Then, she unfortunately fell and chipped her front teeth. She was in some pain, and I knew they needed to be checked out. Even though we were not patients of this clinic, when I called they were able to find a same day appointment to get her evaluated. My daughter is a bit shy and sensitive, I was honestly expecting her first dental visit to be meltdown central. To my surprise, the tears were very minimal! Dr. Wandera & team were so sweet to her, extremely patient in letting her warm up to the situation, and efficient in getting the exam done thoroughly and quickly. She was even willing to wander a little bit with the hygienist, and helped her brush the teeth of an alligator stuffie. My daughter usually doesn't warm up to strangers quickly, and I saw this as good evidence of a caring, nurturing team. We will be back!

I had several appointments canceled due to his illness, which as a nurse, I understood. Today, I came back after having had a full set of xrays. I have been traumatized by an oral surgeon for my youngest son, and inappropriately touched sexually by another dentist years later. I've been working with my therapist to overcome my PTSD dental trauma. Today, before my appointment, I used guided imagery, EMDR, positive talk, and requested I be told everything before he did it. Despite all that, I was still very anxious & shed a few tears when in the chair to which he replied he could not work on me & perhaps I needed meds, and reschedule my appointment. I told him to go ahead & I was able to relax & calm myself down, which I suspect was due to the sunglasses I was given so I could close my eyes while he worked. The staff at Northpointe is amazing but I feel that Dr Craig needs to be a lot more understanding especially with traumatized dental patients like myself. Right after he completed his exam & filling of my 2 chipped teeth, he left barely saying anything to me. I felt his behavior bordered on rudeness & that he truly doesn't have comprehension or 100% compassion between a regular anxious patient which comprises most dental patients & traumatized dental patients like myself. The dental tech was very compassionate & calming. I return next Monday for part 2 of filling cracked teeth before having a fitting for a sleep appliance for my mild sleep apnea. Overall, I really like Northpointe DentaI as a very compassionate, understanding staff. I would recommend it to others who are not as traumatized as I am by dentists. Thank you

Our family recently visited Lake Minnetonka orthodontics with our two young daughters age 10 and 8…read more Our oldest daughter age 10, finished Phase 1 with Dr Carr. Our youngest daughter age 8 just began phase 1. We couldn't be happier with the care and expertise provided. From the moment we walked in, the staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. This definitely helped to put my younger daughter at ease, as she has some dental anxiety. The office is child friendly offering games in waiting room. Again, helping to alleviate some of the anxiety she had about the appointment. The front desk office staff also made every effort to accommodate our busy schedules, which I appreciated. Dr Carr and her dental assistant took the time to thoroughly explain the treatment and procedure before we began. All of our questions were answered with clarity and patience. We were to begin phase 1 of treatment with our youngest. Before we began, Dr Carr showed us a simulation of how the teeth would move during phase 1 of treatment. This was AMAZING! Phase 1 would help make room for the permanent teeth to come in properly. Phase 2 would complete any corrections to the bite or alignment needed after all the permanent teeth came in. This would help to prevent the need for permanent teeth removal like I had when I was a teenager. Again... AMAZING! It is clear Dr Carr and her team pay attention to every detail and are committed to providing the best personalized care. Through the treatment with our older daughter, we noticed significant improvements with her smile. Her classmate's parents often commented on how nice and straight her teeth looked. She will start phase 2 in the near future. I can't wait to see the same changes with my youngest. We highly recommend Dr Carr and her team. Their professionalism, expertise and genuine care sets them apart. I truly believe they are the best orthodontists in the Twin Cities!

I swear some months I was in every week because of some panic related to being 30, pregnant and braces face. I typically saw Dr. Tiziani, and Carr if I couldn't get in with Tiziani. Dr. T always wears pink latex gloves. I think that's the cutest. She is also very understanding that nobody wants to have braces on longer than they first guess. All of the offices are nice. I've been to Minnetonka, Excelsior and Wayzata. They have contests every month (I never won), magazines, and water (maybe tea and hot coco too?). Great staff. Clean environment. I'm always referring.
