Definitely the spot for seafood if you want some seafood. We came during dinner hours and it wasn't too packed. We got seated right away. I really liked how they had the set up, and decor. It wasn't what I expected at all inside. Everything looked new and clean. Food wise: my favorite thing here was the whole fried snapper (huachinango frito). I felt that it was fried to perfection and I really liked the seasoning in it. There wasn't too much going on with the seasoning, and it also wasn't bland, either. I also really liked the bread a lot, too. It also came out with some fries and rice. The fries were pretty alright. The rice was different from other Mexican restaurants. It isn't the typical rice you would get at other Mexican restaurants. My rice also came out more to the warm/cold side. I also tried the seafood soup. It was one of the Caldos. It wasn't too overly seasoned and came out with a little bit of everything from mussels to crab legs, prawns, calamari, and fish. I also had their modelo with oysters tray. It was pretty cool. The beers had a shrimp on top, and the whole tray had pretty much hot sauce squirted all over it. In all, I didn't have a bad experience and would be back.

It's a nice spot for large group gathering and eating out with friends and family. I will say for it being new the foods takes a bit longer to come out. Especially when they are multiple large party groups tables. Drinks wasn't a big hit for me. They didn't have margaritas by the pitcher. That was a wow moment. Definitely the menu for seafood lovers. If your used to getting side plates with beans and rice this isn't your typical Mexican restaurant. Positive the service was nice and pleasant. Our server did well bringing our drinks and taking orders. Food was good. Some days I see they have mariachi band night.

Have had my eye on Mariscos Sayulita Nayarit but it's on the other side of town and I would pass three places I enjoy just to get out there. Today I took the drive out there so I could check them off my list and I now regret waiting so long. This place is clean, bright, nicely decorated, and the staff is extremely friendly even with my poor Spanish. I took a seat at the bar and Elisa (sp) took my beer order and all of a sudden a server brought me a plate I didn't order (it was complimentary). The dish was called Tostada de Ceviche Marlin and it's marinated Marlin on a tortilla shell with diced tomato and celery. I gave it a try and it is fresh with a light "pickled" flavor, and with the garnishment is really quite good. The chips and salsa was served and I really liked the salsa, mild, a nice flavor, and you can tell it's made in-house. This menu can take you a bit to study and while Nayarit style seafood is the emphasis, there are many traditional Mexican dishes available too. After watching dishes being served to various tables (that looked incredible) I decided on the Fajitas Sayulita which one of the waitresses gave me a two thumbs-up! This consisted of bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, ribs, fajita steak & chicken, along with traditional sides. My first bite was some of the chicken with the onions & peppers on a tortilla and it was a "WOW" moment...great flavor and very tender. Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp which were also filled with queso cheese...these are addicting. Everything on the platter was great...some of the best fajita flavors around. Overall this dish is a real standout and I am looking forward to trying some of the seafood offerings. ALL of the servers were great answering questions and making me feel welcome. For me...this spot is well worth the trek across town to enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine.

I took my family to dinner last night and it was AMAZING! The most authentic Mexican food I've had in Tennessee. Our server was lovely and efficient and there was a live Mariachi band! I'll definitely be back to enjoy more awesomeness

The food was delicious, the portions were good, and the service was quick. It's always nice when the waitstaff is attentive. And it's even better when the restaurant has a cute and modern atmosphere.

Its our first time and the food was super delicious! My husband order the fried snapper and I ordered grilled fish. This establishment is ginormous with an enormous seafood menu. I LOVE SEAFOOD! Murfreesboro needed this "mariscada"' We also had half of shrimp soup and the Coco Alegre drink! Just fabulous! There was no wait time to be seated and our food came out about 15min after we ordered and HOT! If you haven't been here, please come! They also have meat on the menu but its definitely not your ordinary mexican restaurant. We will be back!!!!

First time visit twitch the whole family., biggest regret of 2021, 4 guest table got 2 person food delivered at 50 min mark while the other 2 persons had to wait extra 20 minutes for their tasteless food., it seems that the used frozen ingredients, everything was tasteless and blend, please TRY at least to use better products., I will regret paying this bill for the rest of my life.... LIVE AND LEARN. Por favor ahórrense su dinero, este lugar tiene u a comida de MUY MALA calidad, y sin sabor., me va a pesar por el resto de mi vida el haber pagado esta cuenta., MUY MALA COMIDA.

    Best Margarita ever!!

Wow this place is spectacular! I am so happy Sayulita Nayarit recently opened near my house. I have dined here three times now, and each time was amazing. The food and drinks are unique, flavorful, colorful and delicious. The service is wonderful. I love the molcajete bowl with crab legs and prawns, the oysters on the half shell and of course the margaritas. I especially love the mariachi band they had playing the other night. My almost three year old and his daddy had fun dancing. I've also come here with friends before- everyone always loves it!

Charola El Hefe- stuffed lobster tail, fried sea bass, and prawn in butter sauce & seasonings. Also comes with rice and a loaf of bread!

My husband and I came to Mariscos on Friday for his birthday dinner. To say we were blown away was an understatement! They have so much to pick from, it's a little bit overwhelming at first! We finally settled on the Charola El Hefe. WOW! It was a massive amount of seafood with amazing flavor. Colorful & vibrant atmosphere, a live mariachi singer- the drink selection is impressive. I can't say enough great things. They did a wonderful job designing the menu and the space. I can't wait to bring my whole family and try the margarita next time. Be prepared to pay for a nice dinner, because that is what you are getting!

Food was okay just a bit overpriced. Our appetizers came out with our entree. Friendly staff. I love their decor.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!

Loved it!! I made a reservation for a Friday night because I didn't know how packed it would be…read more I'm glad I did though because it did fill up pretty quickly there. The restaurant looked really nice. I loved the decor and the layout. We got in, and got seated right away. You can pretty much see the open kitchen environment even from our table. We started off with the baked oysters. It was pretty good. Their corn muffins were so yummy. It was soft and moist. A really good sweetness to it, but not overwhelming. It was made perfectly. I also tried the wild alaskan salmon. I requested mine well done because I just like my food that way and I just don't prefer soggy fish. I thought it was cooked perfectly for me. The presentation was really nice and the flavor was perfect for me. I don't have any complaints about this dish at all. I also tried the duck breast. I requested this well done as well. It was cooked perfectly and I thought it was seasoned perfectly too. The presentation was really nice for this one too. I really liked everything on this place. The potatoes, green beans, and cherries all went together very well. In all, I had a really great experience and loved it! Will definitely be back!

When…read morewe arrived, the staff had embossed our menus with a "Happy Birthday" message, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.
