We just recently had our wedding on the weekend of thanksgiving and we really liked the way it turned out. Since the first time we book the date until the day of our wedding. The owner gave us a tour of the place and gave us different options depending on the amount of guest. She was kind enough to guide us through the whole planning, giving us options on decoration of tables food etc. We cater the food through Party palace and the food was really good. We had time to practice our wedding and she was always willing to accommodate our time for practice and for food tasting since we had different options. My wife was really pleased on how it turned out and that's what matters. We took our time planning our wedding taking care of all the details and it paid off. Think ten times before you want to reserve a day in this place. Don't recommend it at al! I went yesterday to reserve a quinceañera event for September 7th 2024. Owner, Reina had told me she had the day available, so I decided to leave a $500 dollar deposit to reserve that day. She just called me 2 hours ago, to let me know that there was a confusion on my reservation. She told me that some other lady wanted to reserve the same date that I had already reserved. However, this lady hasn't paid any dollar to reserve the day as same as me, so Reina told me I had to change my reservation date because she 'apparently' gave her word to the other lady. Though, Reina called me directly and said how she couldn't keep up with my date because I didn't have a contract for a church which is none of her business if I'm religious or not. I definitely do not recommend this place, it was a bad experience the day after and she was unprofessional towards me and my family. This is the WORST experience with a hall I have ever had!! (And I've had a wedding and 2 quinceaneras so I know what I'm talking about) A family member passed and during our time of grieving we find out that the location for the celebration of life had water damage from the heavy rain this week so we have to search for a new location. We thought we found a great place in Party Palace (Boy were we wrong! ) Although it is a nice venue in looks, the service was absolutely disgusting! First and foremost, there was NEVER a contract drawn up with any type of rules and regulations. (Literally the most important thing as a legitimate business owner) the owner of the venue asked how many people and if there would be alcohol, we said yes, she then said ok you need security that will be extra, we said ok and paid. Never did she mention anything about any limitations (what kind of alcohol, glass bottles, liquor bottles) until the event was already happening. She decided no glass bottles, ok fine we can send someone to buy cups and keep someone behind the bar to serve the alcohol all night to keep it clean and easy. Next thing, we have a DJ coming in to play music and provide sound equipment with a microphone so that the guest are able to share their memories of our beloved one. Here comes this lady AGAIN! Stops the DJ and tells him to stop loading because according to her a DJ was not in the contract (What contract??) Proceeds to tell him that if he keeps unloading equipment she would shut our event down! She then tells my mother in law (who's just lost her brother mind you) that she charges extra for a DJ (one that she didn't provide? ) why on earth would we pay you EXTRA to have a DJ that we paid for separately?!? You are NOT in any way affiliated with this man's services! Again... these are probably things you should of made us aware of when you took our money! (Which was not cheap) The agreement was to be out by 10pm, we left sooner because the family was so distraught, stressed and all around so upset with the turn of events dealing with this lady! She took advantage of our situation in our time of need and instead of compassion she showed unmerciful behavior. Even though they "provide" clean up, to show our true character we cleaned up most of everything ourselves. The owner really ran us out, by hovering over everyone the entire night, following a guest to their car for absolutely no reason, and constantly pulling my mother in law to the side to share another made up rule for like the 5th time. Children were getting Sick, another young man nose was bleeding because of how hot it was in the facility. DJ"s equipment was overheated and still Ms. Amazing Reina, would not turn the Air On, or has not had it repaired. Previous reviews show, where others have had similar experience with the A/C and this facility. Your special day will turn out to be your Worst Day! The facility is unclean, staff is unprofessional, which made NO A/C worse. When brought to Ms Reina attention, she says she has a "Low Budget". While charging top dollar. Nice venue for an indoor wedding. Reina was accommodating with the requests that we had and made sure our reception looked beautiful. She allowed for my sister to set up extra flowers and was very friendly to everyone who was there setting up. She treated us very well and always calmed our worries. She has been in the wedding industry for many years and is extremely knowledgeable with anything wedding related. Also, she provided us with loving advice every time we went in to talk to her. do not rent from these people!! they are rude, disrespectuful and have horrible horrible customer service and compassion! we used their venue for a celebration of life for my brother who passed away jan 19th, our celebration took place feb 2nd at their facility on 930 19th street let me give you a list of horrible actions and outbursts they did this day. mind you we orignally had the bayou rented however, the day before the celebration the bayou flooded so in hours we had to find another location. and boy do we regret renting this facility the party palace. first the owners and her staff were in a room visible for them to see us and us them. standing and hoovering over us and our guest watching us like we were criminals in a store getting ready to steal! second my sister was the one who dealt with this crazy owner, and this owner wrote up no contract. my sister let her know we were going to have alcohol and the owner stated ok to pay extra for security in which we did.. as our guest starting bringing in alcolhol the owner went on a screaming frenzy causing a scene in front of our family and friends mind you we are all there to celebrate my brothers life who passed away and lost his battle with cancer.. friends and family were there to celebrate and share his memories.. when the owner saw family and friends bring in alcohol, she screamed no alcohol! no alcohol! made a scene and threaten to shut us down! it was very embarrasing for our family and friends, she made them feel very uncomfortable. meanwhile im trying to calm the issue to see what is going on and she states no alcohol and shuts the lights off where people are congregated by the bar area. i really cant understand her and i said did you say we cant have alcohol, is it in the contract? she stood quiet and i went and got my sister. the owners worker came out and told me we can have alcohol but it has to be in a cup no bottles no cans... so we said no problem. we advised our guest, threw all bottles and cans that were open out poured it in a cup and my brother and nephew started serving from the back of the bar. problem solved! nope this crazy owner took it upon herself to follow people out in the parking lot following them in their cars, going to each table and hoovering over them looking under the tables. at this point i was getting upset, the owners workers were standing around looking at us just watching, at this point i walked over to them and asked them to give us our privacy, and they did for bit. as we contnued to celebrate my bothers celebration of life. my brother was a lover of music for all that knew him knew he made music in a studio with a producer he was known as a artist and had many dj friends some of whom offered to dj share his music and have an open mic to share his memories. well this lady wasn't having this either as soon as the dj arrived and starting unloading she threatened she was gonna shut the celebration down because we said it was a funeral not a party! she made the dj load his equipment back up so we were like this is a hall this is a celebration of life she begain threatening us to call the police and have the event shut down so we said ok well just put one speaker up with a mic she agreed however once she saw the dj put up his speaker she complained and yelled and screamed about that as well . so there we go taking down the speaker at this point people were frustrated and were leaving. these were the most embarrassing uncomfortable this she did. this owner has no compassion no heart! she threaten to tow cars that were not even in the way or in a safety postion, she complained about the kids,she kept having her workers empty the trash cans that were not full. she followed people she was mad people were smoking outside the buiilding, this lady is trash. although the hall looks nice! looks can be decieving! this lady discriminated how we wanted to celebrate my brothers passing she expected us to mop, cry have silence and be quiet. we know my brother is in the kingdom of god with jesus, we know where he is! for this lady to dictate how we should mourn and celebrate my brothers life is discrimination! not to mention we paid good money to rent the hall we only stood at for a few hours we left at least an 1 in a half before we actually had to be out, and we even cleaned up a little! there was no drama no violence, no arguing, this lady or this place should be shut down, she is greedy, heartless and is out of control! not professional at all. i know there is more things that occured this night and ive already taken up allot of space. she made a memorable celebration a distaster! do not rent from this crazy unprofessional person. while we were there trying to celebrate my brother she conducted business as usually showing the hall to other customers making business deals, etc. i call her a con, greedy unprofessional heartless human! do not give her your money or business!! read more

This venue is perfect. I have read previous negative reviews and honestly I don't understand how people have had bad experiences here. Reina, the venue owner, goes above and beyond to make all your dreams come true. I had my quinceañera 7 years ago at this same venue. I remember all my guests were just amazed by how beautiful and perfect everything was. Reina made sure to take care of every little detail to make sure the night was smooth and perfect. The AC was never a problem. Because my family and I had such great experience here. I will be having my wedding at this exact place and already Reina has made sure everything turns out just how I picture it. From employee perspective: My friend and I needed cash and my friends mom knew someone who worked there so basically her moms friend hooked us up. My friend and I were so excited to work, but the job ended up being a NIGHTMARE. The owner was rude and would always yell at us over stuff that wasn't our fault. And it was very uncomfortable to work there because she never had the AC on, not even for the guest who PAID!! When we would clean up after the parties she would tell us to clean faster and so we did but she would come back and say we're doing it wrong.
