Dang, I was so excited when I stepped foot into this party city, until I tried to return a cheap pair of sunglasses from the clearance rack. I bought two weeks ago. There is no sign clearance items items are final, so when I went to return them, they would not take them back under any circumstance. I've included a picture of another clearance spot. No sign showing you cannot return items. I won't be coming back to this one.A read more

We order some balloons on line to have them ready at the store. I asked for certain color it was a different color when I got them. The balloons where not in a bag, you have to pay extra for that and since I paid online I would have to make line to pay for the extra so they could be put it in a bag. I will suggest not to order online it's better to see what they will give you at the store. I will say that I did like that one of the ladies at the store was able to get them ready before the time that where supposed to be ready and I did appreciate that. To bad it was the wrong color. I'm editing the review because the balloons we but yesterday today are in the floor. Usually they lasted a lot longer very disappointing. read more

HORRIBLE. WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. The staff is horrible, unhelpful and flat out disrespectful. I stood in line to order balloons and i was directed to the side. Then (I'm assuming the manager) told me that I would need to go pay for them before i could discuss ordering any so i had to get back in line and wait again. Then a cart fell on my toddler and the metal bar that sticks up on the side of the cart pinned him down and was over his neck. All three of the women just stared and one laughed.. no one asked if he was ok or showed any concern. read more

I came here looking for a few specific items that I had seen on their website. Left the store with no luck - even though the decorations are aimed at kids parties the themes are kind of limited. Call ahead if you are looking for something specific, or order online if you have enough time to wait for shipping. The balloon station is always busy when I go, so the wait can be long, but once they start on your order they're fast. I like being able to pay before my balloons are done, so I don't have to wrestle with my purse AND the balloons at the register. Overall this place is a good spot to buy generic color cups/plates/forks, and a few themed items, but the selection is limited. Thankfully the store always looks tidy, so that's a plus. Their signage makes it easy to locate certain sections in the store. read more

This Party City is on the smaller side but great if you need a just a few party staple items like pinatas, pretty princess crowns, and balloons. This is my go-to spot to have my balloons filled with helium. It costs less than a dollar for each regular size balloon to fill up with the magic and the staff is efficient and happy to help! I was planning an extreme ping-pong party for my husband so I was looking for more grown-up novelties like silly hats, cups, etc. This location is best for kids party decorations so I left with little luck. NOT FOR THIS STORE, but for the one on Mingo and 71st, so I gave the store the 3 stars it currently has, so as to not take away from it. Mingo and 71st store deserve 1 star, and I'm being nice. Review 2 - Continued Then the manager yells "tell them we don't have the 5 flutes for their second order, that's why we adjusted their first order, we only had 10 flutes". Where do I start, I know, and trust me I wanted to walk over the "employ-nager" ('what I'm gonna call a manager who acts like an employee), and yell at her by now also, but instead I reserved myself to just getting my stuff and getting the F* out of that place. OK, (deep breath, inhale...exhale) First- The employ-nager should have stopped what she was doing and walked over to me, Not yelled back and forth. Second- The emlpoy-nager should have then addressed me, not the employee, regarding my order since I was obviously right there. Third- The emlpoy-nager's first words should have been, "Hi, I'm sorry there was some confusion with the online system, saying we had 5 more than we did. We couldn't fulfill the second order. I also apologize for not calling you or notifying you about that, we shouldn't have told you that your order for 5 packs of flutes was ready for pickup." or something really close to this. Instead, what I got from her 'tell them we only have 10' crap was that I was somehow responsible for the online system telling me they had 15 packs. Was I also responsible for the online system saying you then had 5 packs, and allowing me to purchase, and pay for those 5 packs?? NO, I am not! (Lord you said I can get angry, just not sin, so I'm-ma get a lil angry) Poorly delivered sarcasm and sheer rudeness was all this pathetic excuse for management had to give. And she didn't even say it to my face, but yelled it to the girl, (whom I stopped and said 'I heard her'), before she could repeat it. If the employ-nager had any clue whatsoever about running that store, she should have caught the second order, looked into why it was allowed, fixed or notified appropriate personnel to fix the online problem. Then she should have notified me and explained the situation, instead of blowing up balloons. A company like this, with over 900 stores, really doesn't give a crap about reviews or bad experiences. They will always exist for one reason, blowing up balloons, take that out of the equation and the store would shut down instantly. They are way over-priced, under-staffed, and can care less about the customer experience. I'm not wrong, because If I were, then this type of situation would have never happened. I get online issues, I also get idiot workers, but to have that along with employees standing around, the place looking like a hot mess, the attitudes, the complete lack of customer care, the more than inexperienced employ-nager, is completely inexcusable. Will I get an apology or even a "promise to look into this" , most likely not, then again, why should I? They have over 900 stores, its all about blowing up balloons at this point. read more

They definitely have a wide variety of party supplies for good prices. My main concern: I was waiting in line for over 10 minutes for some tissue paper. The service was extremely slow even though there were multiple employees who could have helped out in the check out line. Instead, they were walking around the store. read more

If you need party supplies this is your place! Open all year. Wedding stuff, birthday stuff, Halloween stuff, Christmas stuff.... you name it! They also have solid-colored items as well for generic parties. They have super amazing BALLOONS too if you need some of those! I went on some random day and there were a ton of people here and had to wait in line a while with one cashier, so maybe they need some more people on the registers, but that is my only complaint. I bought a costume for a party, then decided not to go to the party! I had just bought the costume on 10/24/15, and tried to return it on 10/26/15(never opened the package)! I was told I couldn't get a refund, because it was halloween stuff, they refused to give me my money back! My son's birthday is coming up, so I asked if I could at least get a store credit, or exchange for party stuff, since I had my receipt! They said NO, I could only get Halloween stuff! So I went and got black plates, and black forks, because an employee in the back told me it was considered Halloween because of the color! The front store manager still gave me a hard time about exchanging for the black plates, even though I told her what the employee in the back told me! She called to the back first! Most stores would at least give you a credit, to come back some other time! This policy is crazy! I will NEVER be back there! I'll find another place for my party needs! read more
