Monte Nido Treating Eating Disorder

I spent 4 days at Monte Nido Roxbury Mills in 05/2021. I had a fall down the steps there…read more Residents/staff on the floor above and below heard it. I have a history of post-concussion syndrome, of which they were informed. I have worked in health care. I was on a fall prevention plan AND signed care plan with a fall prevention goal, nothing was addressed except "be careful". I know fall prevention protocols/procedures for after falls. After my fall, I had to walk down the next staircase myself, though I was not stable. I was stumbling since the day I got there, which was observed by staff, and nothing done. I got hospital socks only after the fall and I had to ask for them. I went to the nurse for daily vitals and weight. I told her about my fall. She did nothing. She did not do a body check; she did not ask me about pain and let me walk away unattended. She did take my blood pressure sitting and standing. I cannot remember the readings exactly, but I was orthostatic. It was around 160/85 sitting and around 105/65 standing. Nothing done. I spoke to another nurse who gave me meds later that day. I told her. Nothing done and no questions asked. I cannot recall if I fell the same day I left. It was blurry from there. However, I do recall being told I was acting erratic. I was accused of using PCP. I did test positive; however, a med that I am on can give false positives for PCP. It happened before for an employer drug test. If you look it up online, you see peer reviewed articles concluding that false positives for PCP occur frequently with this medication. My employer knew enough to investigate this. I was hired. It is not my job to know this but I informed a doctor, a nurse and the director about this fact. Instead of doing simple research for information they should already know, they accused me of abusing this drug. They spoke to my mother, and I did not give my consent for any info about me to be shared with her. They gave her and my husband false information. I do not have a relationship with my mother, which was caused by Monte Nido. My husband knew I did not use PCP and came to get me. He took notes of his conversation with the staff. He has direct quotes written of the lies they told him. I was unable to get into another facility because we paid our savings to Monte Nido. I was forced to go to a lower level of care than was appropriate for me because of this. There was a wait to get into all programs in the tri-state area. I waited three weeks before re-entering treatment. I was unable to return to work for those times because I was unable to drive or use screens. We lost our money to Monte Nido and three weeks of pay that I could have made. I still suffer from relatively severe headaches and intermittent blurry vision. It has improved, but still causes me issues during routine activities of daily living. I have been working on this review for over a week and it would have take in five minutes prior to all of this happening. We are in the process of speaking with our lawyers because instead of leaving better, I left in much worse shape than I went in.
