We came here today, GPS brought us right to the front entrance. There is free parking on the street but also inside the park for $20pesos (about a dollar+). We visited the rides area, there is a bunch of little food shops and the prices are excellent. We also checked out the zoo, reminder: there is no charge to get in, the animals in the zoo seemed ok, it was not hot today so I bet they were loving it. They have a butterfly section but it was closed so we couldn't check it out. They have lots of animals and is pretty clean and impressive for being a free attraction. There is a little train $10pesos adults and $3 for the little ones. There are plenty of bathrooms around (toilet paper is provided with donation). There were some balloons that kids got into and then got pushed and rolled down a hill for $30 pesos. My kiddo loved it! There are plenty of grass areas. There were lots of families having fun, eating, playing soccer, taking pictures etc. There is also an ice skating rink now and it will apparently stay in all year long. It's a pretty big size ring and is $75pesos for 50mins. They had decorations for Christmas and once we were inside the rink we forgot we were in TJ Overall this place is awesome, is perfect for families to spend Sunday's without spending too much $ and for possibly keeping teens off the streets making trouble. I was down visiting my sponsor children and rue townspeople we love so much in Cartonlandia. One day while visiting, we went to eat, to visit a pinateria and to go to the zoo. Parque Morelos has various animals from tigers and bears and snakes to deer, a camel and pigs. They also have a carnival inside the park and many food stands. They also have a face painter who painted the cutest unicorn on my sponsor child's face. We had a great time and I would definitely come back! The only payment we had to make was 20 pesos to enter and park with no additional fees to enter the zoo itself. read more

Recently came to el Parque Morelos. My kids love it here. So much food and activities. Mind you this is in Mexico and the food is inexpensive as it is. We went on the rides $20-$25 pesos each. We had some hotdogs $15 each and icecream $10-$15 pesos each. This is fun in a budget. The boats are $35 pesos for 3 people, wow who can beat that. The painting side is packed but if you squeeze in you can get a table. You buy the clay item and the paint os free. Park is very clean. It also includes a free zoo and zip lining. Parque Morelos. This free zoo was established by a politician to "showcase native animals of Mexico" in 2007. Since then, over 70 animals have died due to lack of care. Park vendors and employees have tried to call attention to horrific conditions but of course no action has been taken. Sick animals do not get the care they need. In fact, we didn't see a single employee. The issue isn't just sad excuses for habitats and lack of care. The true issue lies with us holding them captive for humans to benefit from. Kids screaming at them, taunting them to move and some even being ridden are all exploitation. They deserve to be in their real natural habitat not showcased because some politician has an archaic dominance trait that makes him think he has control over exotic animals. read more

Great park with an awesome atmosphere. The park a short drive from the Zona Rio area, about 15 minutes with light traffic. It features vast open spaces with multiple recreational activities for people of all ages to enjoy. As soon as one enters through the main parking lot, one encounters several animals to look at. I saw Impalas, Pigs, Horses, Chickens, and others. There is also several small amusement attractions for children to enjoy like a Carousel, Spinning Chairs, and others. The park also features a variety of vendors who sell snacks, foods, drinks, beer, and many others. Rentals are also available throughout the park like Go-Karts and Bicycles. My favorite activity was the golf carts. These were fairly inexpensive as of the date of my visit (March 2022). One dollar per lap. This is truly a great park for anyone to enjoy! read more

Nice big park in tj with a zoo, play areas for kids, ducks to feed at the pond, food vendors. The zoo is free surprisingly. Just pay 20 pesos for parking and you get to enjoy the zoo. Some of the play areas cost money for the kids to play. Felt bad for the animals in the cages of course. I hope they are being taken cared of. The day I went there was a dinosaur exhibit. So I guess they do things like that on the weekends. I've also been to a concert here at night. Saw j Balvin perform so the park is a multi use facility. Pleasantly surprised by this park and zoo! I expected more of a peering zoo because it's free to the public. Though small, this zoo boasts 3 Bengal tigers (one of which is white!) and 2 beautiful black bears. One of the tigers was discovered after it fell from a third floor apartment patio! The animals looked well fed! The tigers were sleepy. We paid 10 pesos for some carrots to feed to deer, pig and llama! The remainder of the park was hosting children's parties at different kiosks. It was a great walk. A great oasis in a huge busy city! read more

Excellent experience very inexpensive. Wonderful exhibits and hands on for kids. The craft tables and the water exhibits they has a special planiteeium exhibit . We didn't get the chance to experience it. Next time we will. They have a cafeteria and kids party. They have live lizards and turtles read more

Parque Morelos gets 3 stars because it's a lovely place for locals and so vibrant on a Sunday afternoon parking is very cheap it's free for the zoo, playgrounds and gardens. I'm so glad I checked this place out! I personally would totally go again. However I'd say for most tourists and safety conscious tourists in particular, it is very "local" -broken playground equipment, dirt, trash everywhere and the animals and animal treatment by locals is not what you might be ready for. But if you want off the gringo beaten path and to enjoy the city like a local - dive in, immerse yourself and be open. read more

Has a little bit of everything... with 3 young children we did not explore the whole area. Did not like: The zoo, some (most) of the animals seemed stressed while pacing or trying to hide. One of the bathrooms were locked and my child had to go to the restroom. I wanted to venture down to TJ with my partner and explore some of the greener parts of the smog choked city. This place was a real gem. Seems to me like all the locals love this place and who wouldn't. It's a place with trees and LOTS of them. Enough grassy areas to lay down with your boyfriend or girlfriend and make out (though signs at the entrance remind you to keep it classy, cuz it is after all, a family park). There's also a picnic area, a paintball zone, a desert garden, an "oriental garden" which most definitely needs more funding to really accurate depict Chinese or Japanese gardens. (Also the term "oriental" is hella racial and old school but maybe I'm being too PC). Anyways you'll love this park for this one reason and this reason is enough: the FREE ZOO! It's absolutely cool to see all the exotic animals including porcupines, bears, Hawks, snakes, Tigers, ligers, and other awesome creatures. The animal keepers were even awesome enough to answer all my questions. Definitely come by and check this place out if you're ever in Tijuana. Oh and grab some cheap snacks too including some BOMB fruta con chile y limon. read more
