Just rude. It's sad! I remember being so exciteddddd growing up and going to this place when it was on Laurel Canyon and San Fernando Mission. They used to be so so nice and joyful! Everyone had a smile and felt all the bubbly, fun energy! BUT NOWWW...the associate told me not to turn on some toys I was looking at. How am I supposed to know how they work? I had a very disappointing experience at this business. I purchased a balloon and carefully placed it in my empty SUV without touching it beyond that initial placement. When I opened my car a few minutes later,I discovered the balloon had popped. When I returned to explain what happened, the owner immediately became defensive and accusatory. Before I could even explain the situation, she said "oh wow YOU popped the balloon" in a confrontational tone. When explained that I hadn't touched the balloon and it must have been a defect or temperature issue, she dismissively responded "whatever." While I was willing to pay for a replacement (and did), the issue wasn't about the money - it was about being treated with basic respect and courtesy. The owner's aggressive attitude and refusal to listen made what should have been a simple exchange into an unpleasant confrontation. Customer service matters, and unfortunately this business falls far short. A little kindness and professionalism would have gone a long way. I bought 8 Mylar balloons for an event that was occurring the next day. By the time I got home with the balloons 2 of them were already going flat. I wasn't able to return that day so I went the next day just after the store opened. The nice older man who had helped fill the balloons the day before refilled them for me. By the time I was pulling out of the parking lot one of the balloons was already going flat. I returned to the store to let them know that the balloon was defective and if I could get a replacement. The older lady was helping me this time and she said it definitely had a hole but she wouldn't be replacing it, had I come the day before she would have. I did get upset with her because she was refusing to replace a defective balloon and I had photos to show her from the day before of the flat balloon but she refused to look at them. After getting very upset with her about her business practices she reluctantly gave me another balloon. And she proceeded to tell me, "calm down! It's just a balloon!" STAY AWAY... spent $40 the night before my daughters party and had balloons inflated with what this store claims is helium only to wake up the morning of the party and find all the balloons all over the floor. Called the place pissed and he actually had the audacity to LIE and say he told us they would deflate within 8 hours and that there is nothing he will do to fix this. HMMM so you told me my balloons would deflate in 8 hours and I proceeded to pay you $40 to inflate them for a party i was having in about 16 hours from then. Right... scam artist for sure... fyi don't believe the bs he spews about rubber or latex balloons not lasting long.. we then had the same balloons from what was left in the same pack inflated at party city and they lasted THREE DAYS RESPONSE TO "business owner" - when you have over 13 reviews of people complaining about the SAME THING then YOU'RE the problem. If all these people knew the balloons would deflate within 8 hours then they wouldn't have paid you to inflate them... so don't insult your paying customers by calling them liars when YOU'RE the liar. Very disappointed with product and service of Party Corner. I placed an order for two balloon columns that cost $165.00. I had them delivered last Saturday for a baby shower. Julie, one of the owners (I believe) came out at the expected time to deliver them. She placed them in the entrance of my garage, were the party was to take place. Once all the tables were in place, we moved the balloons right by the entrance of the garage. While we were setting up other items one of the columns took off, because, 1) They used helium rather then air, and, 2) because they didn't tie the brick correctly to hold if down, causing it to come loose and take off. They were only tied around one side of the brick rather than both long and short ways around the brick. She tied regular knots to hold it together rather then a locking knot. The column was tethered to a brick with thin fishing line. I knew this because the other column was still there and I examined the brick attached. I called to speak with Julie about what took place. Her response was less then favorable, arguing back and forth that it wasn't her fault, not taking any responsibility. Very rude. After I told her the string she used to tie it, and the knots were incorrectly done. She said "Impossible" and the arguing continued. Finally, after arguing with her for almost five minutes, she said she would call back after she discussed it with her partner. About an hour later I received the call, she said that she discussed it with her partner and the would make another one for cost. Of course I was livid. After going back and forth with her again, I told her that I wanted another column to replace the one she screwed up on. She was very rude, talking over me and finally when she agreed, then hanging up on me. After about half an hour, and very close to the event time, she delivered it. My daughter met her at the driveway, Julie unloaded the column, nearly throwing it at my daughter, got in the car and drove off without any apologies, or a word said. After about an hour, the balloons started to deflate on both columns. Cheap product and shoddy work. I would never deal with this business again and you shouldn't either. They are rude, they lie and don't give a damn about their customers. I truly don't know how they've stayed in business this long. In fact, if you look at their reviews You can plainly see by there Yelp reviews and other reviews that their overall scores are very poor. It's very sad that they don't think there behavior will go untold. There's plenty of other party stores in Los Angeles and vicinity that do very good work, use much better products, and overall have good customer service. They think that they're untouchable. I'm sure they'll rebuttal this review and turn it around on me, but that goes to show you that, again, they lack customer service and don't give a damn about the customer. read more

They literally blew up my 3 for my 30 balloon and it popped. They said it's not their fault "when you guys bring these in you don't know what you're getting from online." I paid $5.00 to get this blown up, I have spent hindreds here in the past and they couldn't even credit me for the $5.00 they just waisted of my time. The balloon wasn't even fully blown when they saw the "hole." They probably made the hole themselves since I walked away for a few minutes to buy other things. OK this they might not be the friendliest but I'm the type of person who likes to be left alone while shopping. If I am at a store and I get asked if I need help more than 3 times... I walk out. It's annoying, if I need help I'll ask. Here I can walk around look for what I need and pay without hassle. I do buy my own foil balloons online but always buy the latex balloons from them so when I ask to fill the foil they are filled without problem. Yes there are additional fee but that's part of business. They have everything you need in every color. It is a bit overwhelming but hey so is life sometimes. But it's not as overwhelming as a trip to a vallarta supermarket, god help me in that store. Fun fact: the foil balloons deflate while in the sun but as soon as you put the in room or shade they go back to their inflated state.
