He was not only empathetic and amazing but was so patient with us. We had a last minute flight back and then a two hour drive and despite being late and past the usual operational hours. He explained everything , answered questions , was sympathetic to all our needs , and really cared for us and our babies. I called them to explain my situation and I spoke with both Earl and Kathy (the owners). They were extremely professional, patient, and kind answering all of my questions because I was clueless on the process. We made the arrangements and I traveled with my dog to Wilmington. I wanted a private cremation. Earl met us there and took care of everything. I was impressed with how clean and professional the building was. I felt like I was in a scaled down, simpler funeral home for pets. Earl was very helpful and understanding of my "state". I wasn't quite with it. I felt very comfortable hearing how they came to be in this business, going through the ugly, dark process themselves when they lost a beloved animal. They saw a need for a respectful and ethical option. That is truly what they have created with this business. You can just immediately feel that they are going to treat you and your animal's "remains" respectfully. I cannot believe there are no other reviews for this place on here already. If you have the misfortune of needing this type of service, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They made such a dark day in my life a bit easier to deal with.

They promised same day service and I paid for it but early afternoon when I called for pick up-they said they were closed and wouldn't be available. When they finally made time to show up, the man Earl was rude. He became defensive and argumentative. He said he was working at his auto shop down the street and acted as if my pets cremation was an inconvenience for him. I didn't feel comfortable around him. I was devastated and upset but that doesn't give them the right to take advantage of the situation. I noticed that this man and woman actually had an old car and "racing fuel" sitting literally right beside the cremation machine. This can't be safe and I wish I would of never met these individuals. I was trying to cope and deal with a heartbreaking situation- they gave my family and I unnecessary stress and frustration. I miss my buddy every day and every day I can't wait for them to get the Karma they deserve. The county stated they didn't have a valid licence and the facility was not up to code.

They seemed…read moregenuine and not "fake" with empathy that doesn't work well when funeral homes don't have staff that "gets" it. The employees were almost invisible. They did a great job of being nearby, but not intrusive. We were given tags for the rear view mirror since we were also visiting the cemetery. Those driving behind the hearse were instructed to put on blinkers. We were directed to park separately, as soon as we arrived at the funeral home. It made the funeral procession organized and efficient when it was time to leave. My friend worked with the funeral home on a nice photo collage that kept playing during visitation and the funeral. There were approximately 175 pictures and the name of the person being celebrated. Having tissues and breath mints was a nice touch. I hope no one needs to use this business but if you do, you will be taken care of.

Some will not understand this but she was like a child to us and we were devastated. Holloway understood and treated us and her with a level of respect and professionalism that blew us away. From taking my phone call at 630am (they have a 24 hour line) to having her ready and given back to me with so much care and compassion, I cannot recommend them enough if you have a need for their services.

I brought my Rough Collie in for a bath and a simple sani-trim. For this breed, a sani-trim should…read morebe extremely minimal--just a light tidy around the sanitary area to keep long hair clean. Unfortunately, they went far beyond what was requested. Her entire underside was scissored from her stomach up to her chest, and her elbows were trimmed as well. This amounted to an unsolicited full haircut, which is something a Collie should never receive, as it can permanently damage the coat. If they had been familiar with the breed, they would have known not to trim her in this way. In addition, when we picked her up, her coat was still damp, tangled, and did not look conditioned. Her hair even appeared rough and broken, which is concerning given how delicate a Collie's double coat is. Overall, this was the poorest grooming experience we've ever had, and she would have been better off not being groomed at all. Collies require specific coat knowledge and gentle handling, and unfortunately this groomer did not demonstrate either. I would caution other Collie owners--and long-coated breed owners in general--to be aware of this before booking.
