Recently, my mother was hospitalized and needed time to recover in a skilled nursing facility. She boarded her dog, Niko, at a place in Troy close to her home. Niko has a history of seizures, and he had a small episode while he was there. The facility called to say they were not comfortable keeping him and that she needed to find alternate arrangements. My mother was already overwhelmed with her own health issues, and the added stress of finding a safe place for Niko was heartbreaking. I immediately called PSR, and they were just as incredible as I remembered. I spoke with Lace--who also worked at the Inkster location and even remembered my long‑lost baby Bella. She went out of her way to pick up Niko herself and made sure he had a safe, secure, loving place to stay. My gratitude for PSR runs deeper than words. They have always been the place I call "home" for my babies, and they proved once again why. "Thank you" will never feel like enough.

My cat is very sweet, but is very shy and when new people come to visit she always runs to the basement to hide, but when Eve came to do a walk through Butters was still around upstairs wanting to inspect the newcomer. After leaving for our vacation Eve sent me a text everyday and a couple of adorable pictures! It assured me that my house and cat were safe. Butters enjoyed their company so much that when we came home Butters was even cuddlier than she was before Eve and Shiloh gave her their love and attention. There's a web cam in the room so I could check on them whenever I wanted, and they always looked content. They got plenty of attention and the price is extremely reasonable -- much cheaper than boarding services where they'd be stuck in a cage all day. Eve also used to do home visits with my previous cat and did a great job with him. She is very trustworthy and reliable, with good communication. Highly recommended!

I do NOT recommend Pawz Inn for grooming. While their boarding services are fine, their grooming…read moreservices are sub-par. I dropped off my German shepherd for grooming services. They cleaned her fine but they didn't have the tools necessary to get to her undercoat. This has caused some serious matting to my dog's undercoat. At first glance, she seemed fine. Her coat was clean and she was fluffy. However, upon further examination, I noticed her undercoat was severely matted, to the point where she's in pain any time I try to rake her coat to resolve the matting. They had called me and told me that they "tried their best" and that they couldn't get to her undercoat properly. But I wasn't aware it was this bad. She didn't have any matting before I dropped her off. After trying to get her mats out for a week myself, I had to go to another groomer to fix the mats. It took several hours and over $180 to fix the problem they caused. They might be fine for small dogs or short coat breeds, but if you have a large dog with a thick undercoat, DO NOT bring your dog here. If they didn't have the tools necessary, they should have let me know from the beginning. I would've rather had them deny service than deal with the repercussions of them doing the poor job they did. They even charged me the full $100 for the grooming when all they did was make my dog matted.

I also like that they are given 3 hours of playtime each day. Shortly after we dropped off Juneau we noticed someone had put her toy and slow feed bowl in her kennel. Then the next day we noticed there was no toy, bowl or cot. I had watched over a 24 hour period and nothing changed. I emailed and asked why this happened and I never received a response. She was being fed in a regular bowl, which she will eat too fast and choke. I also noticed a pee spot on the floor and was not sure if it was due to this or not. However, Juneau is just a puppy (fully potty trained) and used to going outside every couple hours, so I don't know if that was the issue or not. I never found out what happened.

I watched him occasionally through the webcam and it was so fun to watch him play. He loved the girls and he followed them around. I really liked the schedule and the amount of play time and walks that the dogs receive. Some boarding places may be cheaper, but this place is definitely worth the price and I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. It was so cute to see my dog sitting on one of the girls lap during play time. He's very spoiled and it was so sweet that she let him sit there. He gets very anxious around new people and I was glad that he felt comfortable. I decided to place him in the boutique, which is meant for small dogs, but in the future I will probably put him in the Hills suite. There are always dogs in that suite and I don't want him to feel lonely at night. One night he was all alone in the boutique suite so I felt bad ): When we went to check him out they gave us a picture and a report card. This was so adorable!! I loved the picture so much. Abby's nails were awful at this point and needed immediate attention! (My fault) I was able to do a walk-in appointment, on a Saturday, and Abby's nails were tended to in minutes! My Abby is 13 years old with bad hips and and has always been a bit dramatic when getting a nail trim. I was amazed! Nicole got on the floor with Abby and she made Abby so comfortable. Abby didn't squirm, yelp or cry like she always has during nail trims. I'm so happy I went here! The crazy part is American School of Dog Grooming is less than a mile from my home and I've never gone there before! I'll never go anywhere else! They were great!!!
