the sandwiches was made wrong. Had to request a refund for it and the original receipt. This is what I got.... And had the nerve to say it should've been $18‍ never would I ever pay almost $20 for two mediocre sandwiches with no drinks or fries. First and last time. read more

Drove all the way to Chicago to visit family stopped at Parky's since we love it and never get it and we were treated so horrifically that we've chosen never to eat there again got a refund on our money the lady yelled at us swore at us and made us feel absolutely horrible she should be fired. Number one reason I love this place - the fries! Everybody else likes crispy fries but I'm that odd duck who loves a flabby fry! Oh they come out of the fryer crispy. But you get a nice quantity and once they finish salting and getting their ketchup on that goes away soon enough. I'm a basic eater for junk food. Gimme that cheeseburger or the hot dog or a juicy polish! But these days, past the days of golden youth (I'm 60) I tend to like things like the beef and sausage combo. But not from here. The au jus is better at Buona Beef or Johnnie's (where they char grill the sausage) over on North Avenue. The sandwich tends to taste kinda blah from here. That's a shame cause then you'd miss THE FRIES! Seriously- get those fries, which they pack separately from the sandwich, and ask for salt and ketchup. I've been coming to Parky's since childhood and I can confidently say that these are THE BEST hotdogs and fries in the Chicagoland area. Always worth the drive from the near north side of Chicago. My recent visit since their reopening (after having to close to repair damage from a car crashing into their lobby.) was nothing short of excellent! Their hotdogs themselves are a blend of pork and beef and taste better than what you typically find elsewhere. It's like they're steamed into the bun with just the right amount of fresh and flavorful toppings: mustard, relish, tomatoes and sport peppers. (I skip the onions but I know many love this addition as well). The fries are made from freshly cut potatoes and are equally as crave-able and satisfying. Parky's knows best! After all, they've been doing this since 1946! I love this gem of an eatery and I'm so happy that they haven't changed a bit since my very first visit. read more
