Absolute nightmare. Do NOT go here. I had what can only be described as the worst experience of my life at Parra Accounting & Tax. From the moment I walked in, the staff was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn't want to be bothered. The receptionist barely looked up from her phone and acted like answering basic questions was beneath her. They completely botched my taxes. I ended up owing thousands more than I should have because of careless mistakes and sloppy work. When I called to complain, they got defensive and tried to blame ME for their errors. The accountant was condescending, interrupted me constantly, and clearly had no idea what he was doing. I felt like I was paying for amateur hour. The office itself looks cheap and outdated, with a weird smell and uncomfortable waiting chairs. They took forever to get anything done, missed deadlines, and charged me extra fees for "rush work" that they caused. Save yourself the headache and money. This place is incompetent, overpriced, and treats customers like garbage. I will never return and I'm warning everyone I know to stay far away. Zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs. read more

I have been filing for 3 years now and even referred others. We went in and did our taxes exactly two months ago and we hadn't seen our return come in. I called today May 20th and they never filed our taxes. I am very disappointed. I will no longer do my taxes with them or refer others. UPDATE: They called to apologize, they promised to file our taxes now, we had already paid so hopefully they file quickly without further delay, but regardless I am appreciative for the apology. But it hurts that I have referred many. I hope they serve those I referred better but it will be their responsibility to keep those clients. For us, we will search elsewhere. read more

I was looking forward to take my tax documents to Parra Accounting & Tax for them to assist me in completing my taxes. I wanted to support a small family-owned business. When I arrived to the office most employees had already left for the day and the only one around was Marcus Collier. He got up from his desk but seemed annoyed and disturbed that I was there. I proceeded to show him my tax documents I had in the folder and he said my documents looked unorganized and because of that he would have to charge me extra 'accounting fees' for organizing the folder. He also asked in a demeaning way if I wanted folders to organize it myself. I was surprised with his unprofessionalism and rudeness towards me. Earlier in the day I had spoken with Alicia, another employee that I would drop off my tax documents; so I don't know why he was being rude and annoyed. He then started saying that he does not even know who I am and doesn't know where I came from. All my life I have never had an employee at a company be so rude and unprofessional like Marcus Collier. He should not be working as a tax preparer, or in any office environment due to his inability to know how to converse in a respectful manner to customers. By the end of our conversation he said the papers I had in my folder were "trash" and that he did not have any time to assist me. Marcus Collier is an unprofessional, rude and incompetent tax preparer. He should NOT be working in any service business dealership working with the public. My taxes for 2020 were "supposely" filed by this tax group. I found out when the IRS sent me notice that they were never filed (and of course I paid for their filing services). I had to pay another tax person to catch up on their error! When I went to their store front they pretended they had no idea what happened, and also when I reviewed the tax form they had on file the social security number was not mine. My orginal paperwork given to me by them had the correct social security. When I looked closer at their paperwork it was clear the ss# was changed. I recommended to a friend and they had similar problems. Do not use their services. read more

Parra accounting has been my go to for income taxes for many years now, I was referred to them by a friend back in 2009 and have used them since. I've always felt they go above and beyond for me and my parents(I sent my parents to them after I found out how awesome they are). Very nice family run business, Marcus and Alicia will work hard for you to get the job done right. Don't waste your money going to these overpriced places go to Parra where the price is definitely right. read more

I was looking at an IRS Audit because the mistakes my previous accountant made and now I was responsible for. I was looking at possibly paying many many thousands of dollars. Needless to say I was very stressed and nervous about it. Marcus at Parra Accounting calmed me down and took care of everything. When I first called the office, I was immediately referred to Marcus, which was very kind and professional on the phone with me. I was very glad to realized that he could take me on the next day for the appointment to do my taxes that quickly. Since I have a corporation, it was more involved than a regular tax return, that normally doesn't take very long to prepare. But because the previous accountant was making some mistakes that needed to be redo all over again, it took Marcus more time than usually he should spend on it. But he didn't complain. He worked very hard on my previous year taxes, to fix the mistake that the other person made, and was very humble about it and even if it took him double of the time to work on it, he didn't give up and corrected it. I felt bad of the extra work that he had to do, just to fix some one else errors, but he was very nice and kind about it and didn't make a big deal by doing all that extra work.He was very easy going, hard worker and very reasonable priced and after reading all the good reviews about him and his great family own business, I was happy that I picked this office for my tax returns. He was fast, very professional and timely! I never had such a quick turn around to pick up my documents in just a day after submission. I can't thank him enough for straighten the previous year returns and making sure to fix the issue once and for all correctly.
