This was my first time here and I was really impressed. I was greeted at the door like family. The food was really good and the service was exceptional. This is a really great spot to eat a variety of foods and catch a game. They also serves brunch, lunch and dinner.

Ummmm.... how are they still in business? Decent decor, friendly staff, zero flavor, and expensive prices. I left feeling completely unsatisfied. It's confusing too, since the ingredients were fresh and I can tell they took their time to make it, but.... this was a very underwhelming meal, in every way.

Be sure to check in on Yelp for your 10% discount My friend and I were in our way to pick up her wine order at a local winery, and thought we should grab lunch first. Always wise to eat something before you go wine tasting. My friend had eaten here before and thought we would both enjoy this. We weren't starving, so we thought we would just do some shareables. I looked at their menu online and we agreed we definitely wanted the Greek dip plate. What had us most interested in it was the Tzatziki. However, when it came out, it did not have any. Just spicy feta dip, and hummus. I checked the menu in-house and it appears it's not included. Big bummer on our part. Don't think we would have ordered it if we had known no Tzatziki. I had the Greek salad- it was covered in dressing- I had to drain it out and off my salad- no joke, like 1/2 a cup poured out. So I would suggest getting the dressing on the side- my salad was literally swimming in dressing. The sweet potato fries were yummy, and served hot. We both enjoyed the broccolini- cooked perfectly. The garlic mashed potatoes were the perfect comfort food. My friend enjoyed the side pasta. We had a ton of leftovers and we were able to have a full lunch from them the next day. We took the Greek dip plate with us and paired it with Tzatziki sauce- pure perfection. Our server was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking

Well I have sat on this review a few weeks because up until Mother's Day I would have fully recommend this restaurant. I'm not sure if our server was new or if they were truly that unorganized. We had to have a reservation (not a problem) 2:30 on a Sunday. Still in time for specials -according to the menu online. Verification was made with the reservations on the full menu being served. We waited an additional 30 minutes upon arrival. As we are seated we wanted to order drinks and apps. Drinks no problem 2 for 1's the server talks up all the drinks. Until he comes back to the table with only one drink and that was his mistake no specials today. A "business decision" . There was a specialized menu, and there were out of several things. We did order appetizers Oyster Rockefeller and Spanakopita. Both were almost inedible. Entrees my partner and I ordered the steak pita plate and the mahi-mahi. The steak plate is my favorite thing always so fresh this was not at its best. The steak was dried out and I am certain they dropped the bottle of seasoning on the salad. The mahi-mahi we didn't eat it was horrid. Flavorless and cold it was unreal. (This was taken off the bill.) Other people in the party their main course came out with out the side. Our server said there was a misunderstanding it didn't come with a side. We had to go get a menu and show him what was in print. No specials also meant the Yelp check in was not honored. This was an epic fail. I highly doubt I will go back.

I was in Murfreesboro for work and decided to give this place a shot as it was close to the hotel. The inside of the restaurant is clean and updated, with a nice covered patio area. I took one of the empty seats at the bar. The menu was easy to navigate, and had a nice mix of items, but not so many as to make it cluttered or lack focus. They also had a small, but decent draft beer list, with several TN breweries represented. I had the Greek Lamb Burger with fries. The burger was slightly overdone making it a bit dry, but had good flavor, and the fries were decent but nothing special. I had a Country Boy Shotgun Wedding Brown Ale & a Yee Haw Dunkel, both were served in a cold shaker pint glass. The bartender was friendly and attentive. She made sure my glass was never empty, and the food came out fairly quickly. All in all, it was a decent experience but not memorable, and a bit pricey for what it was.

This place is never bad, but it's never been good enough for me to recommend to people. It just continues to be mediocre. We usually eat here once every couple of years. I really wish it was awesome but it's just ok... especially for the price.

Had a great dinner here the other day with a good friend. I have been here a couple of times for a quick cocktail and appetizer, but have never eaten a meal here before the other day. They have a great menu: steaks, seafood, pasta, etc. we really enjoyed ourselves. For a starter, I had the crab soup which was just ehhh, we also had the bacon wrapped scallops which were wonderful, and the crab cake which was also very good! For dinner I had the lamb chops and lobster tail and my friend had the filet topped with mushrooms (excellent) and grilled shrimp. And for dessert we tried the crepe brûlée (fabulous) and some banana torte of some kind (ehhh). Overall, the meal and service was wonderful. I look forward to coming back again very soon and trying some of the other wonderful sounding menu items.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!

A Cut Above the Monday Blues…read more The Chop House has quickly become a go-to family favorite since my folks moved to Murfreesboro, whether I'm in town visiting or they're dining on their own. The food and service consistently hit the mark, and our latest visit was no exception. I was surprised by how bustling it was for a Monday night--the place was absolutely packed! There was a party of 30 near us, plus a group of 12 right next to our table celebrating a 2-year-old's birthday. It was great seeing everyone having such a special celebration, and despite how busy the team was, we were seated and served in a very reasonable timeframe. My mother made a reservation in advance, and the team graciously accommodated her request for a booth to help with her back issues. They are always wonderfully welcoming to her 5-pound service dog, who sits quietly right beside her. Everyone--from the staff to the fellow diners--was warm and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even better. I usually go for the prime rib sandwich, but this time I opted for the full prime rib dinner with soup and a baked potato. It certainly did not disappoint, though it was so generous I couldn't even finish it all. As one of the nicer spots in Murfreesboro, it's a wonderful choice if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion--or just enjoy a top-tier meal.

The food was perfect and really not even that expensive compared to my home town. I started with a nice Cabernet. I had two in fact. I did not know that Tennessee has an extra tax (LBD - 15%) on alcohol sold by the glass! I thought Republicans were all about low taxes. I also enjoyed an absolutely delicious shrimp bisque. It was really good (and only $6 for a bowl). It was smooth and flavorful. In my neighborhood that would cost $15. My entree was a daily special, yellowfin tuna. It was nicely seared on the outside and sushi grade on the inside. I could really taste the healthy Omega 3's. The fish was served on a nicely flavored bed of long grain rice. A wonderful mango salsa topped the fish. The accompanying broccoli was perfectly steamed. This was only $26. I shall return again to this great place.

We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.

I visited with my parents during their last trip to town since the restaurant happened to be nearby. Upon walking in, the decor felt a little confusing. The menu clearly presents the restaurant as a grill, but the interior still seemed heavily influenced by what may have previously been an Asian restaurant space. The renovation didn't feel entirely cohesive, which made the atmosphere a bit disjointed. That said, the staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Throughout the meal, however, there seemed to be an underlying sense of stress among the staff that was noticeable despite their efforts to remain professional and attentive. It created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times. For dinner, we ordered the filet with broccoli and French fries, while another guest ordered a salad. Unfortunately, the salad had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese despite a requested omission due to an allergy. Thankfully, the issue was corrected. The filet itself was cooked to the requested temperature, and overall the food was fine, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Everything was acceptable, though not especially remarkable. Overall, Firebird Grill may work well for larger groups or families looking for a convenient, casual meal, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, it's probably not a place I'd personally revisit.
