Though I feel there are too many from some places and not enough from others. that is why its my number 2. The prices here are more than reasonable, in fact I feel that they are better here than most other stores on Long Island. Last year I attended their grand wine tasting and it was a great experience. If they had not done it I would not have found bought as many wines from them then.. I had a few disappointing experiences at other wine stores and the tasting they hosted helped me learn what I liked and why I liked it. While a large wine and liquor store I used to go to in Deer Park on DPA (i will not name it) used to be good they now only push the products on their customers that have the highest markup. Lake Liquor does not do that. I appreciate their honesty and their "shelf talkers-review notes" are always helpful. Stop on by on a Friday after work and do a wine tasting or go to their grand tasting event here. You will not be disappointed.

You'll find a nice inventory on Whites, Reds, Ros`es, and Sparkling Wines. They even carry some local brands which I've never even heard of before. I also appreciate their large assortment of Puerto Rican Rums and Domestic Whiskeys. Conveniently situated in the same Shopping Center as Uncle Giuseppe's Market with plenty of other great stores around nearby. I've been using them for delivery to the Fire Island Ferries this summer, which is free over $100 I believe (they deliver to both Bay Shore and Sayville). They post price lists on their website for a lot of their items which is helpful to plan what you want to order, and ordering can be done via phone or email. The deliveries have always been on time and staff is very responsive (shout-out to Michele!) in keeping me updated on the order. Staff has also been helpful with making recommendations.

His knowledge of wines is unparalleled, and he is also willing to order products that he does not have in the store. He is never pushy, and does not push you into anything that does not fit your budget. I've read some of the negative reviews. I am not a wine expert, and I don't buy expensive wine, but I love this place. What is interpreted as "condescending" is actually his sense of humor. My wife and I sometimes spend close to an hour in the store, just talking and laughing with Christophe. He also has a small selection of liquor, and he is willing to stock the items that we like. Truly great service. Those with a negative review might want to consider giving it another chance.

This one is owned and operated by a very friendly Korean couple albeit they can only speak about 5 English words between the two of them. Only in America kids! Their inventory is pretty decent including all the big commercial names in the wine industry. Don't expect to find any rare Bordeaux wine here. Prices are a little steep too, but they tend to stay open an hour later than the aforementioned big guys. Liquor store. Tis…read morethe season and I find myself visiting liquor stores all over the place in order to pick up last minute items or bottles to bring to dinners and such. I happened to be in the CVS across the street and saw this out of the corner of my eye so figured I would just hit it up in order to avoid driving down the road to my usual booze retailer. Small mom and pop place in the corner of a small shopping center, it is easy to miss this location. The owners appear to be a husband and wife and apparently do not have a working heater or just decided to make the entire store into a wine cellar and keep the place at 55 degrees... the wife is wearing a parka and gloves and you will too if you spend more than 10 minutes in there. The selection was decent for such a small place - more wine than I expected and all the usual booze essentials - plus a good selection of those little airline sized nips for your alcoholic cousin or uncle to carry around with them. Prices were a little higher than the big liquor outlets but that is too be expected - so really turn the damn heat on and maybe I would have spent more time in there looking for stuff - but I got out in record time as I did not bring my extreme weather gear nor was I looking to experience shrinkage.
