The music playing was freestyle and it didn't stop. The bartender was also a cool guy. He joked and laughed with patron on the place. I could see myself hanging out there if I wasn't in the mood to go home right away. Only one bad thing was the prices on the liquor were steep. I don't drink, but the person I was with did. Lucky they take credit card ($15 minimum) because I really never carry cash. But at the end of the day it was fun. I could give it another shot in the future.

I have been buying 5 liter boxes of wine at this store for more than 10 years. Last week I bought…read morea box of Peter Vella "Delicious Blush" which tasted horrible, as if it had oxidized. This was the first time I've ever had an issue with any box wine, Vella or otherwise. In attempting to return the box for an exchange, I was was dismissively told by the man behind the counter that he absolutely could not take back any product that had "been opened". My reply was, of course, how would I know that the wine was way off unless I tasted it, which indeed does require one to open it. I mentioned that it would seem likely that his Peter Vella rep would credit him for that one box if he were it taste it, but the man remained adamant in his refusal to allow me an exchange. I will admit that things got more than a bit testy at that point for the 30 seconds or so that I remained in the store (btw..there were no other customers in the store at that moment) as the guy shoved the box and receipt that I had provided toward me only to have me shove them right back at him while declaring what I thought that he should do with them, or, more accurately, where I thought he could shove them. I called Peter Vella coporate offices almost immediately and was treated with courtesy and respect. After hearing what had just occured I was told that they would send me a voucher of some sort that would entitle me to box of wine, on them. Very fair outcome for what was a quite unfortunate experience with Ace Liquors, who needless to say will never see another dime in business from me.
