A happy pic after a good Chili cheese dog
    Charles I.

Great Chili cheese dog (Cheddar cheese that is) and fries! Had the Route 66 cream ale soda. The steamed bun was a nice bonus.

Henry's Drive-In has been around since the '50s, and they are known for their hot dogs, sandwiches, shakes, and slushies. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Cheddar Cubes - comes with 12 pieces +a Chicago dog +a Chili dog +and, an Oreo shake Both the dogs were fine, and the side of fries were just okay. The shake was pretty thick and tasty, so that was definitely the highlight of the meal. Staff were no-nonsense - you just place and pay for your orders at the window, and pick the readied items when they call you from the other window. There's a handful of seating inside, and there's parking in their private lot. +tasty shakes +small lot for parking

supposed to be a chilly cheese dog

i haven't been in this place in like 10 years and now i remember why i pay 30 dollars for two regular dogs and two sad chilly dogs and i probably never go back again. i leve a few blocks away but i rather go a bit more further away i do not recommend this place

For those that know Route 66 will know Henry's and it's south side connection. Pulling up you notice how well maintained it is. Service was fun, kind and respectful. Does remind me of the drive in stops of yester-year...Ambiance was what one expects from a great hot dog spot. Placed my order for a hot dog no fries (have to eat healthy ). Was quick and packaged with napkins, so did not need to ask for anything. Served Chicago style! Had a great snap to my bites. Definitely going to come back and try all the other delicacies! Mangia & Cheers!

They don't seem to know what goes on a Chicago Style Hot Dog. No relish?!?! No celery salt?!?! So disappointing.

Great spot for a quick meal. I would recommend the mozzarella sticks with the red sauce as an appetizer.

This is my first time trying Nikki's and I was actually suprised at the Italian beef. It was not bland compared to Al's Beef or Portillo's but at the same time it was not too salty. I like that they use steak fries. Very chunky. As for the choice of a drink for the meal for $12.99 they had horchatas as well as Jamaican juice and mango or the regular soda fountain drinks. I would have given them four stars for my experience but after seeing that they don't have a bathroom to wash your hands. Service was ok. Ambience was like a hole in the wall or very local which is good. I would come back but next time would like to try their burgers or their barbecue rib tips. I do recommend for such food.

Perfect menu, ridiculously large and well made deli sandwiches and a store full of Italian food staples and bakery items! Couple of minor downsides to be aware of - no indoor seating and somewhat limited outdoor / shaded area. Also, I had The Roc sandwich, wasn't cut all through and the crappy plastic knife broke while trying to slice. Great problem to have, the sandwiches are pretty large but pretty basic to give you a good cut. In fact, in reviewing my pics the cutting procedure took so much focus after unwrapping my sandwich, I quit taking pics! Haha All minor stuff, this is a great spot for lunch... highly recommend!

ONE LAST NUGGET…read more Always double-check your bag from Wendy's, in case there's a surprise nuggie at the bottom. It didn't take long after starting my new job to find the nearest distributor of chocolate Frosties. I hit up this location in Garfield Ridge for lunch every other week and the experiences have been generally pleasant, even though once they forgot a straw and on a separate visit they gave me no sauce :( You're greeted with a quartet of self-order kiosks when you walk in, but you can still place an order with a human being. I like the counter area they have by the windows facing Archer Ave. No ketchup pumps, which makes me think their condiments are behind the counter under lock & key. I recently tried the ghost pepper ranch chicken sandwich ($11 for a combo) and to their credit, it was pretty damn hot. Halfway through eating, I started seeing little horizontal lines which made me wonder if I was hallucinating or just needed new contacts. I made ample use of their Coke freestyle machine, regardless. Saucy nuggs are great, you can get them standalone or as part of a 10pc combo ($10)--I recommend the spicy honey bbq, garlic parm, and buffalo. The $5 Biggie Bag is still the best deal in town, a Jr bacon cheese with fries, 4pc nuggets and drink for a crazy low price. * TL;DR * This is a solid Wendy's with a clean dining room and quick drive-thru. I've tried to avoid going out to lunch more than once a week, and when I do, I usually only drop $5.54 (the exact cost of a Biggie Bag + tax). You can find some nice deals online, like a free 10pc nuggets when you sign up for Wendy's rewards, or $2 off a premium combo. Tip: trying to turn left onto Archer is tricky, and though you could get lucky with the flow of cars, you're much better off exiting onto Laramie and using the traffic signal.

HEATING UP Burger…read moreKing's got a few seasonal items that'll keep you warm in the wintery cold. This BK can be found on Central Ave in Chicago a few blocks south of I-55. I usually stop here after getting gas next door but rarely seek it out otherwise. Once in a while, they'll put up themed menu items like the purple Whopper tie-in with The Addams Family. The $5 "your way" meal comes with a 5pc nuggets, small fry, tiny drink, and choice of Jr Whopper or chicken sammy. I still love their crispy tacos ($1.39/ea) but there's no option to add jalapenos when ordering off the web. Some special deals are online exclusives. BK's fries are garbage, in my opinion the worst of any fast food place. No amount of bbq or honey mustard can save them. Their chicken fries, on the other hand, are quite tasty; the fiery 8pc chicken fries ($4) are spicy and worth trying, especially when dipped in ranch. They have a Coca Cola freestyle drink machine inside. Employees are always nice and that helps to smooth out any rough spots like forgetting sauce with my last order. I've seen staffers cleaning the parking lot area of rubbish, so they're clearly invested in maintaining the grounds. Entering and exiting the drive-thru is a bit tight. * TL;DR * Another day, another BK. I'm not ashamed to admit this is a filler review. Hey, they can't all be fancy dinners and swanky hotels. Sometimes you've gotta slum it in order to hit a '10 reviews a month' target you set for yourself (my lone New Years' resolution--to write more). Take it or leave it, but you could do a whole lot worse than this Burger King.
