The Montessori approach is beautifully honored, children are respected, guided, and encouraged in a way that feels both empowering and deeply supportive. We especially want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all of the amazing staff, and to Ms. Rola, Ms. Nina, and most especially her teacher, Ms. Avery. I've never been happier with a decision. The teachers and staff are warm, kind, and so incredibly loving. Dropping my son off feels like leaving him with family. The best part? No more tears at drop-off--he actually looks forward to going to school. Seeing him happy, thriving, and excited to learn has been the biggest blessing. The issues started getting bigger and bigger and the owner, Tressa, took zero accountability. Instead, she will completely gaslight you and say you're the problem. One of our first big issues was when my daughter was in the infant center and came home with bleach stained pants. The teacher admitted that they sprayed down her high chair with bleach, forgot to wipe it, and placed my daughter in BLEACH!! The second big issue was when they completely forgot to feed my daughter her formula all day. I picked up my youngest and she was screaming bloody murder in the car from hunger. When I looked at her daily log on brightwheel, I noticed there wasnt anything logged for feeding. I asked them thinking they just forgot to log the bottle feeds. Nope!!! They straight up did not give my daughter a bottle all day. The next big safety issue was when the parents started to realize the chickens kept getting eaten by coyotes jumping into the yard. And then we finally saw the coyote right up the fence of the school yard and took a photo. The owner Tressa decided the best solution was to put some cayenne pepper around the perimeter. SMH! It took months of pestering her to increase the fence height - and she only increased it on one small section of the fence. The rest of the yard is still low. Profits over the wellbeing of the children is her only concern.. Moving on to the mold issue. My daughter was in the 3 year old class which is one of the tiniesttttt classrooms I've ever seen. When the classroom teachers rotated, the new teacher decided to clean up her classroom (side note about cleanliness discussed below). She found the kids play couch to be filled with mold on the bottom and left it outside. The owner tressa pretended to act dumb and said it might have been black paint. Tressa, I am sure you are reading this. We all know what mold looks like. How did black paint only end up on the bottom of that couch? Stop treating the parents like they're complete idiots... Cleanliness side note: My kids would come home so filthy (no it wasnt just filth from the dirt yard. It was dried boogers all over their face, crusted food on their faces, dirty hands) that I had to throw them in the bath every single day after school. My kids were alwayssss sick at this school because of the lack of cleanliness. Finally, the last actual straw.... They left my child in her diaper ALL DAY LONG. She came home in the saggiest fullest diaper I have ever seen. She only wears coterie diapers at home and I would give the school costco diapers because they often would give out diapers to other kids and I didnt want the expensive coterie diapers to go to waste. She went to school in a coterie diaper and came back in a coterie diaper!!! I immediately texted Tressa and of course the first thing out of her mouth was a lie. She said other kids in the class have coterie diapers and they changed my daughter and must have grabbed a coterie diaper from another kid. Caught her red handed!!! Coterie stamps a unique code on every single diaper that matches the code within the rest of that particular pack of diapers for quality control. The code in the diaper my daughter came home with matched the open pack of diapers at home. When I sent Tressa the photos, she apologized and the excuses poured in. Stay far away from the teacher named Lisa. She is funny and sweet but she is incredibly lazy. She hates washing the kids hands, taking them to potty, helping them wipe etc. she is also very filthy and keeps her class in filth. Every single parent I know who has left, has left because of Lisa. I spent the past year feeling incredibly guilty that I allowed my children to stay in this environment for so long. Tressa made us feel like we are the problem. She is a master manipulator. The truth is, she tries to wear ALL the hats to save costs. She is a teacher, director, owner, substitute.. and the list goes on. How can anyone do a good job with so many various roles? I've spoken to so many of the parents who left this place and even TEACHERS who have left this place and all are aligned on the following: how the heck is this place not shut down yet?! Do yourselves and your kids a favor and stay far away from this place. P.S. yes I finallly reported them to the state agency when Tressa decided to keep my daughter in the same diaper all day and straight up lied to me. I am assuming nothing changed because I read the other bad review on here. To the woman who left that review, thank you. You finally gave me the courage to leave an honest review for this place. It was long overdue but well deserved.

From our first visit to campus she made us feel welcome and comfortable. I was so impressed that she knew every student and parent walking around as we visited. To this day, she still knows everyone who passes through the gates of WHPS Collins. She is always available for questions, to discuss any concerns, is an incredible support for the teachers and is actively engaged with the school's programs and students' development. We first had Ms. Monica and Ms. Zulay and now have Ms. Kathy and Ms. Candy as teachers. They are INCREDIBLE. The teachers tailor their teaching styles and content to the students in their class and their interests. My daughter is an observer and the teachers have helped push her a bit outside of her comfort zone and she has grown so much over the past two years. There are a ton of extracurricular activities that families can opt into. We've done dance, Spanish, tiny stem, soccer, and tennis. We've also done the summer camp at WHPS. It is a bit of an extension of the school year but with lots of fun water experiences. There is a pool with a lifeguard and available swim lessons. The Parent Association Group (PAG) is highly involved. So many fun experiences like a Halloween parade and Snow Day as well as cultural celebrations like Lunar New Year and Holi. Also, the school is incredibly safe. Double entrance doors which is right in front of the director's office. Codes and sign-ins required by all. Great relationships with LAFD and LAPD who respond quickly if there were to be any concerns. Also, they do a number of drills that are age appropriate for the students. I know it can be scary to discuss drills at such a young age, but it is necessary. With so many preschool opportunities in the west Valley, we were in a bit of a decision paralysis until we got to WHPS Collins. It was an easy choice and we are so glad our daughter has had such a great experience.

From the first tour I had with Ms. Robin, I knew that Collins was the place for my kids. We visited many schools and Collins was head and shoulders above the rest. The emphasis was on the right thing: Play-based, social learning! My kids have developed into thoughtful, curious, social butterflies! I credit the amazing teachers and administrative team at WHPS. This year they had Ms. Nicolle who is a unicorn of a teacher - the absolute sweetest, thoughtful, loving but firm when needed leader. My kids adore her and are excited to come to school every day. We have been so fortunate with the whole community at the school. The parents and kids in our class are a delight. I recommend WHPS Collins to anyone who asks. The focus is on developing social, curious and confident kids - it is not about academic rigor at this stage in their development and yet they have learned so much! To illustrate just how thoughtful the staff at WHPS is... My son required surgery in the Spring, it happened to fall on the day of one of the school's many fun activities - the Easter Egg hunt. Before I knew it, Ms. Robin, Ms. Ailin and their teacher Ms. Nicolle arranged a separate Easter Egg hunt for my kids' class so that my twins wouldn't miss out on the fun. As a mom in the throes of preparing for another surgery, I was moved beyond words. They showed me that day what I already knew, the staff at WHPS truly love and value every child that attends. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts, we will miss this sweet, small school that brought our kids so much joy and growth.

We couldn't quite put into words what made that school so special, but we knew we loved it, so we decided to stick with the Montessori approach. Unfortunately, after six months at a local Montessori school (the best of the six we interviewed), we had to withdraw our daughter because she repeatedly begged us to leave. I remembered seeing a school on Yelp that looked magical. It wasn't Montessori, but it seemed promising. I reached out to them, explained our situation, and they graciously invited us for a tour. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the clean, inviting space. What truly sold me, though, was Lauren's passion for the children. As she walked us through a typical day at the school, her genuine care and dedication brought tears to my eyes. Enrolling our daughter at Wildflower Atelier was the best decision we could have made. Shortly after starting, our daughter began to thrive again. Lauren and Shauna do an incredible job of gently facilitating group play, ensuring that every child feels included, loved, and seen. With this foundation of comfort and belonging, our daughter blossomed in imaginative play, arts and crafts, and more. Now, she's in first grade and excelling. When our son turned two, it was an easy decision to enroll him as well. He has been thriving just like his sister. Looking back, we realized that what we were searching for in a school was a genuine love and interest in our children's well-being and success. We found that--and so much more--at Wildflower.

I always feel like we are on the same page with challenges my child may be facing and view them as part of my extended parental team. Everything in the school is thought out and placed in such a way that encourages children to learn/practice different skills, become explorers, ask questions, think of new ways to use materials and more. My child has thrived here and I absolutely attribute his love of learning to Wildflower and the truly special teachers.
