So the Party City I was going to go to was closed. Decided to visit this one. Plenty of parking since its in a huge plaza. Like other ones I went to and is a big location. Clean and well maintained and the staff was nice. The usual themed sections for kids like Disney, Jurassic Park and Marvel. I could see a Halloween section full of masks and decorations but it was closed to customers. They also have pet costumes! I think you can ask them for a mask and they'll bring it to the front for you. Not sure if I just never noticed but there are so many different balloons! read more

Had an awesome experience shopping for just what I needed for a photoshoot! Didn't get the guy's name but I had to ask someone for help to get into the back area for Halloween items. Seems they close it off for whatever reason, maybe for out of season or something? I was looking for Spirit Gum for glueing horns to my forehead and the guy who helped me was knowledgeable and helped me find it quick. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I had one of the worst retail experiences at this Party City location. Despite the store being filled with employees walking around asking if you need help, the moment you actually do need assistance, they either avoid you or come up with excuses not to help. I was shopping with my 11-month-old and had multiple large items I couldn't carry out on my own since they don't allow carts outside. When I asked for help bringing my items to my car -- which was just steps from the entrance -- I was told to pull the car up front and leave my child inside while I came back to request help. Seriously? Not only is that completely unreasonable, it's shockingly insensitive and unsafe. Thankfully, another customer overheard and kindly offered to help me carry the items. He mentioned he's a regular and has seen this kind of behavior from the staff before. This store clearly lacks empathy, basic courtesy, and customer service training. This party city is the absolute worst party city I've ever been too! I went in to inflate 3 ballon's that i had previously purchased at this exact location. The pack came in a pack of 6 ballon's. I didn't use all 6 ballon's at the time so I saved them for another time. That time was today. They refused to inflate my ballon's and claimed that the ballon's were a "safety hazard" I walked over to the ballon aisle and found the exact same ballon's and walked over to the register. I stated, so if I buy these in the pack, they're no longer a "safety hazard" and the manger replied, yes. This is the absolute dumbest rule I've ever heard in my entire life. I called last night about an animatronic that the website lists as on sale for $138. They said they have 2 in stock (can't be purchased online; in store only). So I go there this morning. The girl who checked on it last night was there. Another girl went to go get me 1. She brings it down and asks what price I was expecting to pay. I show her the screenshot : was $200, on sale $138. She tells me it's $259. It's an independent store and they don't honor the sales prices on the website. Even though they are on the website and listed as a store with the item for the sales price, they will not sell it for the sale price. This place is so terrible. I got a balloon bouquet for NYE and the big mylar one that costs a ton is deflating literally 15 minutes later. So is one of the latex balloons. Staff isn't the most helpful. The few times I've come here and asked for help, they basically roamed the aisle looking around no different than what I had been doing. I also want to point out that I have found on several occasions the prices I've seen on the Party City website have been less than what I have seen in store. Luckily they'll price match so if you see this dependency just show them the lower price online at checkout and they'll give you that price. I don't know why they don't just keep the prices the same over the two places, but whatever. Just a little tip to help you save a few bucks. Obviously around holidays like Halloween this location can get very busy but around other times of year it is nearly a ghost town. I placed a "curbside order" as advertised on their website . I received an email about the processing of my order and was instructed to not go to the store until I received an email about my order being ready. I had originally scheduled my order to be picked up at 2:30 pm I decide to still head to the store without receiving the email. So I call while i'm outside the store at approximately 2:50 thinking they might be running late as I saw a huge line outside , and I am told by the employee that for some reason their emails were not going through. Not only that she explains to me that apparently this is not "really a curbside pickup location" ( why would they advertise it on the website and give you instructions about an employee coming to your trunk if they do not offer this service!!!????) I had originally placed this order with the sole purpose of saving time and just driving up and receiving my order . Party city has always been a fun store to go to. Most recently I went with friends to shop for a baby shower. I had shopped there before but only for a few specific items. I absolutely recommend Party City for the huge selection of balloons. I'm not sure if it's the cheapest place, but they are definitely dependable. The issue I have with Party City is that many of the products (table decorations, napkins, plates, etc.) are sold in small quantities and it's expensive. A good example of this is plastic utensils. A 45-pack of utensils (knives, spoons, forks-15 each) cost almost $6. You can get the same thing at the 99 Cents store...for 99 cents. I would still recommend this store because of the extensive selections for party goods, but I would know exactly what I need and go the dollar stores before heading here. read more

BUYER BEWARE! ADVERTISED PRICE IS DIFFERENT THAN IN-STORE PRICE! I found an item I wanted on PartyCity.com, and the website said it cost $5.00, and it was in stock at the Porter Ranch location. When I found the item and brought it to the register, they rang it up as $10.00. I pointed out the discrepancy, and no one apologized with "Sorry for the error." That's because IT'S NOT AN ERROR. This is their policy. The clerk explained that the price you see at PartyCity.com and the price you get in store are simply two totally different things, and the only way they will honor the price they advertise online is if a customer pulls out a phone and shows it to them. This is clearly false advertising. Even though the website tells you the item is available in-store, nowhere does the website disclose that you'll be charged DOUBLE. I recommend looking up the independent party supply store in nearby San Fernando for lower prices and honest service instead of this place. read more

The Manager "Sebastian" should not be the manager and needs to have his title taken away. He has no customer service skills nor understands the concept of going outside of the box to keep a customer happy. He basically would not refill a balloon that takes less then 30 seconds. Stated he has orders to be filled, there was an hour wait! For a balloon again... I will repeat that need o be refilled (because there balloons suck- deflated in 3 days) which literally takes 30 seconds or less. The cashier also has a helium tank in the front to use but he would not allow her! "Commented she is the cashier and needs to do her cashier work" However , there were no people in line and the cashier was available. In any other business, we are taught to multitask, we are to keep busy at work, customer satisfaction is the goal. Not under Sebastian's leadership. So, my daughter accidentally pops a balloon, the cashier charged me for it but doesn't tell me, so since we're all being sneaky, after my purchase and as I'm waiting for my final balloon to get blown up, I walk over to get another balloon. She says "do you want me to charge you for that balloon" I say, "I already paid for it" she says, "I charged you for the broken one", I say "where does it say I have to pay for it because I have a receipt here that says I bought a balloon so I'm taking my balloon" ... the bickering goes on until the alpha male yells "MA'AM!!! YOUR RECEIPT IS FOR THE BROKEN BALLOON! YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE BALLOON YOU BROKE!" So I say, "why are you yelling? No one is yelling. You need to stand down." I asked if I can grab the weights my other balloons came with and they charge about $2 each. I live closer to the porter ranch store so I went there to exchange it on Monday. The manager refused to return it and said their policy was to return it to the same location you bought it from. I asked him where that policy was on the receipt. He said it was their costume policy. The cashiers were stapling a costume policy to the receipts but it also didn't say what he was saying. So I called the corporate office to verify the policy the customer service person said that wasn't the policy and he should exchange the item. He still refused. So since my family always waits until the last moment to get any kind of party favors, where else can you go but Party City? I needed New Years Party Favors, and I went to Target, K-Mart, and yes, I even actually walked into Walmart.(And walked right back out.) I saw Party City and said, "Let me give them a try!" They had a pretty nice size selection, considering it is 3:00pm on New Years Eve. The nice guy walking up and down the aisles, asked me what I was looking for, and when I told him, he suggested getting a Service for 50 package. They had a few options, but I went with the $40 one, it seemed really cool, and it would be great for 45 people. I also picked up a 72 piece of party poppers, and 2 24 packs of cool 2014 glasses, and got out for under $100. I love coming here. We have gotten gift bag novelty items for both my kids birthday parties, as well as 4th of July, Memorial Day BBQ, and now New Years Eve goodies. Customer service is always wonderful, and 99 times out of 100, they have what I need, or am looking for. Add in the great prices, and the fact they have a HUGE selections in balloons, Party City is my go to Party Store.
