My daughters school hosted a Harvest Festival recently and Michael was available to bring his Party, Ponies and Pets to Solorio Elementary. My wife works for the PTA and set up the event. She had rave reviews about how good Michaels professionalism, knowledge (about the animals) and communication was during the process prior to the event. We booked them for our twin girls' 3rd birthday party & everyone had such a great time!! (Even though it rained that day.) My little girls asked for a "My Little Pony" party and the first thing my husband and I thought of was "let's see if we can have ponies come to the house!" Sure enough, we were able to reserve 2 ponies and even paid a bit extra to have 1 pony become a unicorn for their special day. We also added the petting zoo for our other guests to enjoy, especially since my son loves farm animals, especially little piggies. The kids (& adults) had such a great time with the fun animals they brought! There was an attendant in the petting zoo area and an attendant with each pony, so I felt all the kids were safe. I was so worried about it raining for the party but Krissie and Mike were great with communicating with me via email & phone to prepare for their big day & made me feel at ease knowing they were ok with the rain as long as we were. First of all, this was my very first time hiring a petting zoo as I was trying to do something fun for my 3 year old daughter who could not have a party because of covid. Let me just say Michael was sooo patient in answering all my questions and more! Besides being a family business, their animals are really family to them! Its very noticeable the joy and love they have for their animals and business. They brought a few days old little goat, in which they were still deciding her name, and I totally felt in love with her, and they also kindly showed me how to hold her properly. We went with the petting zoo so that all the kids would have an opportunity to see and pet all the pets. It was wonderful working with Chrissy and Mike. The communication was excellent and they made sure to tell me what they needed as far as space and grass area. They were very accommodating with the time frames and communicated with me frequently. They were both very patient with all the children and adults and were also very comforting to the children who were a little shy with the pets. The price was also great in my opinion. Very polite husband and wife duo. However, after wasting several hours on the phone talking extremely detailed logistics, they decided they could not move forward with my requests. My requests were simple: medium size petting zoo, party starts at 4:30pm (to avoid the hottest time of the day) and they could park in our shaded driveway to ensure the animals were not being exposed to direct sun. We looked at google maps and they ensured our backyard was big enough with shade. They tried to up-sell me on a pony and the larger petting zoo, but I declined. They really really wanted me to get the large petting zoo so the kids didn't have to wait in line to pet the animals. I explained to them that it's perfectly fine if there was a limit on children I the zoo, and waiting in a line was a good life lesson in learning patience and the joy of delayed gratification. He pony was offered again, I declined. Spoke the next day, large petting zoo was encouraged AGAIN. They finally said it's just not going to work out and that they didn't think they could make me happy. Really? I had the animal's well-being in mind throughout this whole process and I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps because I wasn't willing to be up-sold, our event wasn't worth their time. Such a bizarre experience and an enormous waste of time. read more

I wish I could tell you just how amazing they are. I went to them a week before the event and didn't confirm until just a few days before. They fit me in despite my procrastination! That's just the start. They arrived 30 minutes early with gorgeous, sweet, clean animals. They were extremely friendly and talked to the kids the entire time about the animals names, stories about them, allowed everyone to feed them, etc. Then there is Daisy, the extremely gentle pony. My gawd. Every child got a long ride and the best part, our daughter was IN LOVE with her and the animals. I had the pleasure of meeting Krissie and her husband when I hired them to bring their Mobil petting zoo and one pony to my kids' birthday party. They were professional, informative and very kind.
