Visited this coffeeshop for the first time. Beautiful coffeeshop with variety of coffee, and pastries. This coffeeshop also has really friendly staff. There are also variety of books and cards that are available for purchase. What I did not like it was how overly religious the content most the books and cards appeared while browsing through the store. Yet another coffee shop I decided to check out while in the area. It's a really cute coffee shop for those who want to spend some time reading or meeting up with a few folks to catch up. It has seating up front, and then the further back you go you get to the bookshop. I noticed mostly biblical books and I think maybe other genres were further back. I didn't realize it was a religious book store until we got into the place. I came here for the tea and the gf muffins I saw on the menu. I ordered a chai with almond milk, tasted more cinnamon then anything, but it was ok. I also got the gluten free/vegan cinnamon swirl muffin. Let's just say it tasted very vegan a little tough to eat as it didn't have that spongy feel to it. My mom grabbed a cinnamon roll and she said it tasted really good. The people here were nice and it didn't take long before my drink and food were ready. They have a lot of seating inside as well as some seating outside too. And if you're looking for a new Bible, they have rows of them to chose from. read more

I was gifted a gift card by a friend and finally came out to Frisco to redeem it. This place is super cute, and very large, and busy! It's basically a Christian based bookstore with a cute coffee shop. The staff was terrific; books were a tad pricey and the coffee was decent. Definitely a cool place to just come see. read more

The Book Shoppe &Coffee has to be one of the most beautiful coffee and book shops I've ever been to in my life. It was a sunny, but bitterly cold winter afternoon and we had been out shopping in Frisco and I wanted something to warm me up and happened to notice this old world European looking building on the corner of Lebanon and Parkwood Dr so I told my husband that we needed to stop and check it out. When you step inside, there is a beautiful, red coffee roaster to the right behind the checkout counter and when you step in a little further you are greeted by a roaring fire burning inside a large, stone fireplace. The bookstore inside boasts many shelves of inspirational, Christian books, devotionals, study guides and many other gifts and then, of course, the coffee bar is a little further in as well. It was late in the day and I didn't want anything caffeinated so I ordered a chai latte with almond milk. It was perfectly hot enough to warm me up and had beautiful notes of cardamom, ginger and a hit of white pepper at the end. There are many different seating areas but I was just walking around and admiring the vast beams along the ceilings, the gorgeous millwork and carpentry and they even have a library ladder for reaching items in the higher shelves. The woodwork is absolutely gorgeous and I only wish that I lived closer so that I can visit more frequently and spend more time at this beautiful shop. read more

I admire the artistic vision and beauty of this bookstore/coffee shop. The interior design truly gives it an appealing old world flair. I stopped here as a drive-by because I could see from the outside that it's a unique place and it was. However, it's a Christian bookstore that doesn't stock any secular books. I'm not interested in Christian books, and I would have expected some indication of that somewhere before walking inside. I felt it was intentionally disingenuous to draw non-religious people in. It left a bitter taste in my mouth while walking out of this incredibly beautiful store. Note, the majority of the store is books with less space devoted to coffee shop seating. read more

First off this is a place SUPER not for me. It's basically Bible Starbucks. The food options are very limited and it's premade fair. However it had taste to it as in I could taste that it was food. Their saving grace was the coffee. The snowman latte was great for the winter season. But the book selection is all Christian based and I felt like I was sinning just sitting there not thinking about Jesus I was kind of uncomfortable. If that is you think than by all means check out this cozy little place. How nice it is to have your favorite drink in one hand and your favorite book in the other! This is what you may experience here. It's a not a huge place. But everything is nicely laid out, giving you a cozy, comfy, and homey feeling. You can say it's a coffee shop embedded in a bookstore -- a Christian bookstore. The menu isn't too extensive. But you can find a a drink or two you like, such as espresso or latte. I took it easy and ordered a hot herbal tea, vanilla comoro, which is a decaffeinated black tea. Even it's a decaf, it still has a pleasant tea aroma. I also tried a cinnamon scone. It was surgery and crumbly as it should be. And the cinnamon flavor was definitely there. All the patrons were very disciplined. A group of people were chatting happily at a table. But they kept their voice level low enough not to disturb those quietly enjoying their reading. There are also a couple of chess tables for those who like to read the opponent's mind. One other thing I need to mention is the server at the counter. She cheerfully took my order with lots of smiles. Always a delight to see someone who genuinely enjoys what they do. Come and give it a try. You'll like this place as much as I do. read more

Both were incredible. Rich, nutty and smooth coffee beans and his coffee was piping hot and fresh; which we all know isn't always the case with late morning regular drip coffee! I'm always passing this place,so i decided to go inside! When I walked in I knew it was going to be big on the inside but holy cow, it was LARGE! At first, I was nervous to go in because I had my Peachy girl with me, but we came from the groomer and Ididn't want to leave her in the ccar. She was already so nervous. But she was in her carrier bag and so the staff was friendly about it. The coffee counter is surrounded by books, so it has a cozy feeling despite how big it is. I am not strictly Christian, so the fact that this is a Christian coffee shop, does not bother me, I think it is nice that people can go in and have their bible study groups and their special interests and have good coffee in a nice enviornment.
