Excellent food and service !! Highly recommended! You have to try the parthenon dip. Excellent flavor.

Okay, I went here thinking this would be a Greek place, and I misled my companions that way as well. It is in fact, not a Greek place. The menu consists of mostly American food (Sandwiches, Steaks, Salads, Grilled Chicken) with some Greek/Italian "inspired" dishes like Capri Salad or Gyro. Don't expect Spanakopita, Dolmades, Souvlaki, etc. In fact I could not find Saganaki on the menu although a previous reviewer mentioned it, I didn't ask. Once I got over that disappointment, it was a great dining experience. The location seems new and nice and service was great for lunch. I would have liked to see a lunch menu, and the prices seemed a little random - 8.90 for a salad, 7 for some sandwiches, 9 for other sandwiches, 8 for the steaks - but overall a good experience. I liked my gyro, the tzatziki was great, I would recommend this place if you're looking for American food. read more

We had a recommendation for Prime Rib at Parthenon Grille. Both of us ordered the Prime Rib. I wouldn't recommend the Prime Rib, covered in Rosemary including the au jus. The Greek salad was excellent! Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere - great for dates or business. I would definitely recommend ordering other dishes, even other cuts of beef, they looked wonderful. We had planned to go here (based on Yelp reviews) and got steered into ordering Prime Rib through a business colleague. I am sure if we had ordered something else, would have been five stars. Came here for lunch and started with the Greek Dip Plate, it was great! Lots of options for my low carb diet, husband ate the pita. They were so sweet and brought more sliced cucumber for me at no charge. Seriously, the staff was wonderful! Had the Greek Spring Salad and added grilled chicken for my entree, it was delicious! So flavorful, and they weren't stingy with the avocado like most places. I was pleasantly full without being stuffed, exactly how it should be. The only reason I took away a star was because the salad was supposed to have feta and it was missing. But it was still tasty without it. I've always been very hesitate about giving this place a try considering many of the menu items a way too overpriced and quite frankly, this part of town is not known for its fine dining and quality food (it's surrounded by nothing but, fast food and chain diner types). Finally I decided to give them a shot on a Friday. The environment was very relaxed and the bartender was friendly and helpful. After looking over the menu I settled on a Prime Rib dinner for under 20 bucks. The Crab Bisque was absolutely amazing. There were solid pieces of real crab that brought out the flavor of the soup. The Prime Rib was not overly fatty and tasted very good. Overall the food, price and experience were a 10. I don't know if I could ever make the leap to a 40+ turf and surf, but I could easily see myself dropping 20 bucks on some crab bisque and prime rib every other Friday night. read more

The restaurant was fairly empty at 12:30 on a Saturday which was either lucky or ...we were about to be not so lucky. Turns out we were just lucky. Service was great. They had a brunch/lunch menu with a lot of tasty sounding options. I had a gyro sandwich. It came on delicious pita and was a good enough portion I only are half. Came over here on a Sunday for the brunch. $2 mimosas. Can't beat that. The brunch menu offers the usual items for brunch: omelettes, waffles, etc. It's usually a pricey place, but most of the menu items were under $12 for lunch. The home friends were especially tasty. They're not the oily, soft, or mushy red potatoes tossed with herbs. They were crisp, delicious little russet potato squares. This restaurant needs to send their whole staff including their owner to extensive training on customer service or just close their doors. They are absolutely clueless as to how to treat their customers properly. I would NEVER eat here nor recommend it to anyone after what I witnessed from their staff today. They walked up to a table they had already served food and asked them if they were planning to pay for their food while there was money laying on the table to pay for their food. My boyfriend and I dined there on Valentines Day. Either of us had been there in YEARS! The new building is very modern, very different than the old site. Nice ambiance. We had the Prime Rid dinner for two. It was wonderful!! I had the Lobster Bisque soup, it was totally AMAZING!!!! He had the Greek salad, it was awesome too!! Our server was VERY nice & helpful! Been here a few times. Service is wonderful, timely and uninterrupting! Very knowledgable in unbiased food selection and complimenting wine! Environment is clean, relaxing and quiet enough to hear conversation. Terrific selection on the menu! I had steak with baked potato and salad. Portions were of reasonable size, but more important, was loaded with an explosion of flavor! Every single bite was well-balanced with seasoning. Salad was fresh and crisp with dressing on the side. Bread served upon arrival with olive oil. We requested additional balsamic vinegar which came with grass-like seasonings which tasted wonderful. A shared (big enough for 2) dessert of cheesecake was impeccable! I would have loved to top it with a slightly warmed shot of Chambord Liquor... But I forgot to ask!! Made a reservation for 12 people a couple weeks prior to our work Christmas dinner. We got a call a couple days before our reservation to find out they overbooked. We were booked for a private room. This is a major inconvenience for us and we now have to find another restaurant. Needless to say, all 12 of us will not be trying this restaurant in the future. Upon entering I was very pleased with atmosphere, prompt seating, and incredible food! The prime rib was especially amazing, for a moderate price of $20 as well, it was very nice. The main problem I have is the poor service - the waitress did not mention to me and a friend any of the chef specials - or the fact that any additions would cost extra - so upon receiving the bill and paying, it was only when I walked out did I realize they had a chef special for 2 prime ribs, which is what we ordered! So I ended up overpaying $20, which is not a big deal, but still, the fact the waitress omitted this information and I could only find it on a small whiteboard as I'm exiting the building was upsetting. Maybe the waitress was milking us for a higher tip amount? Very possible... just sad that's what they would do here. read more

We had a few less than stellar experiences at Parthenon in the past, but having worked there in college (when it was in the other building) and having gotten engaged there, nostalgia brings us back time to time. Well we have eaten both dinner and lunch there four or five times over the last few months and they have really gotten their game together. The food has been excellent and the service as well. Sometimes, it takes a while to get the check (which for lunch for some can be a stress), but other than that, give it another try if you had written it off. read more

Went there for Sunday brunch. Our service was not great. I ordered chicken and waffles. The waffle was pretty much the same one you get in hotel lobbies that serve free continental breakfasts. I didn't care for the chicken tenders that were served with it. We won't return for brunch. read more

For Murfreesboro, this is tops! Very nice atmosphere, clean, higher end, but not pretentious. The food has been spot on every time we've been. Today we placed 5 to go orders for lunch at the office, and when you get food to go and it's still excellent, that says a ton about the quality. They have good happy hour specials too. During the nicer season, I highly recommend the patio. Great for a date night or special celebration, or if you just want some really good food. The sauteed kale kills it! Olive oil, garlic, balsamic glaze . . . And that's just a side item! I'm just pleased every time we go, weather we are spending $300 or $30. read more

Where to start? Went there for my daughters birthday. She's a kid so she ordered from kids menu. Literally the overpriced mac and cheese was Kraft. Not even kidding. Legit from the box Kraft or some other cheap brand. The fresh fries were obviously frozen and not very good and the dish I had was very bland. The only thing I liked was the olive oil dip, which I couldn't enjoy since there were about 4 flies swarming around my food (we ate inside!!!). My mom and I decided that we needed some "girl time" on a Sunday afternoon (around 4 p.m.) so we decided to visit the Parthenon Grille for Happy Hour. We hadn't been there in some time, but remembered the quality of food to be excellent. We chose well, because the food was fantastic. On Sundays, they have a list of $6 specialty martinis and $6 appetizers. So, we chose to order several apps instead of just ordering a couple of entrees. Our waiter, Blake, was awesome and checked in with us often. First we ordered 2 cold apps : Raw Oysters (6 ct.) and Salmon Mascarpone with thin soft pita wedges for dipping (So Yummy! Don't knock it until you've tried it and I'm not much of a salmon person.) And, Blake was able to stagger our 2 previously mentioned apps with the next hot apps we ordered, so that they wouldn't get cold. Those were Bacon Wrapped Scallops with a light jalapeño cream sauce (not spicy but delicious), Oysters Rockefeller (you'll never look at oysters the same again!), and a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (one of the Best I've Ever had!) with red pepper aioli sauce (not spicy, but again delicious). Our martinis were fantastic! The appetizers were fantastic! Our waiter was fantastic! What else is there to say, except that we are planning on visiting Parthenon Grille again ASAP! Really disappointed in our experience last night. Ordered the special which was a sea bass dish, and my wife ordered a steak cooked medium. The fish was undercooked and wouldn't even pull apart, and my wife's steak was way over cooked closer to a well done. The waitress was nice, and removed one dish from our ticket for us, but as far as the meal itself, very poorly cooked. On top of it all, they say is right inside the bar area instead of the actual dining area where it was extremely loud. Disappointing dinner for sure. read more

My husband and I went on a Friday night about 6:45. They got us in without a wait. Our seat was in the bar area which we didn't mind as it doesn't seem like a 'bar'. The owner even asked us if it was ok. Our food was awesome and the prices were pleasantly pleasing. We had a crab cake that rocked!!! I had the chicken marino and shrimp which was great. My husband had the tilapia which he said was tasty!! We will go back!!! read more

Excellent atmosphere! Indoor or outdoor patio. Very original as far as food goes. They have a passion for food and it's very obvious from the homeade bread dipped in the olive oil, balsamic onion mixture for starters. The oysters rockerfeller was incredible! Everything they touch just tastes good from start to finish! The lovely owner was walking around making sure everyone was happy and it's just what I consider a 5 star restaurant with Excellent prices!!! read more

The place looks nice inside and out but thats where it stops. The food was ok at best my t-bone was cooked great but the steak was a bad cut they made up for it by putting so much salt and pepper on it you could not taste anything else. (So yaaa) And I am pretty sure my Creme Brûlée was made the day before and microwaved there were hot spots and most of it was ice cold. My wife's lamb chops were good but her side pasta was just a greasy hot mess of tasteless crap. Her Tiramisu was not Tiramisu. Not sure what it was but it was not that. More like a pudding of sorts was ok but kinda odd. The wait staff was nice but for $120 dinner they need to be way better then burger king. Ya see that price way over priced should be half that at best. Outback is a better steak place. O and that cost was for just what i listed and a coke (that i had to keep asking to refilled) and a tea. read more
