    My "hazard" ballon's

This party city is the absolute worst party city I've ever been too! I went in to inflate 3 ballon's that i had previously purchased at this exact location. The pack came in a pack of 6 ballon's. I didn't use all 6 ballon's at the time so I saved them for another time. That time was today. They refused to inflate my ballon's and claimed that the ballon's were a "safety hazard" I walked over to the ballon aisle and found the exact same ballon's and walked over to the register. I stated, so if I buy these in the pack, they're no longer a "safety hazard" and the manger replied, yes. This is the absolute dumbest rule I've ever heard in my entire life. I had to re- purchase another pack of $10 ballon's plus $2.50 for helium $22 for 4 ballon's. Absolutely pathetic and I will not be shopping here anymore. This was not the first time this party city delivers poor service. It's ballon's, it's not that serious. Neither is this company in a position to deny helium for $2.50

I stopped by this Party City this morning to look at balloons for my niece birthday party. They had a lot of balloons out for birthday, mother's Day and graduation so they were ready. They have other balloon themes as well so you'll likely find what you want here. The staff were friendly, the moment I walked in they greeted me and asked if I needed any help. The balloon is more on the pricey end so be aware of this. They have other stuff here as well and organized nicely inside. I didn't buy the balloon from here since I went next door to another store where they were cheaper.

The item I wanted at the sale price; also shows the regular price. Porter Ranch Party City wants $259

I called last night about an animatronic that the website lists as on sale for $138. They said they have 2 in stock (can't be purchased online; in store only). So I go there this morning. The girl who checked on it last night was there. Another girl went to go get me 1. She brings it down and asks what price I was expecting to pay. I show her the screenshot : was $200, on sale $138. She tells me it's $259. It's an independent store and they don't honor the sales prices on the website. Even though they are on the website and listed as a store with the item for the sales price, they will not sell it for the sale price. I pointed out that their price is even higher than the regular price. Don't care. I left without it. I did have a chat with a clueless representative online and got nowhere. What did I learn? I won't be shopping there.

Are you the morbid type who wants to see what a store looks like as it enters hospice? This is your jam then. Filthy aisles where most merch finds its home on the floor rather than on the shelves, mysteriously sticky surfaces at every turn, disgruntled acneiform employees with a plastic made-in-China ax to grind... boy howdy, these are just some of the treasures that will satiate your sadistic thirsts. Wholesome family fun for all. But seriously the icing on this rubber cake? Try to return something to this locale. Why you ask? Well because there's an extra layer of excitement when you try to do business with the illiterate. See, say you make a large purchase of party trash for a child. Said child refuses to don the metallic party hat so you bring it back to this location with the original receipt. Now, should you read the PC website, the policy, posted here for your amusement, states that all you need is your receipt to return your mistakes. Nope, not here. If you don't have the original credit card (said hat was purchased by an auntie who lives out of town), the return will be rejected. Flatly. These employees are anarchists, heroes, perhaps, who operate with their own set of rules, completely refractory to any sort of reason. And when you have the audacity to alert them to their errors, well, woe be to you. Better make your way out to this party cat box. And act fast, as it seems this one is fading slowly into closure, dying on the hill where the customer is surely always wrong.

Cupcake papers are stretched out too much and don't have a good shape to hold the batter. Disaster. I'm so annoyed.

The displays are fun and of course, has the store's signature bright fluorescent lighting rather than a little more Halloweeny feel like Halloween Town (in Burbank)... but it's a chain thing #InTheSpiritofSpiritHalloween I stopped in to browse the inventory as well as pick up a prop I ordered a week or so ago that they had called to remind me about the day before. While the inventory is pretty varied for jewelry, props, decorations, and more in a lot of things they definitely have limited sizing for popular costumes in-store, though you can order something online (get that 20% off one item - current sale for online and/or in-store purchase) which I'd assume can be transferred from other locations or shipped directly to this store/location. Pick-up orders are almost seamless!! Samantha and the manager on duty (I'm guessing ) by how incredibly knowledgeable she was we're super helpful and thorough. I waited less than a few minutes and had my order number and ID ready to make things even easier for them. They're open until 9PM every day and until 7PM on Sundays. She said it had to be a Scannable code. But they didn't send me a scannable barcode in my email, so they would not give me the 20% off. She then told me to look on Instagram but there were no current 20% off coupons there or on the website or anywhere else that I could find. So basically I had to pay an extra $3.67. Not happy. The managers should have an override button in this situation.

It's a big store dedicated to all things Halloween and Christmas, which is a weird mix but whatevers. There's hardly any circulation inside the store and it doesn't help that everything smells musty, which tracks considering how old the costumes are. There's a decent selection of everything you could possibly be looking for, but they're outdated and it feels like someone's trying to offload a bunch of things they've been keeping in storage. Overall if you don't want to shop online and want to look at Halloween things in-person, it might be worth a look. Truth be told though, you'll be able to find everything cheaper and in better quality elsewhere.

"Kreep Halloween - Sherman Oaks" but use the same everything else. There's sections and areas for all ages, sizes and genders. Outstanding holiday decor from the moment you cross the threshold and are greeted by their friendly security and/or helpful staff. I wanted to check out the lay of the land, this being the former Joann's (Fabrics, before they went out of business) and often a Spirit Halloween location prior to that. Honestly enjoyed Kreepy Halloween and while it was a little chaotic, over packed with product and the week of all hallow's eve, everyone does their part to assist and keep this store up. A lot of the Joann's signs are still up and/or very visible, which is to be expected with such a short turnaround time. I believe this store physically opened here in August and additionally there is a Kreepy Halloween in Los Feliz as of October, second location. Customer service is personable for sure, however the line was a little confusing with not the best clear signs to guide you or markers to let you know where the line physically starts. They had me go up past the first few registers not in use to just behind a gap where employees enter and exit... I made sure there was room and didn't stand in the way of the opening, but no indicators, marks or instruction for this that I could noticeably see... Other than that, they did have up to four to five registers open and the line moved quickly. Reasonable prices and parking both underground and on the ground level at the Riverside-Woodman plaza on the corner of the streets of the same names - diagonal from Notre Dame High.

I will start by saying I have never in my life felt compelled to write a review of a company…read moreonline, unfortunately, my experience has gone from wonderful to terrible over the course of the last 8 months. Last March I decided to get a valuation on some of my memorabilia, and if the price was right I would part with the items. That is when I discovered The Propstore of London, I was immediately impressed by their catalogue and customer service, and over the course of several weeks they convinced me that they were the right people to take on my items. Long story short, their experts appraised my items and I was assured of how well they would do in their auction. Though I needed the money at the time they convinced me to wait nearly 8 months because the ideal auction would be their November auction in London. Fast forward to a month before the auction I find a couple more pieces I was willing to sell and a family friend convinced me to allow Bonhams to sell them for me, and It was a GREAT success. They sold the items for well over the appraisal I had received from the Propstore, furthering my excitement and expectation for the Propstore auction. Two weeks later the Propstore held its auction, and the unimaginable happened. After 8 months of having my items in their possession, ample time to find bidders and buyers, only 2 of nearly a dozen of the items sold, while nearly all of the rest went bid-less. After the lack of success on the first days I of the auction, I attempted to contact the Propstore and ask if we could lower the reserve since every item was stopping one bid below the reserve. I was unfortunately ignored. I was later informed that nearly all of the bids that I had been seeing on their site were by the Propstore themselves. These aren't niche items, they are pieces of Hollywood history, held and owned by icons of the industry, and after EIGHT MONTHS they had nothing to show for it. In the time that the Propstore has had my items, I received two separate offers to purchase the entire inventory that I had endowed the Propstore, offers that I would happily have accepted had I not promised the items to the Propstore. After the spectacular failure that the Propstore suffered with my items, I thought at the least they would contact me with sincere apology for the mismanagement and incredible waste of so much time. Instead they said they were sorry that I was disappointed, and they suggested that I put the items on their March auction. Which would be be a full year of waiting, unfortunately I no longer have any faith in them. I am now expected to pay them back the money they fronted me for the items, which wasn't even recouped from the items that they were able to sell (at minimum bid), before I am allowed to retake ownership of my items. Long story short, at a time which I was vulnerable and needed to part with cherished property. All I have received for my trouble is the loss of commission on the few items that did sell, and 8 months of time that I cannot recover. The rest of the items will be sold to a private buyer, and when I sell memorabilia in the future it will be with a company that has proven to be successful for me, Bonhams.
