Good service, wide variety of items, reasonable value. The service at Party City was good because the staff were very kind and polite and they would make sure you got everything you needed. The most convenient part about this location is it is close by to my residence. The selection at Party City is very great because there is a great variety of cool accessories and costumes. The value at this location was good and my only critique is you lower the prices on some of the costumes and accessories. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I highly recommend you consider visiting this location. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Halloween and costumes. I have several trunks full of costumes and am fully prepared for any last minute costume party invitations. Disney Princess party? I'm good. Superheroes? Oh yeah! Fairy Tales? Pirates? Steampunk? Check, check and check, lol. Party City is an awesome place to pick up Halloween costumes! Their regular priced costumes are on the pricey side but they have great sales. I got a Strawberry Shortcake costume there for $4.99! And it came with a mini hat fascinator and socks (in addition to the dress). You can't even get regular socks alone for $4.99 nowadays! Truth be told, I already had a Strawberry Shortcake costume, but the hat that came with it was a bonnet that looked like a shower cap. Mini hat fascinator is totally more my style, so I actually bought the second costume more for the accessories, but the accessories alone would be more than $4.99 at other places like Spirit Halloween, Monster Halloween, etc. Anyway, Party City is my favourite place for Halloween costumes. They are also awesome for party supplies. They have so much themed stuff. All milestone birthdays, retirement, bachelor/bachelorette parties, graduation, wedding, etc. They also have tons for items for kid's parties including party favours. And lots of mylar balloons. Some items are quite reasonable in price and some items are on the expensive side, in my opinion. I usually just buy stuff that's on sale or clearance, haha. Staff are nice and helpful. This location is in a strip mall so there is lots of free parking. read more

Update time! I have become a frequent shopper at this location, and love the selection that they offer, especially the seasonal items. However, the staff are soooooooooooo unapproachable. I always make my husband handle the transactions once were done shopping, because the cashiers always look so pee'd off. The whole transaction process is intimidating. As we were leaving the store today, I mentioned to my husband that this place literally has the worst customer service, and the cashiers never say hi. He laughed and said "I really don't know why we still shop here!" Sorry, but I had to knock off a star for this place. I'm not a huge fan of self checkouts, but I think this store needs some! read more

I was throughly impressed as soon as I walked through the doors of Party City: the colours, themes, different decorating options, and incredible inspiration for future events (Yelp and otherwise). It's essentially a warehouse full of party opportunities. There is an entire isle full of candy, a full wall of metallic helium balloon choices including a make-your-own balloon option, and if they don't have exactly the theme you're looking for, they will help you create it! The staff are wonderfully helpful. I went into Party City to have 5 balloons inflated with helium (which they did on the spot) but I saw that they also have helium canisters for sale. I will absolutely be back before my next big event for a more thorough look and probably a large purchase! read more

A party store where you can purchase anything needed for a party, decorations, costumes, balloons, etc. We went there because we were in Ottawa and was looking for something particular that we saw online. The good: Lots and lots of choices on different themes. Piñatas available. Articles for weddings and anniversaries also available. Store is big. The bad: Reduced staff, so it was hard to find someone to get a piñata for us. Candy is expensive. There was a whole section of the store that was almost empty and looked abandoned. Tight aisles. This is actually a good place to find party stuff. Lucky for us, it was not that busy when we went. But I am sure it can be a hassle when busy. read more

Stopped in to get balloons. Did not call before hand because I was on a road trip and going to see a friend who had a birthday along the way. Was told the 2 balloon I wanted would take 10 minutes. After half an hour and being treated very rudely the attendant did my balloons in 5 seconds. Worst customer service ever! After coming in a great mood left feeling like day ruined! read more

We'll be going to another dance store in the area from now on with staff willing to spend a few extra minutes in order to get the right fit.

I was asked to put my bag behind…read morethe counter by a younger man when I approached him to ask about trying things on, but he was perfectly calm about it and it's not like he leapt on me as soon as I entered the store. Once I explained what I was there for, he also actively kept finding and suggesting things that were similar to what I had tried on. He and the older gentleman also seemed pretty knowledgeable about the clothes, including the details of the brands they were from in some cases, and when they had arrived at the store. They also had a good range of men's clothing, which not every vintage store bothers to have. The main downside for me was that the store was so packed full of clothing that it was a bit claustrophobic, in a way that made it hard to browse. My arms got a workout just pushing the overstuffed racks in circles and trying to claw out pieces that had caught my eye from between other things. They had clothing hanging from the ceiling which was out of reach, and also in some cases apparently only for display, which made it hard to figure out what could be taken down and tried on (not to mention feeling like I was bothering the staff when I asked them to). The lighting's also dim enough it was a bit hard to see the clothing. The changing rooms are brightly lit, though, which is the important part. I did find two beautiful dresses, which while not actually "vintage" are in a similar style, which in my case was all I was looking for. Some of the clothing, including the dresses I picked up, was priced higher than really cheap, straight-up thrift stores like D'OR further down on Bank, but still in the affordable range for nice clothing (~$35-$70). Some pieces that were presumably actually vintage or just nice enough to warrant it were much higher ($125+). I'd say if you're in the area or if you're the kind of person who really enjoys rustling around in secondhand stores for hidden treasures, it's worth dropping in and seeing if you can find something to take home.

This little shop has some really cool stuff for kids. They also had neat handmade cloth bags filled with activity books, as well as costumes, cute knitwear, etc. Stuff seemed a bit expensive, but there were some unique finds that I could see justifying the higher prices. Why the two stars? Well, the shopkeeper barely acknowledged our presence the whole time we were there. She went out of her way to ignore us, and did not greet us or smile. After paying for our items, she didn't even thank us. Keep moving on if you wish for any sort of polite interaction or civility.

I stopped in at Halloween and it was just the same things found at almost every other Costume store. Nothing unique. Service was limited and a little frustrating (they didn't have a costume to fit my 6"2 hubby and basically was told to check somewhere else).
