Then, he visited Bennett's Carpets in Russell Springs, KY and found the best deal ever! Red oak hardwood flooring for $1.72 sq ft...BEAUTIFUL...and when you are remodeling a 500sq ft kitchen and dining room, every penny counts. Also, because of my work hours, they offered to stay open later for me. Chain stores would not do that for anyone. Thank You Bennett's Carpets, Billy and Ivan. Money well spent

We asked them to convert carpet to laminate and the original estimate was about $3000. They ordered the material WITHOUT viewing our house first. After ordering it, we had to contact them multiple times to see if anything was being done and that was the only time that the project moved forward. After the material arrived, the contractors (that they hired) said they couldn't get started because BG Hardwood should have came to see the house before ordering the materials. This is when the estimate more than doubled to a total of $7000 because they said we never told them we had stairs (my wife confirms we told them this). New materials were ordered with us having to call and check the status almost daily. The contractors came back to install it where we found out they were smoking in our home Do not go with this company

Bowman's recommended Dun-Rite Flooring installer Ben Owens to replace and install my 77 year old…read moremothers laminate floor and replace vinyl in bathroom. He did NOT complete the job. 1st. He did not include 1/4 round trim and base boards in estimate so my mother paid additional money for 1/4 rounds and assumed that was all that was needed to finish floors. The trim did NOT match the rest of the flooring already in place in the house. 2nd He told my 77 yr old mother that he was finished and collected his money " in cash" and then told her he DOES NOT do baseboards and left half of the job of installing the trim unfinished. 3rd. When he came out and gave her the estimate he had to see there was no trim or baseboards in certain areas that had to be removed due to the water damage , did he think my 77 yr old mother was going to put the base boards on so he could then install the trim? Or was she supposed to hire someone to install just the baseboards? If he couldn't complete the job he shouldn't have accepted. Finally when Ben and your store was called and asked why my 77 year old mothers floor was not finished we were told they don't do baseboards. I Do Not Recommend either Bowman's or Ben Owens, Dun-Rite Flooring. They took advantage of a 77 year old woman and they did not stand behind their recommendation and they did not complete the job. Julie said that they do service our area, but they were very busy and it might be a few weeks before someone could come up. 17 Oct 2023 at 1418 I sent an email with all the requested information to Julie. 17 Oct 2023 at 1426 Julie answered that what I sent was perfect and that John, who does the scheduling, would "try and get us on a route as soon as possible." She again noted that they were a few weeks out. 4 Dec 2023 at 1225 I sent an email to Julie asking where we are in the queue. 5 Dec 2023 at 1540 Julie responded with "I will double check with John..." This is the last communication I've had with BG Fireplace. It is now 22 Dec 2023, more than two months since the first phone call, and it's unfortunate they were unable to make a quick phone call just to say that we hadn't been forgotten and that they were working on it. I will not be doing business with BG Fireplace as a result.
