If you do business here, purchasing balloons. Be sure to double check that everything is tied tightly on your helium balloons. My mistake I did not double check there work. One of the balloons came untied during a 16 yr photo shoot, instead of excepting blame for not tying tightly, they told us not to yank on the balloons and strings. Considering I spent over $60 in balloons this week it's all good to buy another one for the photo shoot for $10. Just a heads up double check all the strings tied onto the balloons. read more

Positive: lots of party supplies that is unique. Helpful staff. Could be better: over priced, balloons were cheaper at Frys. NO changing table in restroom. With people shopping for their children's birthday party's, I was surprised. Not sure I'll be back to shop with my 8 month old for her first birthday party. Unfortunately, I can't predict when she'll need a diaper change, and I WON'T change her in the heat in the car. read more

I would give this store a zero star review if I could. Awful customer service. I spent $70 on Mylar balloons that were deflated within an hour- never filled to capacity either. Michaela was awful and unsympathetic. No wonder this store has such a bad rating!! Lesson learned!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! ****update**** The balloons were NOT filled leaving. Bless my dad's heart for being an elderly man and being taken advantage of. I showed photos of the balloons lying on the ground. Surely they can't think I have nothing better to do than complain about $70 worth of balloons for a first birthday party. Convenient for our town to get the usual party supplies and they are nice enough. Not the greatest selection...not sure why considering they have a huge space? They are also a bit over priced, but since the next closest "party" store is 15 minutes further, I guess you pay for convenience. They have some neat decor for Halloween and some costumes, but they only have 1 of the 5 things I needed! Had the absolute worst experience here today. I ordered a few different balloons over a month ago for a surprise party I was having today for my Father's 65th birthday. Ended up placing the order with Wendy and she put everything in a bag for today's date.....or so I thought. I had made the pickup time 2pm for the party starting at 3:45...when I got there at 2:55, yes, I was late, that was my fault, but nothing else that happened was. When I arrive, I go straight to the balloon counter and ask for my order. The girl behind the counter looks through the made orders and it's nowhere to be found. She then proceeded to look through the unmade order bin, came up with nothing. My order somehow disappeared. While looking through the bin, she kept saying, "I leave for one day and this is the mess I come back too. Nothing is right." All the while she was SCREAMING across the entire store for the manager to come over, took him five minutes to get there. By this point, I'm livid. I am late already and had no balloons for the party. When I went to pick out the same balloons I ordered and paid for previously, they didn't have them and I had to take balloons I didn't want and didn't like. I think my favorite part was when the manager FINALLY came over, he asked me who took the order, I described her, found out her name was Wendy and he proceeded to say, "Yeah, she's not the most competent employee." To which I responded, "That's really what I want to hear right now." Along with all that, when I tried to call around 11am to confirm my order was there, the phone number listed on Google maps was a cell phone that went straight to a fax tone. All around, this place SUCKS and if I were you, I'd drive the extra miles for Party City. Well worth it and you actually get what you paid for and a complete order! Your staff member was very helpful and made that visit extremely pleasant, but the order did not match those expectations. My graduation cake, did not even include my name and graduation class year, and congratulations. My balloons did not include the weight we paid for and was left out of the order, and I couldn't go back for it, so now I have to make another trip back for a refund. The balloon order was all jumbled up and tangled which was a pain to deal with. Also the balloon bouquet was not made, and after spending much time to untangle, we had to make them ourselves. They also have tons of props, masks, wigs, hats, etc.to complete your costume. They carry anything and everything you would need at a party, from personalized cakes and balloons, themed decorations, to cutlery. We ordered a cake for my husbands birthday and couldn't have been happier with it, both the design and cake itself! You won't be disappointed. I feel that because its family-owned, Party Planet understands the individual needs of all their customers the minute they walk into the store. From my own experience, the staff greeted me immediately the many times I have visited the store in the last year and were extremely helpful when I was planning birthdays and events. They made my process of gathering party supplies and favours very simple, while keeping with the themes of the event. I must say I visited Party Planet previous to the new owners taking over and was extremely disappointed by the selection and service I received in the past. However, since it has been taken over by new owners in the last year, the selection and service has greatly improved. A definite 10/10. This store is just the best! read more

I am giving Party Planet a rave review for customer service! I was searching for a cake for my husbands 30th bday party. I wanted something unique because it was also his graduation for his masters degree. Every private decorator was going to charge an arm and a leg for the "science" themed cake I wanted. I read a review about Party Planet and their cakes, so I decided to stop in. I described the cake I wanted and the employee, Andrew, helped me design and cater one to what I wanted. We took a design they already had and just altered it. Not only that, he helped me do Periodic Table lettering by using his own computer to make the design. Then the store printed it on sugar paper. The price was right too!! This was above and beyond service. We picked up the cake a couple of weeks later and also decided to get balloons. We ordered a very small bouquet but the employee once again went above and beyond by putting a "long lasting" gel so they'd last through the party! He even offered my daughter a free pink balloon. She was ecstatic! Thank you Party Planet for helping my husbands party be a success. P.S. Everyone loved the cake! read more

I ordered a pinata for my daughter's birthday party from the store in Surprise and was told it would be coming from another location and would arrive the next day. After 3 days I went back into the store to inquire about my pinata and why I had not been contacted and was ultimately told that it was never ordered, and it could be available in 2-3 weeks. In addition, I was overcharged for a pack of invitations that I purchased (the price charged was not the price listed on the shelf). I am extremely unhappy with the lack of customer knowledge of the two sales associates present on my initial visit, and the misinformation. The unfulfilled promise of delivery of a product that I was counting on receiving has put me in a terrible position. It is unfortunate that this family owned business has incompetent sales staff who are working to ruin their reputation. I will not be returning and I will be sure to share my displeasure with all who will listen. read more

I picked up my birthday cake yesterday for my 8 year olds party. The staff went out of their way to customize the decorations to meet our all of our needs. The service was outstanding. A lady named Michala helped us with all of the decorations, loot bags and party ware to complete the day. What a difference we had going to a family run business. The staff there really care about meeting all of your needs. I highly recommend them over any Prty City. read more

I have to say that I am sooo impressed with Party Planet and its staff. I went in last Friday to order balloons for my son's birthday party. They were very helpful. I found everything that I needed except for the right pinata. They called down to their other store and brought it up for me. Brittany was the manager that day and she was very awesome. They told me that they now make cakes so we ordered one. We just finished the party today and that was the moistest cake I think I have ever tasted. They told me that they are made the day of my party and that everybody says they are good... so i had to try it for myself. It's true... best cake by far. Outstanding customer service! I brought in balloons that my brother asked me to get filled with helium as we prepared for our mother's 90th year birthday party. The ladies working at Party Planet said they could fill the balloons with helium but they were too heavy to float. Rather the balloons should be filled with air and strung together to hang on the wall to form a happy birthday sign. I agreed and they proceeded to fill the balloons with air and then strung them on ribbon to complete the balloon sign. They worked for 30 to 45 minutes to complete. When finished I asked what the charge was. They said there was no charge and refused to accept payment, saying they were glad to help with the birthday party.
