Our server, Marcus, had only been on the job a week, but he was very friendly, efficient, and eager to please. He was so earnest he almost wore us out, but you just couldn't help liking him, especially since he did his job well. One of the steaks was still cold in the center, there's no way anyone would've eaten it that way. The side of garlic mashed potatoes was excellent. The chicken Corinthia was creamy goodness with spinach, artichoke, and asparagus artfully mixed in with a perfectly cooked pasta. Wonderful environment, with calm ambience. Christian was our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic waiter. He was able to recommend pairings for our meals. We did not feel rushed. One of my favorite places to come to in Mboro. They have great deals for happy hour. The staff is very friendly. I love their food. On wednesdays, it's $6 apps. Happy hour is also a certain time so you get discounted alcoholic beverages. They have different deals on different days. I really like coming here when I crave raw oysters. Their crab cakes are pretty good, too. My husband loved their bacon wrapped scallops. I've came another night before and tried their ribeye and french fries. It was pretty good. read more

This place is well past it's prime. This was our go to spot for years. We hadn't been in about 6 years, after moving away. We returned for dinner before a graduation, while in town with family, and will not return. Service was slow, even though they were slow at 4 pm on a Thursday. This place had an interesting twist on Greek food. While I was expecting a certain flavor I've had at other Greek restaurants, the food was still good. We were in town to visit MTSU and we were welcomed by the hostess. It was mid afternoon but still had several dining in at the time. I will say I was NOT impressed with the location. It sits in a location where Parthenon Grille seems to be a bit more upscale than other businesses around. Anywho, we were welcomed, seated and given menus. The waitress came over shortly after and was very friendly. We said we were in town to take a college tour and she shared in our excitement briefly. I wish I had this place back home. It would be my date night of choice! I ate here after a log day of driving and had the chicken with stuffed spinach and cheese, shrimp and pasta... Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection! It was the right amount of food and just so tasty. We started with their warm bread and oil and vinegar with spices which was good too. I was in Murfreesboro for the night to see a concert. My wife and I love Greek food and this restaurant may say it is Greek but is far from it. Each main entree I asked for they where out of so I opted for the steak which I asked for medium well-done. Food comes out and the steak is over cooked, dry, and resembles a hockey puck. The green beans where overly spiced with pepper. I also asked for the beer battered french fries which seemed store bought. Today we had our Friday lunch at the Parthenon Grille in Murfreesboro. Let me start by saying we eat there often, and the food & drinks are usually good. We first ordered the house Chardonnay, which came out of a box. Shame on us...it tasted awful, and when the bartender checked it, she found that the box had a expiration date of 12/22. Looks like someone is not rotating the inventory. My wife changed to a Cosmopolitan, which tasted like cough yrup. I ordered a slightly dirty martini, which came back as a filthy martini. While making my cocktail. The bartender got distracted, and didn't shake my...again shame on me for not saying something. My wife ordered Beef Stroganoff, which tasted like the meat was liver...hmm On the good side of things, my Lamb burger tasted good. Time for the bill. Typically we get that Cosmopolitans go anywhere from $10 - $14 dollars. So a little surprised to see it for $ 9.50, but with a $2 up charge. When I asked what was the $2 fee for, I was told that it was for the extra ingredients in the Cosmo. The same occurred with my not so slightly dirty martini...$9.50 for the vodka, and a $1 up charge for the olive juice. Why not just charge $11.50 & $10.50 for the drinks? It would make it easier to swallow the cough syrup Cosmo, and filthy (not slightly) dirty martini. We didn't want to call our bartender/server, on these issues as we could see that she was the only bartender/server for the restaurant, so we could see that she had a lot going on. We could see that she was stretched thin for attentiveness. We will try again because of the good food and service we have had in the past. read more
